Continuity: Starbuck and Cassiopeia stand looking out the window. In the wide shot, her back is to his front, his arms around her waist. In the close-up shot, they are suddenly face-to-face, her hand toying with the trim on his cloak.

Continuity: When Apollo asks Adama if he was ever like Boxey, Adama replies "Worse". The two characters are standing well apart, each leaning forward with both hands on a railing, shown from the front. When the shot changes to show them from behind, Adama has his arm around Apollo, hand on his shoulder.

Plot hole: The borrowed (oh, all right, ripped off) plot of "The Guns of Navarone" does not translate well here. The premise, that the rag-tag fleet must pass through the "narrow corridor" guarded by the pulsar gun, is ludicrous. We're in outer space here. Outer space is very, very big. We can fly around one lousy little planet, no matter how many Cylons are "herding us" toward it.

Revealing: When the 'snow ram' loses power and stops, the crew jumps out to see what has happened. The snow surface behind the ram is undisturbed and trackless, as if the ram has been stationary long enough for its tracks to be erased. This is because it is actually on a set and has not moved at all.

Audio problem: On their way across the mountain toward the pulsar station, Wolfe draws his gun. Apollo says "The Galactica is the only ship in the galaxy that can protect you", then he pauses for a second. Right before the shot cuts, his mouth continues moving but no voice is heard.

Revealing: When Adama orders the fleet to "Flank speed ahead", the next exterior shows Galactica, seemingly turning to port, but looking at the landing pod shows the image is a reversed shot of the ship turning to starboard, evidenced by the ship's name being backwards.

Revealing: After an avalanche, Apollo gets off a guy he has sheltered. Around them, in the fake snow, are several chunks of ice or snow. As Apollo moves forward, note how they move less like snow, and just like the Styrofoam that they actually are.

Revealing: During the second wave of the Cylon attack, Galactica is shown from her port side, and her name is missing from the side of the landing pod.

Continuity: When they plant explosive charges on the pulsar weapon, Apollo, Croft and Lida are wearing black utility shoulder belts over their snow parkas. All three belts disappear in the very next shot.

Revealing: Due to repeated film footage, Sectar's full moon rises on the second night with the exact same, very distinctively-shaped cloud bisecting it.

Continuity: Bogan says they don't have much time because "the moon is almost full." But the moon, which is the planet's only moon, was already full the night before, and Bogan knew that. We saw his assistant run in to tell him.

Revealing: As Starbuck's rescuers arrive, they are riding unicorns. The second from the right is bobbing its head energetically enough that the sheepskin cap it's wearing is bouncing loosely, along with its fake horn.

Revealing: In the opening scene, the canopy of Starbuck's viper is not fully lowered while in space flight, leaving a wide gap under its starboard side that would have allowed his air supply to be instantly sucked out into the vacuum of space.

Plot hole: After crashing on the planet, Starbuck's pants are shown torn open on his right thigh which is bleeding significantly. The child warriors find him and bandage his wound. When Boomer and Apollo arrive to pick up Starbuck, they give him a clean uniform. In the next scene, he is in that uniform, but his injured leg is wrapped in bloody bandages over the new pant leg. It seems unlikely he'd put the fresh pants on, then bandages.

Audio problem: As Starbuck says goodbye to Megan, the shot from behind Megan shows his cheek and chin are moving very differently than the words he is speaking would require.

Continuity: When Boomer tells Starbuck to check his scanner, it shows three Cylon ships approaching. In the next shot, four Cylon ships attack, not three.

Continuity: After Cain leaves the planning session for the attack on the Cylon convoy, Apollo walks toward Adama. In the background is a metal wall unit. At the far right side, halfway down are four small compartments with handles that are all properly folded flush. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Tigh, the second compartment's handle is not stowed.

Other: When Apollo confronts Sheba, he says "Well, then we have found a weakness or two, haven't we, Lieutenant?" but the DVD subtitles say "witness or two" which makes no sense in context.

Visible crew/equipment: Near the end of Part 1, when Lucifer reports to Baltar that they've located the scout vessels, there's a fuzzy reflection on the back wall of some sort of equipment moving upward and to the left. Nothing in the scene itself is moving that way.

Plot hole: Galactica's sensors detect a second Battlestar, Pegasus- a shock to everyone aboard. Then its commander, Cain, speaks with Adama via video hookup, and announces that he'll be arriving at Galactica momentarily. Yet he arrives in a Galactica shuttle, marked "GAL 356", which hasn't been sent to go get him since they only just now discovered Pegasus exists. Even worse, this is the same shuttle destroyed several episodes ago when it crashed on Ice Planet Zero.
