Her first husband, Bill, wrote a few episodes for the show and played Dan's friend, Freddy, in a season one episode. Tom Arnold, her second husband, played Arnie and was an executive producer. Continuity: In Season 2, episode "Brain-Dead Poets Society," when Roseanne starts to serve the plates of food at dinner, she hands Dan the first plate, but DJ already has one. When she serves the second plate of food and gives it to Darlene, a plate of food can be seen in front of Becky.

Continuity: In the episode where Jackie takes over the house, while Roseanne is at their parents. DJ comes in the kitchen and is sent in the laundry area for a shirt. Before he goes in there he is wearing a pair of dark jean with nothing on them. He comes back a second later with his head stuck in a shirt still with the same pants on. But when he finally pops his head through the shirt his pants have changed to a pair of stonewash, with what looks like bleach stains on the front. A wide shot of the kitchen in the next frame and his pants are back to the dark ones with nothing on them.

Continuity: "The War Room" When a depressed Roseanne emerges from her bedroom after Dan has left her, she tells Nancy and Leon that she wants to turn over her and Jackie's shares of the restaurant to them. She says she wants Nancy and Leon to experience the same sense of accomplishment that she and Jackie felt when they first opened the business. However, Roseanne seems to have forgotten that it was Nancy, along with her, Jackie, and Bev, who started the restaurant.

Continuity: During season 1, episode 6 "Lovers's Lane", Dan tells Crystal that his shoe size is size 11. Later in the same season, during episode 16, "Mall Story", Dan tells a shoe salesman he takes a size 13. Dan's an older guy and his foot size would not grow during the short gap between the episodes - the first took place during Fall and the second took place during Spring.

Visible crew/equipment: In Season 2 episode "Sweet Dreams," at numerous times during the trial scene, a production camera is visible in the mirror behind the judge.

Factual error: In Season 2, episode "No Talking," when Becky locks Roseanne out of her bedroom, Roseanne heads to the garage for a screwdriver to take the door off the hinges - an impossibility since the hinges are on Becky's side of the door. In the next scene, the door is off the hinges.

Continuity: In season 7, episode 24, "Couch Potato," Roseanne brings in a plate of sandwiches after Dan brings home the new couch. She places the plate on the the small stand in front of her. Between shots, the plate switches to the stand in front of Dan and then back to in front of Roseanne.

Continuity: In "Guilty By Suspicion," Jackie hangs up her coat in her living room closet. This is the same door that, when she first moved into the house, led to the basement.

Other: When the opening credits are shown, the door to the basement is in the kitchen. In the beginning of the series the door is still in the kitchen, but in later seasons the basement door is in the laundry room, but in the opening credits it is still in the kitchen.

Plot hole: On the episode "Scenes From A Barbecue", all the kids and Arnie are about to play a basketball game. Darlene and Chuck Jr. battle in Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who picks first. They both throw scissors, and then Chuck Jr. says he gets to pick first. They should have done it over, since that would be considered 'a tie', he really didn't win.

Continuity: Over the course of the entire show, the entrance into DJ's bedroom changes position. In the earlier seasons, the entry was on the right-hand side of the screen and the bathroom door was to the left. In later episodes, the characters entered the bedroom from the left-hand side. Everything else in the room remains the same.

Revealing: In the episode "Home for the Holidays", when the family is eating the Christmas cookies, look at the top of the screen. In the kitchen, you can blatantly see where the top of the kitchen actually ends, revealing gray panels. The Conner's ceiling never went up this high, so it is definitely set material.

Continuity: In season 1, episode 19 "Workin' Overtime" - Roseanne comes home and the kitchen cabinets are not painted/plain wood. In the very next shot from a different angle, the cabinet doors are painted.

Visible crew/equipment: In Season 6 Episode 14, "Busted," Roseanne, Dan, Jackie and Becky are sitting at the kitchen table with donuts. While they are talkin,g at the top of the screen you can see a visible boom mic going back and forth for a few seconds.

Revealing: In Season 1 episode "Toto, We're Not in Kansas Anymore," as the Connors are watching the news on TV regarding the tornado, afterwards, sirens are heard and Becky and Darlene run to look out the window. Becky looks towards the window before the sirens are heard.

Continuity: In Season 2, episode "Five of a Kind," when Roseanne & Jackie talk about Arnie, they act like they haven't known him long. Jackie even states, "I don't know him." Yet, in episode "Why Jackie Becomes A Trucker," Jackie sleeps with Arnie. Roseanne says all the girls made a pact in high school that none of them would ever sleep with him.

Continuity: In the pilot episode (Life and Stuff), Becky's braces disappear and reappear during shots in the kitchen.

Continuity: In one episode, there is a bowl of fruit on the table in the living room. The boys start wrestling and they knock it down. In the next shot it's back on the table again, untouched.

Continuity: In episodes when Darlene has just moved into her apartment, the bathtub is on the wall in front of the bathroom door. In later episodes, the tub is on the wall to the left of the door.

Continuity: In "The Birds and Frozen Bees," Roseanne and Darleen are sitting on the sofa discussing Darleen getting back together with David. The cuff on the sleeve of Darleen's sweater is partially turned down, and in the next shot it's neatly turned up.
