Factual error: In the season 5 episode, "Night at the Bones Museum", Hodges says that natron was a naturally drying agent, which was used in the second century B.C. This is both wrong and right. While it is true that natron was used for mummification, it was used for thousands of years in Egyptian culture, not just the second century B.C.

Factual error: In the season 5 episode titled "Night at the Bones Museum", Hodges makes a remark about the mummy wrappings being for an important person because it is a diamond weave pattern. However, the diamond weave pattern didn't come into effect until the Greco-Roman period that began at 332 B.C. It certainly wouldn't be found in an 18th dynasty mummy, no matter how important he was.

Character mistake: In episode 6-14, "The Bikini in the Soup," at the very end when Brennen brings the machine guns to Booth at the shooting range, Brennen puts on ear protection, but Booth does not, and he starts shooting. This would never happen. Booth, as an FBI agent who frequents the range, knows that one rule of any shooting range is that you must wear ear protection.

Plot hole: In episode 6-17, "The Feet on the Beach", Dr. Filmore stated that he was reading on Thursday May 9th and his arm stopped working. May 9th hasn't been on a Thursday since 2002. Hard to believe that he would be working for almost 10 years with his arms being paralyzed.

Continuity: Episode 6 x 16, "The Blackout in the Blizzard": The scene in which Wendell and Hodgins use scotch tape to take an x-ray has the number of photographic panels on which the x-ray appears switching from four (throughout most of the scene) to five (in the close up of the x-ray appearing).
