Visible crew/equipment: Season 8, episode 8 "Move Doubt": When Carrie and Doug leave Kelly and Deacon's apartment, you can see the shadow of a boom mic on the wall to their left.

Other: On outside shots the front door is on the extreme right. Shots from inside the house show the living room on the left and the door in a central position.

Other: On the exterior front shots of the house you see the front door with three vertical windows. But on the interior shots it is just one window.

Continuity: In episodes that show the outside of the IPS building, there are some shots that show a mailbox outside of the building, then other shots where the mailbox is missing.

Continuity: In many episodes, scenes are shot on the front porch. It is often shown as a large porch that spans a great deal of the front of the house. But shots of the house exterior from a distance show a small set of stairs with very little space near the door. This isn't a porch on the back of the house as it has been shown to only be door to a small yard.

Continuity: The Home Cheapo Series: In the scene where Deacon, Kelly, Carrie and Doug are silently debating over who will pay the bill, Doug pushes the bill over to Deacon and it lands diagonally in front of Deacon's beer. In the next shot the bill has changed positions without being touched.

Audio problem: Season 8, Episode "Wish Boned": When Doug found Arthur after his running away and they were about to board the plane to St. Louis, Arthur's voice sounds fuzzy because the new t-shirt he's wearing is covering the microphone on his chest.

Continuity: When Arthur walks out the kitchen saying about going into a home, Doug's arm moves away from his beer instantly.

Continuity: When Carrie says that Doug's friends are there, her leg is straight. Camera cuts and now her leg is bent.

Continuity: When we first see the front of the house there is no wall. When we see Doug for the first time, outside the door is a wall.

Revealing: When Doug races downstairs to see his TV, he puts his hand on the wall and it visibly moves when he does.

Continuity: When Sarah is in the shower you can see in her shadow, creases from her swimsuit.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug opens the car door at the very start, a boom mic is reflected in the window.

Continuity: When Arthur is sitting down with his little black book, the way he holds it constantly changes.

Continuity: When Doug talks about sleeping on his mitt, the way he holds it changes instantly.

Continuity: When Carrie says that Doug is losing brain cells in the garage due to fumes, the way she holds the tickets changes instantly.

Continuity: The door to the house is on a corner. However, in the interior shots, they have a window each side of the door.

Continuity: At the start, when Carrie is talking to Arthur about being inseparable she has her jacket over her arm. Camera cuts and now she is putting it on instantly.

Revealing: When they first drive to their class, we see the street lights behind them. When Carrie pulls over to pick up Spence, she turns the steering wheel, but the lights in the back don't turn.

Continuity: In this episode, when Doug and Carrie are taking an adult literature class together, Doug comes down the stairs with his book in his hand, but when he sits on the couch he only has his book pillow and reading lamp, and runs back upstairs to get his book.

Continuity: In the episode when they are at the supermarket, Carrie and Arthur are talking about Carrie making a Thanksgiving meal, and as they are talking the frozen meals in Carrie's trolley change position between shots.

Continuity: Doug finishes playing the tennis game on the TV with Arthur and goes into the kitchen to get the Cheese Doodles. While talking to Carrie, he puts the Cheese Doodle package on the table with a can of cola behind it. He then goes to get a glass from the cupboard and in the next shot you see the cola is in front of the Cheese Doodles.

Continuity: When Spence realises he's eating peanuts, he steps behind the bench he was sitting on, but in the next shot he is in the front of the bench.

Continuity: After Spence suffers from his allergic reaction to peanuts he's seen lying on the couch. Doug then says something to the effect of having to scrape Spence's lunch off the fence, indicating that he threw up. But the allergic reaction took place before they got to the lunch.

Continuity: At the end of the episode, the dog looks out the farthest left window (if looking from outside the house) of the three windows to look at his old owners. Immediately Doug looks out the window, and the camera changes shots to outside the house. There are no longer three windows, just two. There is a wall where the window the dog is looking out is supposed to be.

Continuity: Just as Doug persuades Deacon to go with him to Carrie's birthday dinner, his position changes completely.

Continuity: When Doug goes to meet up with Ray, Richie zips up his jacket. In the next shot his jacket is unzipped.

Revealing: When Doug comes into the garage the first time, if you look through the garage door, at the end of the fence is a very noticeable crease running vertically. This shows the outside is a fake.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug comes into the garage and falls over for the first time, a tape marker is visible on the floor.

Continuity: At the club, when Doug and Deacon are talking about what film they rented, there is a couple at a table in the background. Camera cuts and a third person has instantly appeared.

Continuity: When Doug starts to explain to Carrie about getting the bike, he has his hands on the edge of the back of the chair. Camera cuts and now they have moved close together in the middle of the chair.

Visible crew/equipment: When Carrie gives Arthur the iron, six stage lights are reflected in the iron itself.

Continuity: When Carrie says to Doug that he can't have a bike, her hand are behind her back. Camera cuts and now her bag is on her shoulder and her hands are on her bag.

Other: Arthur gives his CV to Doug at the start. You can see it's typed but both Doug and Arthur talk about it being in magic marker.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug is telling Carrie that he hates the bike, a crew member in blue jeans can be seen in the back of the mirror on the bike.

Revealing: When Carrie and Doug are in the garage arguing about the bike, there is a shot of the fridge where tyre marks and a dent are visible. However we later see Doug make these marks.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug is looking at the bike for the first time, all the stage lights are reflected in the helmets on the table.

Continuity: When Arthur is telling Carrie he has got a job, Carrie is putting out paper plates. She puts all three out and then the camera changes angle. When it does, one of the plates has moved across the table and Carrie is seen placing it in position again.

Revealing: When Doug is seen giving a lift to Arthur, and Arthur is holding on very tight, the background is so very projected.

Revealing: When Doug comes in at the start and says he has been riding Ritchie's hog, all the stage lights can be seen in Carrie's wine glass.

Continuity: When Arthur gets the iron, he has it down by his side. Camera cuts and now it's up in front of his chest.

Continuity: When Arthur starts telling Doug about when he had a bike, you can see the tv gets switched off. However neither Doug or Arthur turn it off as both of their hands are in screen and the remote is on the table.

Continuity: When Doug is checking Arthur's CV at the start, the items on the counter keep moving - noticeably the mayo and lid.

Continuity: When Spence is talking to Carrie at the restaurant at the start, Spence has his hands out in front of him. Camera cuts to another angle and now he has his drink in his hand.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are arguing about the smoking for the first time, the cigarette has burnt down nearly half the length in a few seconds. Cigarettes don't burn that fast.

Continuity: When Doug tells Carrie that he is getting rid of the bike, Carrie has got a fag in her hand and her hand is up by her head. Camera cuts and now her arm is down across her lap.

Revealing: Doug falls off the bike at one point and shouts that he has had enough. He opens the door and if you look carefully a stage light and boom mic are reflected in the glass. Slo-mo may help but is not essential for spotting the mistake.

Revealing: When Carrie phones Doug at IPS, Doug goes to press the button on the phone for the correct line, but doesn't press any and continues to talk to Carrie.

Visible crew/equipment: When Carrie and Doug head out to the garage the first time, a boom mic is reflected in the door's glass.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug walks out of Carrie's room, a boom shadow can be seen just outside the room on the wall.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug says that Carrie is making progress with her room, a boom shadow can be seen moving along the door.

Revealing: Just as Arthur goes to look in Carrie bag, there is a wide shot and a cabinet can be seen by the door. In the glass of this cabinet's door, you can see a stage light reflected.

Other: Doug and Carrie leave the kitchen to go to the garage and are arguing. When they leave, Arthur is sat at the table reading his paper. However when Doug and Carrie return, 13 seconds later, Arthur has got two pieces of toast in front of him and is buttering one piece already. Yet there was no knife or butter on the table when Doug goes through.

Continuity: When Carrie confronts Arthur about looking in her bag, her bra strap is slightly hidden by her top. Camera cuts to a front view of Carrie then back to behind her. Now her bra strap has moved and is totally visible. Carrie never touched it during this time as we see her hands.

Continuity: After Doug has shot himself, the position of the staple gun on the bench keeps changing without anyone touching it.

Revealing: When Doug tells Arthur his toast is done, there is no smoke, but as soon as he is finished speaking there is smoke coming from the toaster.

Revealing: When Arthur is looking in Carrie's bag, there is one shot with a blue kettle next to the bag. In the kettle, 10 stage lights can be seen.

Continuity: When Arthur walks in near the start, Carrie is looking at him. Camera cuts and she is now looking in the totally opposite direction.

Continuity: When Doug notices that his tv is missing, he has cereal. But when he rushes into the kitchen to confront Carrie, the cereal has gone from his hands.

Continuity: When Ritchi and Spence are at the cafe, Ritchie has his glass in his hands. Camera cuts and now it's on the table and he is cleaning his hands on a napkin.

Continuity: When Arthur leaves to go to work after Doug calls him a demented old circus monkey, the way Carrie is holding her mug changes instantly.

Continuity: When Doug is saying that he's driver of the month, there is no beer in the pitcher. Camera cuts and there is a bit in the bottom.

Continuity: When Doug and Deac arrive at the cafe where Ritchie and Spence are, the amount of beer in Richie's glass is constantly changing.

Revealing: When Doug is running from security at the Mets game, there is one shot of Doug running from right in front of him, and the background is the game. In this shot, the background is very fake.

Visible crew/equipment: Right at the the very end when Arthur is telling Doug that he sometimes calls him (Doug) names, a boom mic drops into view for a few seconds.

Continuity: When Doug grabs Carrie and takes her into the living room, Carrie's arm keeps changing position instantly.

Continuity: At the start Doug knocks his empty pot over. Camera cuts and now it's stood back up.

Continuity: The cars surrounding Doug's car (when Arthur is talking about his accident) constantly change instantly.

Other: When Doug is carrying the bags downstairs you can tell by the way it's held that the big brown one is empty.

Continuity: At the start, Doug has the fish slice in one hand and the whisk in the other. Camera does an instant cut and they have swapped hands. This is not to be confused with when he is messing about and you see him swap the items between hands.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug goes to scrape the car, a stage light is reflected in the iced up windows.

Continuity: In the flashbacks in this episode, Carrie and Doug meet for the first time in a bar, but in the episode "Road Rayge", Carrie mentions a junior high school dance where Doug asked her to dance.

Revealing: When driving to find the dog, neither Doug nor Carrie's hair is blowing in the wind - even when they're on the back of the convertible.

Deliberate "mistake": At the beginning of the episode, when Doug and Carrie are in the shower, you see their silhouettes. The first mistake is that for the silhouettes to show like that they have to be evenly backlit which wouldn't make sense in the shower. The second mistake is a little more subtle; you can see the outline where the actor's bathing suits are (inevitably) slightly larger than the bodies. There is also a slight darkening in the areas where the bathing suits cover skin. (both of these things are much easier to see on Carrie than Doug because of her smoother figure and skin tone).

Continuity: When Doug is going into the living room after Carrie has gone in search of Arthur, his left hand is on the door. When he goes through the door, he is opening it with his right hand.

Continuity: At the buffet, the cup that is on the table is either on or off a saucer depending on the shot.

Continuity: When Doug and Arthur sit down to eat, the cup that is on the table is either by Arthur or by Doug depending on the shot.

Continuity: In this episode, Doug takes Arthur out to a favorite buffet. When switching shots between Doug and Arthur arguing about buying one or two meals, the coffee cup by Doug's right arm alternates as to whether it is there or not.

Continuity: When Doug is desperately trying to sell filters at IPS, he drops four boxes. When he picks them up, the position of one box in his right hand is constantly changing. Blue picture is facing the camera, but when the camera cuts, now Writting is facing where the camera was. Doug has not moved in this time.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug gets into bed after arguing with his cousin, a camera shadow can be seen moving over the bed.

Continuity: At the end when Carrie is telling Doug not to take any more shots, she has one hand on Doug's arm. Camera cuts and she now has two hands on his arm.

Continuity: When Doug is telling Arthur about the filters, there is a leaflet on the table. Between camera cuts, this leaflet is constantly changing position.

Continuity: At the start, when Carrie is trying to park, the same clip is shown. The same people walk by.

Continuity: When Doug is asking Carrie about the water, she puts a glass down and the level of water in both glasses is significantly different. Camera cuts and they are level.

Continuity: When Carrie is asking Doug why he likes it at the neighbors, her arms are on her hips. Camera cuts and now they are straight down at her side.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are arguing about selling filters, the bed covers keep changing place. Note the position in regard to the jeans.

Visible crew/equipment: When Carrie says about going back in time, a boom shadow can be seen moving over the wall.

Continuity: In the scene where Arthur is on the phone with PBS to complain about getting a "Civil War Series" box set, the actual set of tapes changes drastically. When it's on the table and when Carrie brings it over to the counter its a pretty large, has an American flag motif, and says "Civil War" across the top. When it cuts back to it sitting on the counter its a much smaller box with a plain design and says "Civil War" along the bottom. It's obviously a different set, not just the camera angle.

Continuity: At the start of the episode when Arthur is on about kissing ass, the way his napkin is positioned constantly changes.

Continuity: Doug sits down near the start after getting a drink and proceeds to pour a drink. When it cuts he has instantly stopped pouring the drink.

Continuity: At the start when Arthur is on about Al Gore, he has chicken in his hands, but when the camera cuts, he now has a fork and napkin.

Continuity: At the start Doug puts a drink down after taking the top off. Camera cuts and the lid is back on.

Continuity: When we first see Doug at the gym, the sweat stains on his shirt keep changing size.

Continuity: When Carrie asks Arthur how a legless dummy will protect her on the subway, her arms are either on the table or off, depending on the shot.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug is lying on the floor with the phone on him, the camera zooms in and you can see a boom arm reflected in the phone.

Revealing: When Doug runs into the phone when trying to deliver Carrie's package, it's very clear he doesn't touch the phone with his head.

Continuity: When Doug says to Carrie that he doesn't even know her anymore, Carrie's laptop and books are open over the desk. However when the camera cuts to her standing up, she has got the laptop folded up and her books in her arms instantly.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are arguing about not having gone out for pizza, Carrie has her pen in her hand, but when it cuts it's now on the desk.

Continuity: When Doug has a look at the bumper sticker Spence has, there is one fold in it, but when it cuts there is now three.

Visible crew/equipment: When Spence's taxi pulls away, a crew member, light screen and stage light can be seen reflected on the window of the taxi.

Continuity: When Arthur sits down for his meal, there is a bottle on the table. The lid is either on or off depending on the shot.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are in Deacon's kids' room, Carrie is changing the baby and between shots the baby changes from lying down to sitting up.

Other: When playing poker, Stef says she has all hearts which is a flush. However if you look at the cards she puts on the table, there is a 6 of diamonds and 3 of clubs. Therefore, not a flush. Everyone at the table, (Lou, Mr. Prezants, Deacon, Spencer and Doug) all agree it's a flush.

Continuity: When Carrie is reading from the leaflet, the way she holds it changes depending on the shot.

Continuity: At the start at IPS, Doug's tie is looped over itself twice. Camera cuts and now it's not looped at all.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are arguing about Holly taking Arthur for a walk, Carrie's arms are constantly changing place.

Continuity: When Spence tells Holly that he is walking his dog himself, his arms are at his sides, camera cuts and now they are together in front of him.

Continuity: When Carrie takes Doug into the back yard to yell at him, after she is done swinging at him, she puts her hand up to her chin. First it's her left, then right. It changes between shots. Each time the camera goes back to her it happens.

Continuity: Carrie tells the preacher that she and Doug met at a bar. When she hears the lie about her falling on Doug as a kid, she believes it and acts as if that was their only meeting before the bar. But in the episode "Road Rayge", she mentioned a junior high school dance where Doug asked her to dance.

Continuity: In this episode, Doug looks out his bedroom window and sees his parents and Arthur standing on the porch by the front door, but in season one, the episode when Richie sleeps with their neighbor, Carrie and Doug's bedroom window faces the Sacksi bedroom window.

Continuity: Doug made a blue snowcone in the kitchen and then goes into the living room to talk to Arthur. When he crosses the door in to the living room, the initially full snow cone is now almost gone.

Continuity: When Carrie finds Tina, she mentions the "stuff" that Tina listens to at work, and Tina tells her that it's salsa. We know from previous episodes that Carrie likes salsa dancing, so shouldn't she know salsa music?

Continuity: While at Doug's high school reunion, he and Carrie are dancing. Carrie has her purse on her shoulder. When they go for a beverage, the purse is gone. She was able to put her bun back without having a purse swinging in her face.

Continuity: When Carrie is starting her new work position, her bag on the desk behind her moves without anyone touching it.

Visible crew/equipment: When Carrie hugs Doug and wishes him good luck, you can see the battery pack for her mic in her jeans. Clear as day.

Visible crew/equipment: During the drag race at the end, several times on the van you can see camera shadows.

Revealing: Both times when you see an overview of the bridge, it's the same clip being used.

Visible crew/equipment: The second time Doug pulls up at the toll booth, stage lights and equipment are reflected in the car's paintwork.

Continuity: When Doug and Carrie are arguing over Arthur having a house, the head on Doug's beer keeps changing size.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug finds out that Rocky is in fact Rocky 4, a boom mic is reflected in the window.

Visible crew/equipment: When Doug and Carrie leave for their holiday, a stage light is reflected on the kitchen door.

Continuity: At the start, the distance the canoe has drifted changes instantly. And it changes a huge distance.

Continuity: In the scene where Spence is entering the place his girlfriend works, he is pushing the door in. When the camera angle switches he is pulling the door open.

Continuity: In this flashback episode, when Doug is shaving his moustache and talking to Deacon by his locker at IPS, Danny Hefferman's name can be seen on a locker. At this time Danny was not working at IPS.

Continuity: In the scene where Doug's father is shutting off the alarm, he does not enter 2965. We know this is the proper code, because it is Doug's birthday, and it worked when he entered it. It looks like he maybe enters 1459.

Revealing: When Doug puts the can of Fanta down at the start, the way it wobbles and sounds indicates it is empty, not full as indicated.

Audio problem: When the can of Fanta falls over, the sound of drink pouring out is a clear overdub and you can't see any Fanta though you should be able to.

Continuity: When Doug knocks the can over at the start, its position changes instantly.

Revealing: When Danny, Deacon, Doug and Spencer are fighting on the way to Memphis, you can see a blue outline from the projected background around Doug and Deacon.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end, when Denise tells Spence, "Thanks for coming", her microphone is very visible on her wedding dress.

Visible crew/equipment: When running to the church, camera wheel tracks are visible in the mud.

Continuity: The second time we see Doug's disk, it is spinning. In one shot it is spinning in shadow, but in the second shot it is in the sunlight.

Visible crew/equipment: When we see Arthur playing Shuttleboard for the first time, his mic pack is visible.
