Kath and Kim (2002) - 48 mistakes in entire show

Factual error: Whenever Kim's phone rings during the first series, you can hear a polyphonic ring-tone yet she owns a Nokia 3315, which is a monophonic type.

Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where Sharon thinks that Brett is having an affair, a camera can be seen in the glass behind Sharon.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kath is following Kim up the stairs with her bags, when they stop half way up the stairs, the cameraman's shadow is visible on Kath.

Visible crew/equipment: When Sharon is stalking Brett with the video camera, a camera shadow is cast on the wall and as the camera pans along, it casts on Sharon's back.

Visible crew/equipment: In the opening scene, there is a reflection of the cameraman on Kath's TV.

Visible crew/equipment: After Kath and Kel's first date, the cameraman's shadow is cast on the wall as it comes around the corner.

Visible crew/equipment: When Sharon arrives back with the video camera, a cameraman is reflected in the sliding door.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Kim goes into the fridge and says "Yum cheesecake," in the fridge you can see the cameraman.

Continuity: When Kath is explaining about Kim's room being turned into an exercise room, her headphone cord changes depending on the shot.

Continuity: When Kath introduces Kel to Kath, his man-bag under his arm changes depending on the shot.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kel and Kath are talking in his gold car, a camera is visible in the rear-view mirror. When Kim comes out with the water gun and sprays the windshield, as the camera pans along a shadow is cast on the seat.

Visible crew/equipment: In the shot where the camera is looking at Kath's pictures, a camera can be seen.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kel arrives with the Arab Lilies, a cameraman is visible in the sliding door for a split second.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kel arrives home to Kath's house in the Rotary Club van, a cameraman and a crewmember's shadows are cast on the road. It also looks like one of their arms blocks the shot too.

Continuity: When Kath is out on the streets, it keeps switching from day to night.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kim is drinking at the bar after the speed dating, after she asks the bartender for another drink, as the camera pans its shadow is briefly visible on her head.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the episode, as Kel comes in the sliding door with his new perm, a camera shadow is visible on his back.

Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning of the episode, a cameraman is visible in the mirror near Kim for a split second.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kim arrives home with Sharon and her new golf uniform, a reflection of a camera can be seen in the side of the car.

Visible crew/equipment: In the opening sot, when Kath is talking to Brett outside, as the camera pans along a boom mic can be seen bobbing around in the window.

Revealing: At the end of the episode, when they are eating the sausages Kel made, when the phone rings pause the DVD. The phone cord is plugged into the wall, yet the power switch is off.

Continuity: When Kath and Kel are on the escalator at Fountain Gates, the old woman behind them disappears between shots.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kim walks out of the game, she goes to sit in her car. As Brett comes out a camera is visible in the window.

Visible crew/equipment: When Sharon has the dress on and is showing it to Kath, the cameraman's legs (he is wearing blue jeans) are reflected in the cabinet.

Visible crew/equipment: When they are all talking in the kitchen, a cameraman is seen in the microwave.

Visible crew/equipment: When Sharon is talking to Kim about the self-help book, seen in the reflection of the glass in the cabinet behind her is a person in jeans and a red shirt holding a script. Quite hard to see, but it's there.

Visible crew/equipment: Near the end of the episode where Kath and Kel are at the night club, when they are both spinning around, a camera shadow can be seen passing across their bodies.

Factual error: When Sharon is buying hen party accessories, the assistant asks if she's arranged beefcake. Sharon replies no, because Mrs. D (Kath)is a vegetarian. However Kath is often seen preparing chicken feet(in Old) and eating cocktail sausages in almost every episode.

Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where they are in the nightclub dancing the camera pans around Kim eating her lollipop, when the lights begins to flash, the camera and cameraman's shadow is very apparent on her back.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kath and Kim return to the Blue Barina in the mall carpark, you can see the reflection of a cameraman in the window.

Continuity: When Kath, Kim, Kel and Sharon are eating dinner at the restaurant, the food on their plates and the position of their plates changes.

Visible crew/equipment: Literally seconds into the episode, when they are at the club eating dinner, the tip of the boom mike is visible.

Plot hole: When Kel is giving a toast to Kath at the restaurant, he says that he has been married to Kath for a month. In Episode 8, Series 1 "The Wedding", their wedding was held on 18th September yet it is New Year's Eve now. That's not a month, that's at least three.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end, during the face-off between Kel and Sandy Freckle, when Kel says, "I used my brains and married her first" a camera shadow is visible on his back, then the camera backs up.

Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning of the scene When Brett learns that Kim has gone into labour, a camera is visible in the gold door of the car.

Continuity: When Kath, Garry, Kim and Sharon are on the tram, Kath sends Kel a message and sends an attached picture, which Gary ruins. Later, when Kel receives it the photo is different, because now Kath has a surprised look on her face. She didn't appear that way before.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kel and Kath are talking to Garry Poole about signing the divorce papers, a cameraman is visible in the microwave behind him.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end where Kel opens the limo door to take Kim to the races, a cameraman is visible in the window.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kel arrives back from his "Meet and Greet" retreat, when he comes through the door he finds a lot of clutter. When the door opens a cameraman is visible in the glass of the door.

Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning where Sharon is feeding the patient soup in the hospital, a boom mike is visible as soon as the other nurse walks in.

Continuity: When they are all sitting at the coffee table waiting for the ads, the cups and Chinese boxes keep changing positions, and the handle of the Chinese box on the edge of the table keeps going from up to down, depending on the shot.

Visible crew/equipment: During the end credits, when the camera pans down over the fence you can see the camera and the crane lowering it in the window. You can't miss it.

Factual error: In 4.2, "Fame," Prue and Trude see Kath and Kel arrive at the awards, and act surprised they are together. However Prue and Trude have seen Kath and Kel together at their shop several times and laughed at their dress sense, etc. They also didn't know who Kel was before, and in this episode they do know his name.
