Show season: Whole show  1  All

The Lost Planet of the Gods (1)

Mistake Continuity: While on patrol, Apollo enters a void in space, where no stars or other navigational fixes are visible. But in at least one shot, his ship is shown from the left side with stars in the background. It's the shot immediately after Adama says, "That's odd."

The Lost Planet of the Gods (2)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Apollo leaves the chamber after Serina dies, you can see the shadow of the camera moving on the floor as it moves closer to the door.

Mistake Continuity: When Serina rings the bell and says "This round's on me", she lets go of the rope. When it cuts she is still holding the rope.

Mistake Revealing: When Galactica arrives at what they believe is the planet Kobol, Adama, Apollo and Serina all go down to the surface. As they approach the ruins in several shots from behind, the three are obviously, almost laughably, replaced by stand-ins. Adama's white hair is enormous, almost helmet-like, and Apollo's is nearly as bad. Serina's famously long, rump-length hair is suddenly much shorter and she has no gun on her right hip. When the three are seen entering a shot from the left, the normal actors are back, including Jane Seymour's abundant brown hair and her gun. The stand-ins appear again later, in all the exterior shots obviously filmed in Egypt. The normal stars were filmed on studio sets.

Mistake Continuity: During the wedding ceremony, Adama states he is about to recite the most powerful words in the universe. He then says "Under the eyes of God, bound by the symbol of the faiths of the Lord of Kobol.". But in doing so, the actor forgot that in the show's "universe", humans believe in multiple gods, referring to them as the "Lords of Kobol" and "The Gods".

The Lost Warrior

Mistake Factual error: When Apollo runs out of fuel in space, he still controls his ship using the joystick as if gliding in an atmosphere. No thrust source is visible nor audible- only the sound of non-existent air rushing around his ship.

Mistake Continuity: When Bootes throws a tantrum at the bar, he knocks two hats off the bar and his mug falls over directly in front of him. When the shot changes to an angle from behind him, his mug is standing and one of the hats is back on the bar.

Mistake Continuity: In a wide shot, Apollo is inspecting an air rifle. As the wide shot ends, he holds the rifle wrapped by both hands. When the close-up shot starts, the gun is on its side, held by his right hand while his left is removing the air cartridge.

Mistake Continuity: When Apollo runs out of fuel, he checks to find a nearby planet to land on. When he sees one, he says "Thank you, Lord". Later, Starbuck says "Good Lord, I almost forgot." According to the show's canon, humans believe in more than one God, and always refer to them as "The Lords" or "The Gods". The actors goofed by making the terms singular.

Mistake Continuity: When Marcos places his bet, he has a gold mug to his right on the table. When the shot reverses to show Lacerta, the mug has vanished. The mistake alternates, repeating itself throughout the entire scene.

Mistake Continuity: When Tigh enters Adama's quarters, the photo frame holding Apollo and Athena's pictures is sitting on the desk. Next shot, Adama has it in his hands. Cut again, it's back on the desk.

Mistake Audio problem: As Apollo's Viper is under attack by several Cylon Raiders, he radios Galactica, saying "Galactica, Recon Probe 3. Where's Blue Squadron? I'm running out of time." A few shots later, aboard Galactica, we hear Apollo's voice over the radio, saying "Where's Blue Squadron? I'm running out of time." twice, back-to-back. It's a reuse of the audio from the earlier scene. We hear the exact same audio a total of three times in less than 45 seconds.

Mistake Revealing: Re-used footage causes the lupus running toward Puppis to make the exact same leap twice.

Mistake Continuity: Apollo and Vella sit in front of the fire and she tells him about her late husband. In the two-shots, their shoulders are touching. But in all the close-ups, it's apparent that they're much farther apart and turned to face each other rather than sitting side by side.

The Long Patrol

Mistake Factual error: Apollo tells Boxey they're leaving their star system and entering "a whole new galaxy." Wrong. Throughout this episode, the writer confuses solar/star systems and galaxies, which are vastly (literally) different things. Even with hundreds-of-times-faster-than-light drives, Galactica's fleet would need thousands of years to cross between galaxies.

Mistake Revealing: Starbuck is romancing both Cassie and Athena in different rooms aboard the Rising Star. Odd that both rooms have the same wrinkle and tear in the wallpaper just under the window. There's also, in both rooms, what looks like a black thumbtack repairing the glitch.

Mistake Other: The very first shot of the episode shows the Galactica is coming through a cloud of "asteroid dust". The ship is intermittently obscured by the black dust, yet the stars in the background remain perfectly visible- barely a flicker as the dust passes through the shot.

Mistake Revealing: When Apollo fires at Robber, his shot hits a pillar, knocking a chunk of it off. As he runs behind the pillar, a circular device dangles from a wire in the damaged part of the pillar- the remnants of the effects charge that was used to cause the damage.

Mistake Revealing: When Robber starts shooting at Apollo and Boomer, it's comically obvious that the two warriors have been replaced by stunt doubles that bear almost no resemblance to the actors- most notably as they run for cover.

Mistake Continuity: In "Saga of a Star World", it's established that the Cylons are entirely robotic. Their creators, a reptilian race also known as Cylons, were made extinct by their robots millennia ago. Yet, when Omega reports that life signs have been detected, Apollo asks "Cylons?". Apollo is the character that previously explained their history, so he knows Cylons aren't life forms.
