Season: Whole show  1  2  3  4  5  All

Updates: Updated recently Series 5

Namaste (season 5, episode 10)

Updated recently Continuity: In the replay of Sawyer meeting up with Jin, Jack, Kate, and Hurley, Sawyer takes his glasses off with his left hand. After the scene cuts to Kate and back, Sawyer is now taking his glasses off with his right hand. Not only that, but during that scene in the previous episode, he only took his glasses off with his right hand.

316 (season 5, episode 7)

Updated recently Continuity: When Jack wakes Kate up on the island the first time, Kate asks if they are back. When that scene is replayed at the end of the episode, Kate's question is missing.

This Place is Death (season 5, episode 6)

Updated recently Continuity: When Robert and Danielle banter about what the name of their baby will be, Robert has Danielle's face cupped in one hand, and then suddenly in both hands.

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: In numerous shots of individual characters, while on the island, the sweat stains on their clothing significantly and repeatedly change, or disappear and reappear between shots.

Eggtown (season 4, episode 4)

Mistake Continuity: In Season 4 Episode 4, "Eggtown", when Kate and Sawyer start arguing, Sawyer's hair changes back and forth between shots from being parted to combed back.

Numbers (season 1, episode 18)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Hurley is at the new house, after his mom hurts her ankle, he reaches into the car window to get the cell phone. When he begins to dial, the cameraman's arm moving about is reflected in the back chrome of the side view mirror.

Deux Ex Machina (season 1, episode 19)

Mistake Continuity: When Jack speaks to Michael and Jin, as they build the raft, and then when he walks up the beach and inquires about Sawyer's trouble with his head, the backpack that Jack carries on his back is nylon, black/green with white trim. Yet, when Sawyer asks, "Sensitivity to light, that bad?" the backpack is suddenly transformed into a solid black leather, of an entirely different style. Then, in following shots it jumps back and forth.

Tabula Rasa (season 1, episode 3)

Mistake Continuity: When Ray's pickup truck swerves off the road, it flips and the tailgate completely breaks off, yet in the following shots the bright red tailgate remains intact.

Mistake Continuity: When the marshal and Ray drive their vehicles down the long road, the endless line of telephone poles are on their left as they drive, with barren land on their right. However, when they pass the third vehicle the poles are on their right and then repeatedly change sides in the following shots. (This has nothing to do with camera angles.)

Mistake Revealing: As Ray drives the pickup truck, an oncoming vehicle beeps and the marshal heads behind Ray's pickup. In the shot through the cab's rear window facing the bed, as the marshal pulls behind, the bed's side wall interior is seen (note the metal loop tie down on top) and the entire tailgate is gone; yet the tailgate is intact later, when the pickup flips over. The tailgate was removed for the shot to allow visibility of the marshal's vehicle.

What Kate Did (season 2, episode 9)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the end of this episode when Kate and Sawyer have just left the hatch they see a black horse. In the first shot with the horse, on the far right of the screen you can see the trainer's hand with a black glove. HD widescreen only.

Pilot (1) (season 1, episode 1)

Mistake Continuity: When Kate finds the pilot's wingpin in the mud, the pilot's reflection is seen in the water as he lies on the branches above Kate. When Jack approaches they all look up and in the overhead shot the pilot's position differs and he lies on different parts of the branches, note their shape.

House of the Rising Sun (season 1, episode 6)

Mistake Continuity: After Jin is pulled off Michael, when Sawyer removes the marshal's handcuffs from his pocket there is a very short link chain dangling - about a couple of inches. However, when Jin is cuffed to the wreckage the link chain is considerably longer - about a foot.

Par Avion (season 3, episode 12)

Mistake Continuity: In Episode 3-12, "Par Avion," when Charlie and Clair are attaching the note to the seagull, Charlie folds the paper into a small square and when the shot changes, he folds the paper again.

Outlaws (season 1, episode 16)

Mistake Continuity: When Sawyer shoots "Sawyer" there is a 15 ft tall grounded lamppost at the corner of the link fence, with an overhead curved head giving off the dramatic spot of light in the wet darkness, near the trash receptacle. However, earlier when Sawyer gets out of the car at the Sweet Shrimp, as he checks his gun, that towering lamppost is non-existent.

House of the Rising Sun (season 1, episode 6)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: While Jin is cuffed to the wreckage, Sun points to her wrist and explains in Korean, but Sayid shouts, "The cuffs stay on!" At the start of the next shot, a crewmember's arm is seen holding the reflector screen to Sawyer's left, as he makes a sarcastic comment.

Tabula Rasa (season 1, episode 3)

Mistake Revealing: With Marshal Mars in pursuit, as Ray drives his pickup, he holds the steering wheel with his left hand, and his stiff prosthetic right arm is down at his side. When Kate grabs for the steering wheel, in the side exterior shot the stunt driver is quite noticeable, as he grips and turns the steering wheel with his good right hand/arm.

Pilot (1) (season 1, episode 1)

Mistake Other: The Monster appearing in the pilot and causing the turbine to explode is a mistake (not trivia). This is actually an artefact of poor CGI effects that was left in the show in error. It was confirmed by the producers. You can see it best here: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Image:Turbine_Explosion.gif.

Pilot (2) (season 1, episode 2)

Mistake Continuity: When Jack, Charlie and Kate are walking through the woods and Jack is holding the transceiver, Charlie ask if he hears anything. Jack then answers "You keep asking if there's anything", while holding the transceiver with his right hand and his left hand down. When it cuts he holds on to the transceiver with both hands.

The Glass Ballerina (season 3, episode 2)

Mistake Continuity: Season 3, episode 2, "The Glass Ballerina". When Jin is in the hotel and is about to kill Jae Lee, he holds a pillow to Lee's head and presses his gun against it. At first, the gun is pointing to Lee's cheekbone, but when it cuts to Lee as he is sobbing "I'm sorry. I'm sorry", the gun is much lower, and pointing to his throat. Cut back to Jin, and you can see the gun is once again pointing to Lee's face. There was no time for Jin to move it between shots, and Lee did not move nearly enough to cause this changes.
