132 mistakes

Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-fi

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As they reach Carillon, we see Adama and Tigh shaking hands while standing right next to each other. When the shot cuts, Tigh is standing behind Adama.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Baltar turns to face the two setting suns, we see the lower one at the left has what could be a boat in its reflection on the water. The higher one on the right is over a mountainous area on the horizon. The next shot is of Baltar in close-up, then the next returns to the horizon to show us Baltar's view, which shows just ONE setting sun. The one on the left has vanished though there is room enough for it to have been seen in this shot.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the Warriors are playing cards, Starbuck places his cards on the table near the gold coins, saying "A perfect pyramid. Unless there's a better hand, the pot is mine". His right fingers tap on the table and his cigar is in the ashtray. When the shot cuts, his hand is suddenly up by his mouth, holding the cigar, and the cards and coins have vanished.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Athena is about to undress, Starbuck surprises her and she conceals herself behind a locker door. The strap around her shoulder changes position between shots.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: In the second shot showing the fleet of Battlestars (from the port side and slightly behind), two ghostly images fly in formation with the three Battlestars shown. They are just above the closest ship (where the narrow middle meets the larger rear section). It seems that the shot may have originally contained 5 ships and an attempt was made to 'remove' the most distant two, leaving the "ghosts".

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Factual error: Apollo tells Boxey they're leaving their star system and entering "a whole new galaxy." Wrong. Throughout this episode, the writer confuses solar/star systems and galaxies, which are vastly (literally) different things. Even with hundreds-of-times-faster-than-light drives, Galactica's fleet would need thousands of years to cross between galaxies.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Adama picks up the picture among the ruins, and says "I'm sorry, Lia", his grip on the picture differs from shot to shot.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Apollo and Boomer enter the club, Apollo walks in, placing himself near some curtains while Boomer walks ahead. When the shot cuts, Boomer is suddenly standing right behind Apollo.

The Lost Planet of the Gods (1) - S1-E4

Audio problem: Throughout this episode, Lucifer is audibly breathing while speaking, yet he is a robot, and unlike "Data" on "Star Trek", does not mimic human traits.

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Factual error: When Apollo decides he and Zac will attack the Cylons that are following them, he tells Zac to "hit your reverse thrusters and maximum braking flaps", but they aren't in an atmosphere. Brake flaps would have no effect in the vacuum of space.

Baltar's Escape - S1-E21

Other mistake: When Adama arrives to interrogate the Commandant, the guard reaches up to a control panel on the wall to open the cell door, but before he touches it, the door begins to slide open.

johnrosa

Greetings from Earth (2) - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: The Commandant of the Alliance destroyer is told the homing beacon on Paradeen is no longer transmitting. Yet in the next scene on Paradeen, Michael asks Vector if the beacon has been destroyed, as ordered, and Vector replies that he forgot to do it.

Saga of a Star World (3) - S1-E3

Plot hole: Starbuck and Apollo fool the Cylon basestar into believing they're two full viper squadrons. The Cylons haven't yet fully retreated behind Carillon (they order this as we watch), so their scanners should have been able to detect this deception far sooner than they did.

Jean G

Take the Celestra - S1-E23

Plot hole: Apollo lectures Starbuck about his appearance, reminding him that they will be seeing Commander Kronus, so he should at least "fasten up" his jacket. But in these shots and every shot after, Apollo's jacket is open, too.

The Hand of God - S1-E24

Deliberate mistake: When Apollo lands the Cylon fighter aboard Galactica, the view forward from behind he and Starbuck is a reuse of the same shot from the prior episode when they landed a shuttle aboard Celestra. Note the headphones they wear, then don't wear in the very next shot.

The Lost Planet of the Gods (2) - S1-E5

Visible crew/equipment: When Apollo leaves the chamber after Serina dies, you can see the shadow of the camera moving on the floor as it moves closer to the door.

Mortug

The Young Lords - S1-E11

Revealing mistake: As Starbuck's rescuers arrive, they are riding unicorns. The second from the right is bobbing its head energetically enough that the sheepskin cap it's wearing is bouncing loosely, along with its fake horn.

The Living Legend (1) - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: After Cain leaves the planning session for the attack on the Cylon convoy, Apollo walks toward Adama. In the background is a metal wall unit. At the far right side, halfway down are four small compartments with handles that are all properly folded flush. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Tigh, the second compartment's handle is not stowed.

The Living Legend (1) - S1-E12

Other mistake: When Apollo confronts Sheba, he says "Well, then we have found a weakness or two, haven't we, Lieutenant?" but the DVD subtitles say "witness or two" which makes no sense in context.

johnrosa

The Lost Warrior - S1-E6

Factual error: When Apollo runs out of fuel in space, he still controls his ship using the joystick as if gliding in an atmosphere. No thrust source is visible nor audible- only the sound of non-existent air rushing around his ship.
