A Tale of Two Cities

Mistake Continuity: Episode 3-1: When Jin gets out of the car and goes into the hotel, there is a sign that says it's the second floor. However when it cuts to him hitting the man in the face, it's now the 15th floor.

Mistake Revealing: Season 3, episode 1, "A Tale of Two Cities.": In the scene where Ben/Henry is presenting a breakfast table to Kate, he mentions coffee which we can see is in a French press. Ben/Henry "finishes" the coffee by pushing down on the plunger of the french press, but uses only one finger with barely any pressure. In reality, a french press takes a significant amount of pressure to get the plunger from top to bottom, more than could be generated by just one finger. Additionally, we can see that the mesh-screen component of the French press stays at the top, rather than plunging down, which it should in order to filter out the grounds.

The Glass Ballerina

Mistake Continuity: Season 3, episode 2, "The Glass Ballerina". When Jin is in the hotel and is about to kill Jae Lee, he holds a pillow to Lee's head and presses his gun against it. At first, the gun is pointing to Lee's cheekbone, but when it cuts to Lee as he is sobbing "I'm sorry. I'm sorry", the gun is much lower, and pointing to his throat. Cut back to Jin, and you can see the gun is once again pointing to Lee's face. There was no time for Jin to move it between shots, and Lee did not move nearly enough to cause this changes.

Further Instructions

Mistake Continuity: Episode 3-3: When the stick falls, John isn't wearing a backpack. But when he picks it up, he is suddenly wearing one.

Every Man for Himself

Mistake Continuity: When Sawyer is put back in his cage after being given a pacemaker, he dips the sponge in the bucket straight away. As soon as the shot begins when Sawyer is looking at Kate undress, he is holding a completely dry sponge in his hand.

The Cost of Living

Mistake Audio problem: In the scene where Mr. Eko dies, he starts saying "Psalm 23." He says the first line, but when it cuts to him backing away he's half way through (note: righteousness).

Flashes Before Your Eyes

Mistake Other: In the series 3 episode "Flashes before your eyes", several scenes purport to take place in England. However, the poster for the Royal Scots Guards which Desmond looks at as he passes the Army recruitment office has the American spelling for "honour".

Mistake Plot hole: Desmond claims that he was saving Charlie's life by saving Claire from drowning by jumping in before he does. However, if Desmond had not had a flash to witness the event of him dying, Charlie wouldn't have known it was happening either as he followed Desmond to the event. As we find out later, they were a mile inland, so there's no way Charlie could have found out until a long time after Claire had drowned.

Tricia Tanaka is Dead

Mistake Continuity: When Sawyer helps push the minivan, there are small holes on his tee shirt's collar and a large hole on the seam of his left sleeve. When he walks back into camp with the beer, the large hole is now on his right sleeve, and the left is intact. Neither are flipped shots.

Mistake Continuity: Young Hurley (age 8-9) is shown with brown eyes, but the adult Hurley on the island has blue eyes.

Mistake Continuity: When Charlie is shaving, he cuts himself near his lip. Once he wipes the shaving cream away in the next shot, the cut disappears.

Par Avion

Mistake Continuity: In Episode 3-12, "Par Avion," when Charlie and Clair are attaching the note to the seagull, Charlie folds the paper into a small square and when the shot changes, he folds the paper again.

The Man From Tallahassee

Mistake Continuity: In episode 3-13: When Jack is asking for his friends to be released, Ben says ok and Jack walks off. The camera cuts to the women, then back to Ben, and Jack is by him again having walked off a few seconds earlier.

One of Us

Mistake Continuity: Episode 3-16, "One of Us". The amount of medicine in the syringe that Juliette is holding changes fullness from when she fills it to when she injects it into her stomach.

Mistake Continuity: Episode 3-16, "One of Us". When Juliette and Ben are talking towards the end, Ben is first seen with his hands folded (fingers interlocking) in front of him. Just after Juliette says "I'll admit to it, tell her it was the only way to gain her trust", Ben's hands are in the same position, but are not folded, his right hand is just lying on top of his left. Cut to a close-up of Ben, and his hands are once again folded.

Catch-22

Mistake Continuity: Episode 3-17: Juliet is shown crawling out of the sub. You see a side street where she is crawling over an uneven area to a dock about four feet away from her. When the shot pulls back, the dock is nowhere near her - she was crawling on a different dock.

Greatest Hits

Mistake Factual error: In the first flashback, when Charlie first hears himself on the radio, there is a close-up of the UK number-plate on the front of the van. It is the wrong colour: this is a yellow plate. As it is on the front of the van, it should be white. Only rear plates in the UK are yellow. This false plate was made up in mirror-image by the production company, as the actual van used was Left-Hand Drive. The whole scene, apart from the shot of the radio, was filmed and then flipped for the final cut, to make the van appear to be Right-Hand Drive as you'd find in the UK. Hence the moles on the right of Charlie's neck are on his left in this scene.

Through The Looking Glass (1)

Mistake Continuity: In episode "Through the Looking Glass" When Jack walks into the funeral parlor he looks at the coffin, the small part of the lid is to Jack's left, when they show you the coffin from the top the small part of the lid is to his right.

Through The Looking Glass (2)

Mistake Continuity: When Charlie is about to die, the text written on his hand keeps changing from light to bold and back to light between shots.
