Doctor: These human beings. Consider their potential. From the day they arrive on the planet and blinking step into the sun. There is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than - no, hold on...Sorry, that's 'The Lion King'. But the point still stands. Leave them alone!
Trivia
Possible Spoiler: At the time of this writing, it is generally believed that the "Mister Saxon" referred to throughout Season 3 will turn out to be The Master. One piece of evidence backing this theory is The Master's penchant for anagrammatic aliases: Mister Saxon is an anagram of "Master No Six," and if it's true, John Simm would be the 6th actor to play The Master. Doctor Who (2005) - 39 mistakes in season 2
starring Alex Kingston, David Tennant, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, Matt Smith, Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, Christopher Eccleston (add more)
Factual error: Ida, the science officer, says that the planet is in geostationary orbit around the black hole. However, the word "geostationary" applies very specifically to objects orbiting the planet Earth. Since a black hole is a type of star, this planet's orbit could be described as astrostationary, or even just stationary, but definitely not as geostationary. A science expert on an interstellar mission wouldn't make this mistake, and she wasn't dumbing things down, either, since "geostationary orbit" is already a pretty obscure topic for people unfamiliar with space technology.
Continuity: When the Doctor and Ida descend into the core of Krop Tor, the screen charting their progress shows 39% Oxygen. After cutting away to an overhead shot of the two, the camera cuts back to the same descent display, only now the oxygen percentage (which has been descending constantly all this time) is at 42%.
Continuity: When Yvonne is taking the Doctor and Jackie to the Sphere Room, there is a sign opposite the door that has the words "Torchwood Institute". In the next shot where you can see the corridor from inside the Sphere Chamber, the sign has disappeared. It reappears again when Rose is going into the Sphere Chamber, but this time it has directions to the Reception, Canteen and Lever Room as well as "Torchwood Institute". It also disappears again when you see the corridor from inside the Chamber.
Continuity: Series 2 - Cybermen vs Daleks When the two Cybermen meet the Dalek for the first time, they are exterminated. They fall directly in front of the Dalek, but when the camera angle changes to show the second Cyberman hitting the floor side on, you can see the Dalek in the background. The Cybermen both fell straight forward, so it shouldn't have been possible to see the Dalek when seeing the Cyberman side on in the next shot, as the Dalek is facing them both directly.
