Continuity: At the "Hen Party", Jeff Pruitt says hello to Thelma Lou and she states she is going to get coffee, then goes to the kitchen. However, when Jeff walks across the room and looks back, Thelma Lou is back in the same area. She never walked back from the kitchen.

Factual error: When you walk into the courthouse the first jailhouse to the left has a window. But the courthouse is connected to another establishment on that side. A window would be impossible.

Revealing: On most of the corners of the buildings, you can see seam lines running down between the different sides of the buildings. The bricks on the opposite sides usually don't line up with each other either even though they are supposed to be the same brick.

Continuity: About 20 minutes in, Barney knocks the announcement bell off the door trying to sneak out of the pharmacy, Andy comes in right after and the bell rings when he opens the door. You can see the bell swinging above the door.

A Plaque for Mayberry (season 1, episode 25)

Continuity: About 2/5 through the show, Barney comes into the office with a family tree chart. The edge of the paper is on the bottom of the roll sticking out to the left, there's a cut to a different angle and the edge of the paper is on top, not sticking out and still facing to the left. On top, it should be facing to the right.

Revealing: When Barney and Andy are searching the woods for an escaped con, they stop to rest and you can see the light level of the woods go up and down as the crew tries to adjust the reflector screen for the desired lighting.

A Black Day for Mayberry (season 4, episode 7)

Plot hole: About 2/3 through the show Barney is locked inside the armored car and Gomer puts about a gallon of gas into the gun port onto Barney's shoes. After Gomer is told of his error, Barney stays inside the truck. The fumes would have killed him, not to mention the risk of explosion.

Hot Rod Otis (season 4, episode 19)

Continuity: Otis is in the jail and can't sleep. He ask Andy for some water. Andy gets up, unlocks the door and then closes it again (clearly leaving the key in). He comes back a few seconds later and the key is gone and back on the wall.

Plot hole: The IRS man comes to talk to Andy about Aunt Bee owing taxes won by her on a game show. Why would the IRS man come looking for Andy instead of Bee first? Andy would have nothing to do with it.

Continuity: In Season 8, broadcast 240 Barney Hosts A Summit Meeting, in the scene where the meeting participants are in the kitchen, the Russian guy opens the icebox, does not close it, and sits at the table. When Aunt Bee comes in immediately thereafter, the door is closed. She opens it again and partially closes it; but in the next shot, it is fully open.

Factual error: Goober and the Taylors stop and get gas in Raleigh before heading back to Mayberry. As they are waiting, a Coors Brewing Company truck is seen driving past the service station. Coors Beer was illegal east of the Mississippi River until the mid-1980s.
