On 24 March 1975 Goodies fan Alex Mitchell died laughing while watching the episode "Kung Fu Kapers" in which Tim Brooke-Taylor uses a set of bagpipes to defend himself against Bill Oddie, Master of the ancient martial art "Ecky-Thump". After twenty-five minutes of continuous laughter Mitchell died from heart failure. His widow later sent the Goodies a letter thanking them for making Mitchell's final moments so pleasant. Visible crew/equipment: When Bill smashes the hole through the wall, a boom mic is visible at the top right of the screen.

Revealing: When Bill says "You certainly know how to hurt a man," and Tim responds by kneeing him in the groin, causing Bill to scream in pain. It's obvious that Tim doesn't actually come close to touching Bill.
