Though Dirk Benedict is well known for playing Templeton "Faceman" Peck he didn't play the role in the pilot. The role in the pilot was played by Tim Dunigan.
There was the possibility of an A-Team reunion in a TV movie format where part of the plot involved the A-Team getting a full pardon for "the crime they didn't commit" but in was axed after the death of George Peppard.
The "crime they didn't commit" was actually stealing gold bullion from the Bank of Hanoi during the Vietnam war.
Despite all the shots fired throughout the series, the A-Team never shot and killed anyone.

The landing and crash scenes at the end were taken from the 1980 movie "Airplane."
Steel (series 2)
A Cylon is seen walking past Dirk Benedict -- a reference to his role in Battlestar Galactica. This scene is also used in the opening credits in seasons three and four.
