SpongeBob SquarePants (1999) - 275 mistakes in entire show

Character mistake: In "I Heart Dancing", the lady at the Krusty Krab tells Spongebob the dancing audition is the next day. Later, Spongebob is practicing at Squidward's house for a whole night, and the next morning Squidward says they have one more day to practice, even though the audition should have been that day.

Continuity: At the start of "The Thing" the walkway to Patrick's house is missing.

Revealing: In "Krabby Kronicle," when the female fish takes a copy of The Bottom Feeder, the pile of newspapers stays the same.

Other: In "Krabby Kronicle," when the two scientists exit Sandy's air dome, there are bubbles trailing behind them.

Plot hole: Ep 3-21 Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot: When the invisible Spongebob and Patrick scare Sandy, they are using a sheet to appear as "ghosts". However, the form of the sheet reveals that they don't have their helmet bowls on. How could they survive in the treedome that time? They sounded fine, not dehydrated.

Plot hole: 3-21: Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot, in "Pranks A Lot", Patrick and SpongeBob scare Sandy. When Sandy runs, gets into her rocket and flies away. When she moved bubbles appeared meaning there's water in her tree house. There's no water in there in other episodes because she's a land animal and breathes air.

Continuity: In the episode "F.U.N", the chum bucket is not across the road from the Krusty Krab, but in every other episode it is.

Continuity: In "Pranks-A-Lot" when Sandy flies out of her dome in an escape pod to Texas, she leaves a big hole on top of her dome. In the next shot, it's gone. Very noticeable mistake.

Continuity: REAL 3-18: Plankton's Army (aka Plankton's Last Stand) / Missing Identity: When the screen splits into 4, the last 2 events are not in chronological order. That is, they are not in the same order as they always have been.

Continuity: In "Where's Gary?" the length of the paddle ball string that SpongeBob uses seems to vary in certain shots. While the length is somewhat subjective one shot that is more conclusive is when Patrick finds Spongebob lying on the floor. The string on the paddle ball is fairly short. When the two get up to get a glass of milk, the string is now a lot longer.

Continuity: Throughout the whole series there was never a tree in Squidward's front yard. But in episodes like Christmas Who and The Snowball Effect there is a tree in the middle of Spongebob and Squidward's houses.

Continuity: In the episode "Missing Identity", when Spongebob is talking to Patrick about saying "hi" to him the first time, Squidward's house is gone.

Continuity: The Krusty Krab kitchen sometimes has deep fryers, and sometimes it doesn't. When it does, the fryers change locations in the room between episodes.

Continuity: In "Atlantis SquarePantis", when SpongeBob and Patrick are in the cave, the points on the amulet change size and shape between shots.

Continuity: In "Spongebob Meets The Strangler" when The Strangler and Spongebob arrive at the pineapple, look at the door: there is no doormat below it, but a couple minutes later Spongebob pulls a key out from under the doormat that was not there before.

Plot hole: In the Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy episode with the shrink ray (Episode 3 or 4?) Plankton is shown as taller than the town at the end of the episode. However, when Spongebob is shrinking the people of Bikini Bottom, their sizes in the pickle jar seem to be equal with Plankton's actual height. In reality, Plankton should have been around the same size as the rest of Bikini Bottom's residence after the shrinking, not 5 times taller.

Continuity: In "Not Normal" when SpongeBob says "Hmm. This video tape should help," his right arm is missing.

Continuity: In "The Bully" SpongeBob accidentally runs into Flats' dad's car and there is only one seat. Later Flats is shown sitting in the car.

Continuity: In the Tattletale Strangler episode, the Tattletale's dots on his head change numbers constantly. Sometimes there are 5 on his right, sometimes 6, sometimes his left side has a scar and 5 dots, sometimes a scar and no dots.

Continuity: In episode 3-21, Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot, in "Pranks A Lot": SpongeBob and Patrick are going to burn Mr. Krab's dollar, so he throws water on them and they become visible. Patrick is holding Mr. Krab's dollar. When he says "We're visible again", and he and SpongeBob start to scream, the dollar completely disappears.

Other: In "Spongebob Meets The Strangler" when that fish holds up Spongebob's dry cleaning at the supermarket, it looks like he is holding it up with a coathanger because his hand is up in the air, but you can easily see nothing is holding it up. It's just floating up in the air.

Continuity: In the Season 4 episode "Selling Out", at the end, all the customers leave the Krusty Krab. But when the Krusty Krab floods, the place is packed with customers.

Continuity: On "One Krab's Trash", when Mr. Krabs draws a ghost on a sheet of paper, it shows before it goes into Spongebob's rooms that there's only writing on one side (i.e. the ghost) and when it goes into his room, a shopping list is on the back.

Continuity: In "Sing a Song of Patrick" in season 4, Patrick creates his own song and listens to it with Spongebob in his pineapple. And at the end of the song the pineapple melts and the stereo falls on top of them and not the pineapple. But when they get up, the busted stereo disappears and the pineapple is on top of them.

Continuity: In "Bubblestand" after Squidward blows the huge bubble, he tells Spongebob and Patrick that the ability to blow bubbles is in his genes. If you look at the position of the bubblestand sign, the sign is facing the direction Squidward is talking. The sign had always been facing the street, which means that Squidward was actually talking towards the street, when Spongebob and Patrick are actually to his right.

Continuity: When Spongebob first shows the Patrick the technique for bubble-blowing, there are two red corals in the background - one on his right and one on his left. Later, when he shows Squidward the technique the red coral on the left side of the screen disappears.

Continuity: In the scene where Squidward complains to Spongebob about the construction noise from his stand, Squidward's porthole in the background is black, but from the interior there is a light on (Note: this also happens in every other shot of his house.

Continuity: SpongeBob takes off his ripped pants, and throws them on the ground. His shirt sleeves are perfectly intact. Next, Sandy and Larry are shown playing volleyball. When SpongeBob is shown again, his pants are still gone, and so are his shirt sleeves.

Continuity: In "Help Wanted" Gary doesn't have eyelashes. In every other episode he does.

Continuity: In "Reef Blowers," when Spongebob is flying back from the rope he is pulling, Squidward is nowhere to be seen. When the ocean is getting drained, Squidward is sitting on his porch.

Continuity: At the beginning of "Reef Blowers", when Squidward exits his house, you can see that strangely his color is brown. But later in the episode he returns to his normal color, a light blue.

Continuity: In "help wanted" when Spongebob wakes up and is climbing up the diving board the number of bars greatly maximizes when it zooms out on it.

Continuity: In "Plankton", when Plankton says tomorrow is his birthday, he is near Spongebob's thumb. When the camera zooms in on Plankton, he is instantly in the middle of Spongebob's hand.

Character mistake: In "Plankton" when Spongebob is in Plankton's lab, he says the ingredients in a Krabby Patty. He doesn't mention the secret sauce.

Continuity: In "Plankton", when Plankton is controlling Spongebob, Spongebob goes to put his pants on, but Plankton has him walk through them. As they're walking towards the pants, the tie is red. As they're walking through the pants, the tie turns black. As they walk away from the pants, the tie is red again.

Audio problem: In "Plankton" in the beginning, when Spongebob is outside with Mr. Krabs, Spongebob laughs. His laugh sounds different that how it does in the rest of the show.

Audio problem: In "Jellyfishing", in the beginning, when Squidward walks out of his house with his bike, Spongebob says "Hey, Squidward" but his mouth is saying something different.

Continuity: In Jellyfishing, when Patrick puts the net in Squidward's hand, at first it is in his left hand, but when he gets the jellyfish on the king jellyfish, it is on his right hand.

Continuity: Spongebob crashes through Squidward's house, and his bedroom is on the bottom floor. But in "Shanghied" after Squidward exits the fly of doom, you can see his bedroom is on the top floor, as it is in other episodes.

Continuity: In Plankton, when SpongeBob steps on Plankton, he steps on him with his left foot, except he pulls Plankton off of his right foot.

Continuity: In Plankton! When Plankton pulls out a radio player to play his evil music on SpongeBobs pillow, it has disappeared when Spongebob wakes up. SpongeBob didn't move on it.

Other: In Jellyfishing, when SpongeBob and Patrick first take their nets to jellyfishing, they only take their own nets. But when they go to Squidward's house, they have another net, just for him.

Continuity: In 'Plankton', when Spongebob is being controlled by Plankton and he bounces into the wall in the Chum Bucket, he is tumbling in a way so that when he is standing, he is facing away from the ingredient identifier. When the shot changes, Spongebob is now facing the identifier while standing.

Continuity: At the beginning of Plankton., Plankton is very small. Later in the episode, as in the rest of the show, he's bigger and not that small.

Continuity: In Plankton, when Plankton is taking over SpongeBob's mind, you see that he goes through the fridge with food on his head, but in the next shot, it's gone.

Continuity: When SpongeBob and Plankton jellyfish,SpongeBob catches a jellyfish with no spots. Then it shows the jellyfish with spots or vice-versa.

Continuity: Spongebob, controlled by Plankton, wasn't aiming directly at Squidward's house, but he eventually breaks through the wall.

Continuity: The words "Total Control" constantly appear and disappear from the controlling device in Spongebob's brain.

Continuity: When Squidward starts making pink bubbles with messages, he goes to his backyard. Notice he never closed the back window of his house. When he starts laughing because of the messages, suddenly the window is closed. After Patrick saves Squidward, the window is still closed, but when they go to the front of his house, the window is open.

Plot hole: When Patrick tells SpongeBob how to drive with the walkie-talkie, and SpongeBob starts driving with his help, you can see that in the track there's a wall of red bricks, that he must not crash. In order for not to crash it, SpongeBob must continue the road, turn left, turn right and turn right again. However, Patrick just says to continue the road, turn left and turn right. He didn't say about turning right again, and SpongeBob must have turned right to continue in the road. However, SpongeBob does continue in the road.

Audio problem: In 'Boating School' when Mrs. Puff blows up she has a deep voice, but in all the other episodes her voice stays the same.

Continuity: When Patrick runs out of Spongebob's house after Spongebob cries and says he's cheating, the lower right window beside the door is gone.

Continuity: The track changes between days.

Audio problem: In "Pizza Delivery," when you see them being sucked towards the whirlpool (wide shot of whirlpool). Squidward says, "Let go of the pizza." several times before they actually get caught up in the whirlpool. But the time where he says the line and it automatically cuts to his face, when you see his face, it is the end of him saying the line so you hear, ".izza." You hear that, but when you see a close up of his face, his mouth is completely shut.

Continuity: After Spongebob's house is gone, Squidward boo-hoos and goes into his house, then sounds happy. He starts throwing streamers and confetti out of his NOT-OPEN porthole. If the porthole was closed, they wouldn't fly out. Similar to some other ones in this show, and one in Fairly Odd Parents.

Continuity: At the beginning of "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy", when SpongeBob and Patrick are watching TV viewing Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy show, you can see that these heroes have 5 fingers on their hands, as the real human beings. However, when SpongeBob and Patrick meet these heroes, as in the rest of the show, you can see that now, the heroes, have 4 fingers on their hands, as cartoon characters usually have.

Audio problem: When Bubble Bass runs out of the Krusty Krab he is gasping and panting, but his mouth stays closed, his mouth doesn't even open a centimeter.

Continuity: In episode 1-7, Hall Monitor, Patrick says Spongebob is at the intersection of Conch and Coral, and we then see the street sign. However when we see Spongebob standing on the road, there is only one road, and no intersection.

Continuity: When SpongeBob asks Squidward to play his clarinet better, he is wearing his night shirt which is purple, but in the next shot he is wearing his normal shirt which is brown.

Continuity: In "Jellyfish jam", when SpongeBob shows the jellyfish to Squidward, and the jellyfish starts to do a lot of things, you see that Squidward is looking by his porthole in his house. The porthole is closed. However, when he says "How can anybody have fun with a jellyfish?" his arms go outside the porthole. But this is impossible, since the porthole is closed.

Continuity: In "Squeaky Boots", Mr. Krabs starts hearing squeaky sounds everywhere. Then he goes mad, and says he took the boots from SpongeBob. In this point, notice of the restaurant floor's color. Mr.Krabs somehow lifts the whole restaurant but we can still see some floor (where Krab is). Notice that now the color of the floor has changed.

Continuity: Sandy's Rocket: When you first see SpongeBob in bed you can see a mysterious glass window on the floor. When Patrick arrives it has vanished, evident in the wide shot.

Continuity: When SpongeBob is explaining why he thinks there are aliens in Sandy's Rocket, you can see a plant and rocks. We see a wide shot and it has now disappeared.

Continuity: When Pearl is opening her present the cake disappears.

Continuity: When Spongebob goes to answer his door, Patrick was obviously in front of the door. After Patrick says, "Spongebob doesn't like me anymore", it cuts to a different shot to show the outside of the front door, and Patrick has moved to the side of the door.

Revealing: In "Culture Shock" when Spongebob takes the green fish's order, he has a pencil tucked in his ear, but he doesn't have an ear, so it's just floating in thin air.

Character mistake: In "Culture Shock," at the beginning of the talent show, Squidward says, "Welcome to the first annual Talent Show," which means they would have one once a year. However, at the end of the episode, Mr. Krabs says something like, "I can't wait till next week's show," meaning they would have one once a week.

Continuity: When Squidward comes out of the bathroom and sees his melted sculpture, the eyes on the melted sculpture change from looking on the floor to looking up in a matter of seconds.

Other: If Squidward's sculpture melted, wouldn't the eyes melt too?

Continuity: When Patrick throws Squidward the watermelon, it lands on his torso and he falls down. When the camera goes back to Squidward, the watermelon is in his mouth.

Continuity: When Spongebob is talking about Annoy Squidward Day, you see a calendar with 28 days, indicating that it's February, but the empty picture on the wall says January.

Continuity: A mistake that's complicated to say but I'll try. We see Spongebob in his long legs walk over to Mr. Krabs' house, then we see the door from inside the house. Through the window we see Spongebob's long legs, yet we hear him spring boing his way over when we see them already there. This MIGHT count as both a continuity mistake and an audio problem, but I've submitted it using Continuity.

Continuity: Spongebob says that this is the 27th award he has won, yet when he is standing in front of the pictures there are at least 30.

Continuity: When Spongebob is crying next to the employee of the month wall, (just before he says "How could I have let the quality of my work slip so much?") the order of the pictures is messed up. It goes December, February, January. Then, when we see the close-up of Squidward's face laughing, the order is correct again.

Continuity: When Spongebob, in his black suit and long legs, is at the door of Mr Krabs', he used a lever to lower himself down. When we cut back to Spongebob, it's gone.

Revealing: When Pearl is crying in the Krusty Krab, the customers are just the same person over and over and over.

Continuity: Spongebob absorbs the pink punch making him look pink in 2 shots - one showing him squirting punch out of his nose, but a shot after that shows him yellow.

Continuity: When Spongebob is cutting his Jack-O-Lantern, he cuts out an eye on his right, but in the shot from inside the pumpkin the eye hole is gone, then the eye reappears.

Continuity: When Spongebob throws the crabby patties on Squidward's head there are only 6 of them, later there's at least 8.

Continuity: When Squidward is in the white place and crashes through the floor, he doesn't have his clarinet before he crashes through the floor. But when he is in the time machine, he has his clarinet.

Audio problem: In the scene where Spongebob is falling into Gary's dream, Spongebob is screaming for at least one second after he hits the ground.

Continuity: When all of Spongebob's friends are formed around him, there's one scene where Pearl's hat disappears and then reappears, so for a few seconds she's completely bald. Her hair isn't even there.

Continuity: Sleepy Time: When everyone woke up SpongeBob near the end, Pearl is seen without her ponytail, but in the next shot, she has a nightcap on.

Continuity: In "Sleepy Time" when the neighbours are crowded around Spongebob, Plankton is standing on the end of the bed. When the angle changes, he's gone. Then he jumps onto the bed before Patrick joins them.

Continuity: In "Suds" after Spongebob crashes through his bedroom window, the blanket is hanging over the side and is all wavy, but when he's in bed it's completely plain and doesn't hang over the sides.

Plot hole: When SpongeBob goes to Sandy's house, he blows a chocolate bubble with the shape of a heart. Sandy opens a little door and the heart comes in. But, if the heart enters, don't you think that water would have also entered?

Continuity: In "Valentine's Day", Patrick starts searching his present in the fair. Then he goes to a mountain and falls thinking that there will be his present. This mountain wasn't there before, even when they arrived to the fair.

Continuity: In "Valentine's Day", SpongeBob and Patrick arrive at the fair. They watch the fair. Patrick says "You bought me a fair?", and Patrick runs to the fair. When he starts saying, "Get out of my fair.", we see that SpongeBob is closer to the fair than he was before.

Continuity: In Valentine's Day, almost at the end, Patrick smashes some presents with his foot. After a while, Sandy arrives with Patrick's present (a chocolate globe), and you can see that the presents have dissapeared.

Audio problem: In the episode "Rock Bottom" when Spongebob says "Another funtastic day at glove world," near the beginning, if you watch Spongebob's mouth, it only says "Another funtastic." It never says "day at glove world."

Continuity: In the scene where Mr. Krabs is saying "this is no game" Spongebob is in his underwear, then it goes to Mr. Krabs and back to Spongebob and he's in his work clothes.

Continuity: In "Rock Bottom" when Spongebob is on line and the egg cracks, you can see the cracked pieces on the ground and then when he does his (in pants) "Barnacles, tartar sauce" you can't see the egg pieces.

Revealing: In "Rock Bottom" when Spongebob gets to the kelp bar and whenever he puts his hand in the bus vrooms, but watch when he runs over to catch the bus he runs right through the bus.

Continuity: In "Rock Bottom" when it shows SpongeBob with a glove on his nose, he looks out the window. In the next two scenes, it shows him again, but this time the little glove is gone.

Revealing: When Squidward is running to catch Spongebob, the people in the background and the foreground just repeat over and over (like the fish in the pink in the front is seen about three times) almost like it is a loop.

Continuity: In "Neptune's Spatula", Patrick takes a picture of SpongeBob holding the spatula. When this happens, we can see that SpongeBob is a little worried because clouds have appeared there. However, after a while, Patrick shows the picture to Neptune, and we can see that in the picture SpongeBob is smiling and pointing with the spatula.

Continuity: When Spongebob grabs Squidward's legs you only see him grabbing at two of Squidward's legs and the other two legs have disappeared, but when the shot changes they're back again.

Continuity: Eventually after Spongebob takes the door wheel handle off, it comes back.

Continuity: When Spongebob takes his outer suit/pants off and finds out that the hook is stuck through his underpants, Mr. Krabs places a Help Wanted sign up on the front door of the Krusty Krab. When Spongebob crashes onto the doors naked, the sign disappears.

Continuity: In "Hooky," when Spongebob gets hooked, the hook changes from dark yellow, to dark pink, to dark blue in between shots.

Continuity: Before SpongeBob takes off his pants, his pants are the only thing that is hooked to the fish hook. Later in the scene, his underwear is hooked as well.

Continuity: In the beginning of Hooky, there are about three boats with 3 fisherman in each. That means there would be 9, but later there are dozens.

Continuity: When Spongebob is playing the organ at night, he turns around and his glasses are on. In 2 of the 3 shots, the glasses disappear.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Spongebob is playing the organs at night, the level of ambient light increases dramatically between the first and second shots.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Spongebob is making the sundae, the peanut plant vase that he throws in changes direction between shots.

Continuity: In Something Smells, once Spongebob finishes saying hello to all the band people, he says "Is it something I said?". You see him start to walk back but when you see a close up of him, a fire hydrant appears.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Spongebob finishes eating the sundae and he comes out of the room and drops his spoon. He turns to his right, the spoon that he dropped has disappeared.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Patrick is helping Spongebob outside with the "mirror test", he pulls out the mirror and you see his face to the side of it. In the next shot he is completely behind it.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Spongebob is making the sundae, when he says "This sundae is gonna taste great" he has one spoon in his hand, but when he turns around, he has 2 spoons.

Continuity: When Spongebob jumps on a car and asks "am I ugly", and the guy blows up his car, you see his car has small little wheels. When one of the wheels bounces on Spongebob, it is huge.

Continuity: When Pearl gives SpongeBob the new costume for the Krusty Krab, she gives SpongeBob a mirror. In the mirror, Squidward appears and tells him not to accept the costume. If you notice, Squidward is at the LEFT of SpongeBob. Because is a mirror, in the real life he would be at the RIGHT of SpongeBob. When a shot is shown of SpongeBob and Squidward, you can see that Squidward isn't at the RIGHT of SpongeBob, he's at the LEFT.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Patrick tells the story about the ugly barnacle to help cheer Spongebob up, the chair that Spongebob sits in disappears in the next few shots.

Continuity: When Spongebob is outside, and he takes out his "to do list" at first he is holding it with his right hand, but when it shows the front of the paper, you see that it is his left hand. Then it is his right hand again.

Continuity: When SpongeBob shows Patrick his sundae Patrick's eyebrows burn. In the very next shot, they're back.

Continuity: In Something Smells, when Spongebob jumps on the car and says "am I ugly" you see the guy holding on and he is sitting on the left side of the car, but the next shot of him, he is holding on and now on the right side of the car.

Audio problem: In "Your Shoe's Untied" when Gary ties Spongebob's shoes he says "hoppin' clams where'd you learn to do that?" When he says "clams" his lips are out of sync.

Continuity: In "Squid's Day Off" when Mr. Krabs is washing the money that came out of the register, Spongebob taps him on the shoulder while the faucet is still on. When Mr. Krabs drops the dime into the sink, the water turns off without anyone touching the handles.

Continuity: In Squid's Day Off, when all of the coins go out of the cash register, you see 14 coins drop. When Squidward picks up the coins, there are only 12.

Continuity: When SpongeBob is sad because he can't tie his shoes, you see is night. When Gary ties his shoes, suddenly it becomes day.

Continuity: In "Your Shoes Untied", when he is in the Krusty Krab kitchen. In between shots when Sqidward keeps asking Spongebob to give him the Krabby Patty, the patties on the grill disappear and reappear between shots.

Continuity: In Your Shoe's Untied, when Spongebob takes the patty to Squidward, it's just a patty with lettuce, but in one shot, you can see cheese and pickles on it.

Continuity: Spongebob says, "We forgot to change the close sign to open," yet when Squidward walks out throughout the episode there is no sign at all.

Continuity: In "Squid's Day Off", sometimes Squidward's house door opens to the left, and sometimes opens to the right.

Continuity: In "Squid's Day Off" Squidward gets mad at Spongebob for ringing a bell over and over again. It shows the bell in the window to the left. Later, when it shows Squidward throwing the cash register onto the ordering desk, the bell is gone from the window. In the next shot of Spongebob, the bell is back in the window. Then, when Squidward shouts "No." the bell is gone again.

Continuity: At the beginning of "Squid's Day Off", There is a tiny bell painted gold sitting on the opening between the kitchen and restaurant. When the shot changes, the bell disappears, then reappears when the shot changes again.

Continuity: The broom that Patrick throws on the ground in Big Pink Loser disappears soon after.

Continuity: It seems to me that half the cards that Spongebob used for the card snail have disappeared when Patrick comes in.

Continuity: Bubble Buddy: When Spongebob brings his Bubble Buddy to the Krusty Krab, Squidward's restaurant hat is visible on his head. It is not seen when he looks into Bubble Buddy when he says, "That Bubble Buddy sure looks good."

Continuity: When Patrick in Spongebob clothing is first revealed (when the rock is raised), Patrick has no collar, yet in other shots the shirt has a collar.

Continuity: At the beginning of "Big Pink Loser", Patrick's rock is brown. When Spongebob and Patrick run with each other, out of the Krusty Krab, Spongebob runs into Patrick's rock, painted like Spongebob's pineapple house, yet when Patrick said "I'm going to defend my title" or something like that, the rock is brown. The rock can't possibly paint itself.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes", on Spongebob's second act when Sandy laughs about the bronze fish, she is between 2 people. When you see her again she isn't between anybody.

Continuity: In Squirrel Jokes, when Spongebob comes out for his second act, there's a back shot of a crowd, and there is one guy in the front right (from the back view) who is green. There is another front shot of the crowd and the guy completely disappears.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes", at the beginning of Spongebob's 2nd act when he's at his mirror backstage, a random object appears on the table.

Audio problem: In "Squirrel Jokes" when Sandy is in the Bargn'-Mart and she can't decide which deodorant she wants, a fish says, "Maybe she should get both." His mouth says something else.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes", SpongeBob wants to make a joke about a fork. Someone screams "Forks?" and SpongeBob becomes more nervous. After that, the fork disappears from where it was.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes", when Spongebob tells the joke about Squirrel in the second act she's at a table alone, but in the next wider shot there's a chair next to her.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes", right when he comes out of the curtains people put their hands up, but in a front view their hands are down.

Continuity: In "Squirrel Jokes" when Spongebob drops his mic on the stage and he goes behind the curtain, the mic disappears soon afterward.

Continuity: During Spongebob's act, he says to the audience, ".I'd like to give a special thanks to my friend Sandy over here" and the spotlight moves from Spongebob to Sandy. A few shots later, when Spongebob is talking to Sandy, the spotlight is suddenly no longer on Sandy. Then when Spongebob yells "Am I right?" to the audience, the spotlight is on him and as he turns to talk to Sandy again, the spotlight is altogether gone; it's not on either one of them.

Continuity: When Patrick is struggling to carry a heavy box, he drops it a number of times on Man-ray's foot. The camera cuts away, then back to Patrick and Man-ray, and the box has disappeared.

Continuity: In Squirrel Jokes, when Spongebob gives Sandy the flowers, the number of the flowers varies from 6 to 8 in different shots.

Continuity: Before he comes on his second act, there is a front shot of the crowd, you see a guy in the front with his hands up, but in the next shot, which is of his back, his hands are down.

Continuity: When everybody comes to Squidward's house to persuade him to write a letter, you see that all the paper and pencils and bottles on the ground disappear.

Continuity: In the morning when they all wonder where Santa is, and Spongebob keeps singing "Santa's coming tonight", once everybody walks away, Patrick appears right next to Spongebob.

Continuity: The picture that Squidward takes of Spongebob is different than what Spongebob is doing when he takes it.

Continuity: When Spongebob is trying to get Squidward to write a letter outside, at the first shot of Spongebob, he's standing straight on the wood step thing, but the next shot he's facing to the side.

Continuity: In the episode "Survival of the Idiots," when Sandy wakes up in Spring and goes outside, the first time we see Patrick and SpongBob standing side by side, SpongeBob is to our left, but later when SpongBob is trying to make up an excuse, they've swapped places.

Continuity: In Dumped, when Patrick is finished brushing his teeth, his toothbrush disappears.

Continuity: When the winter ends, there's a shot of Sandy's tree, and there's no window in it. When Sandy sees SpongeBob and Patrick, suddenly the tree has a window. A very noticeable mistake.

Continuity: When Squidward parks his bike next to the store, he goes inside, and when he goes outside, his bike is gone.

Audio problem: After SpongeBob causes a flood in his grandma's house, he cries because he is fed up of being an adult and his grandma tells him he doesn't have to be a baby to get her love. When SpongeBob replies, "I'm not?" not that in his reflection, his mouth does not move.

Continuity: In Squidville, Spongebob and Patrick are at the front gate and when Spongebob says, "But you just ate 2 orders of fried oyster skins," Spongebob's teeth disappear.

Continuity: In Squidville, when Spongebob and Patrick are using their reefblowers, Squidward changes from his dancing clothes into normal clothes in the next 2-4 shots when he is digging out of his house.

Continuity: Spongebob's watch appears and disappears between shots.

Continuity: When Squidward enters Squidville, he is looking for apartment number 304. When he is looking for his apartment, the numbers on the doors disappear and re-appear.

Continuity: When Spongebob stops crying, his grandma pulls a plug out of the floor to drain the water, but in a later shot through a window, the plug and hole are gone.

Other: When SpongeBob and Patrick had used the reef blower to take parts of Squidward's house off, they had taken off all parts but the two ear-like parts on the sides of the house. When Squidward demands that they put the parts back, the ear parts are no longer on the house, but are being blown back onto the house. This isn't possible because they were never taken off in the first place.

Continuity: When Patrick is asleep,after several scenes SpongeBob begins to cry,his Grand-mom calms him down and unplugs a plug,but Patrick is nowhere to be seen.

Continuity: When Spongebob writes an essay, at first he's in the middle seat on the front row, but after he gets his pen, he sits down at the desk to the very right.

Continuity: After SpongeBob sees the "Queen Jellyfish" (really Kevin the sea-cucumber and his friends) he drops his jellyfish call out of his mouth. When it cuts to a wide shot, the jellyfish caller is nowhere to be seen.

Continuity: In "No Free Rides", after SpongeBob puts his socks on the boat he goes in the boat and falls asleep, yet when he is being dragged by the boat he has his socks back on.

Continuity: In "No Free Rides", when Spongebob and Mrs. Puff are fighting in the car, they eventually go over a cliff. We see a view of a police car under them, next to the cliff and a billboard. We also see a shot of the police car facing a hill or two. The car flies out of nowhere onto the police car, from behind a hill, not off the cliff. The landscape in the scene changes in each shot.

Audio problem: In the beginning of "Shanghaied" during the Patchy the Pirate segment, Patchy says, "Roll the cartoon" but his mouth obviously says something else.

Continuity: When Gary almost goes into the mud and his head is hovering over it, in the far shot, he is just sitting there.

Continuity: In the beginning when SpongeBob pours the Kelpo cereal he pours it over his glass of orange juice, plate of toast, and his bowl. When he brushes the cereal away the plat, the glass, and the bowl all disappear.

Continuity: After Squidward comments about how the ship is dirty, he continues to climb up the anchor rope. Once he's out of the shot, the rope immediately changes color.

Continuity: When Spongebob is talking about treasure to Gary, behind him is a door. If you look closely you can see a TV in the room, but when Spongebob and Gary enter the TV is replaced by a door.

Continuity: When Gary goes through the pet door to run away from SpongeBob, when SpongeBob opens the door, there is no other side to the pet door.

Continuity: When Sandy and SpongeBob are climbing the mountain at the beginning of "Pressure," when Sandy pushes the rocks down at SpongeBob, there were two big ones holding them that vanish. You could say that she pushed them down too, but remember that they were different colours than the smaller ones.

Audio problem: In the beginning of "The Smoking Peanut", Spongebob takes his hat and spits it in the air like Clamu would do. Before he puts the hat in his mouth, he says, "a cannonball", the camera is on Spongebob and his mouth isn't saying that. He has his mouth open to put the hat in his mouth.

Continuity: In "Pressure" right before they all jump on land Squidward has 6 legs, but when he gets on land he has 7 legs.

Continuity: Patrick's popcorn disappears completely after he drops it.

Continuity: After SpongeBob confesses he threw the peanut at the oyster, a zoo keeper says, "wait, here is the real criminal", and he drags out Mr.Krabs. If you look at his pockets you can see food, candy, and other junk. Yet when the zoo keeper accidentally rips Mr.Krabs clothes off the pockets are completely empty.

Continuity: In The Smoking Peanut, when Spongebob and Patrick are running in to see the oyster, Patrick is on the right, but in the next shot, he's on the left.

Continuity: In The Smoking Peanut, after Spongebob sees Sandy he runs home. When he's trying to open the door if you look to the right the ground is completely flat and has nothing in it. Yet when Patrick comes, while he is saying, "I followed these footprints to this exact spot", there are footprints.

Continuity: When Spongebob has melted from stress and exhaustion, he is trying to talk and Sandy tells him to "hold that thought", and you can see the bike that they were riding, in the background. When she makes the fly fishing joke, the bike is gone, and there is a small plane. A few shots later the plane is gone as well.

Continuity: When his pants fall off when he's trying to hide, his pants are hooked to the plant by the brown part of his pants, but when Sandy comes looking and she sees his pants on the plant, they're hooked by the white part.

Continuity: When Spongebob and Patrick have run away, when they are fighting about the chocolate, Patrick has chocolate all over his mouth. Patrick says something like "I'll get there first" and starts running after Spongebob, and in the next shot his face is completely clean.

Continuity: When Spongebob falls off the sea needle, he lands on a . It shows his ripped off skin, then it shows his back with the piece missing, but the shapes are different.

Continuity: When SpongeBob is sneaking to Patrick's house, Squidwards house is missing.

Audio problem: At the end of "Band Geeks" when everyone is playing "Sweet Victory" at one point Mrs. Puff is shown playing the guitar. When this happens, you can see the others in the background not doing anything, even though their instruments are heard.

Continuity: When Squidward gets Spongebob back in Artist Unknown he says, "Let's start with the circle again," and makes a perfect circle. Spongebob circles about 4 or 5 times and only one circle comes out.

Continuity: In "Sailor Mouth" when Spongebob starts cussing in the Krusty Krab, a sailor and a pirate make a comment, but when everyone leaves the Krusty Krab, the sailor and pirate are nowhere to be seen.

Continuity: "In Artist Unknown", when Spongebob creates the statue, the right arm of it is tucked behind it's back and the left arm is bent with the hand resting on the chin. When the art collector jumps onto the head to remove the nose Squidward placed on it, the arms are switched so that the left arm is behind and the right hand is up on the chin. Then, when the art collector carries the statue out, the arms are back in their original positions.

Plot hole: As Spongebob is trying to let the Jellyfish out of their enclosure after discovering what Mr Krabs is doing to them, Krabs says, "That door will only open if I say..open". Then he suddenly realises what he's said and the door opens. How come the door didn't open when in his sentence he said open? The door didn't activate itself until he said open the second time.

Continuity: When Patrick rips up some grass, between shots the grass appears again.

Continuity: In "Just One Bite" Squidward tell Spongebob that he has never tasted a Krabby patty. However in a previous episode "Your Shoe's Untied", Spongebob fires numerous Krabby Patties at him as he keeps tripping over his shoelaces and Squidward eats them all.

Continuity: In "Just One Bite," when everyone says "The only people who don't like Krabby Patties have never tasted one," the kitchen doesn't have a back door. After Squidward says "I gotta have more," he looks in from the back door.

Continuity: When Flats moves out of the way we can see his pictures on the blackboard. The camera cuts away from him and back. The pictures are then taking up much more of the board than before (they go over the top of his head).

Continuity: In one bit, Spongebob handcuffs himself to Squidward. When Squidward takes the Krabby Patty, the handcuffs are gone.

Continuity: In "Sandy, Spongebob, and the Worm," the worm is about twice the height of Sandy and Spongebob. Near the end of the episode, the Worm charges off of the cliff and when he reaches the bottom, and smashes the town, the buildings are tiny compared to him and the sea creatures are microscopic.

Continuity: In Spongebob, Sandy and the Worm, when Sandy ties the worm's tongue in a knot and they run from the worm, the worm opens it's mouth but you don't see the tongue tied in a knot.

Continuity: When Spongebob shows Sandy the paper clip and a piece of string the string is very small. Yet later after Sandy says, "no silly, how about s for saving our skins", the string is a lot longer.

Continuity: In "Procrastination" when Spongebob is moving back and forth on his chair while writing his essay there is no pencil on the desk, but when he goes back to work on the essay there is.

Continuity: The essay is titled "What not to do at a stoplight", then later when that same essay is seen again now the title reads, "What not to do at a spotlight".

Continuity: When Janet and Marty (Patrick's fake parents) let go of Patrick's hands in the living room, Marty is on the left. But when Janet and himself pat Patrick, his hand is to the right of Patrick.

Continuity: Procrastination: When Gary eats all the food, he burps out his bowl. A ladder suddenly appears next to it.

Continuity: In the episode where Plankton turns Krabs and the rest of the Krusty Krab into babies, baby Krabs is hitting Plankton with the secret formula while they are on the floor of the Krusty Krab. Krabs crawls away and Plankton picks up the bottle and declares how easy it was. The next shot he is suddenly on top of one of the tables instead of the floor.

Continuity: In the scene where the guard pulls Mrs. Puff out of the rock yard, her hat is red, then blue, then red again throughout the cuts in the scene.

Continuity: Spongebob turns the "M" on Mermaid Man's belt upside down to "W" to set it to "Wombo" to re-size Squidward. A few moments later in the same scene, it is an "M" again, without him ever touching it.

Continuity: When SpongeBob zaps the pickles, he is standing next to the door. He instantly moves to the center of the room in a subsequent shot.

Continuity: At the start of MMIV, SpongeBob rips off a person's pocket to get a pen. He totally rips it off, but none of the pocket's material is visible later.

Continuity: In MMIV, there is no phone next to the door when SpongeBob shrinks the pickles. Later, Squidward calls on a phone.

Continuity: At the start, when Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy run out of the Krusty Krab there are cars everywhere. When SpongeBob runs to try and get Mermaid Man's autograph inside the Krusty Krab there are no cars visible.

Continuity: When mermaid man and barnacle boy are looking for the invisible boatmobile, there are boats all over, even in front of the windows, but when Spongebob is inside running towards the door there are now no boats visible out the window.

Character mistake: In 'Welcome to the Chum Bucket', Spongebob said he likes the grill facing the wall to the right. Plankton pushes it so that it is facing the wrong wall, the wall on the left.

Continuity: In 'Welcome to the Chum Bucket', the sky is constantly changing in an abnormal way. First, it is daylight when Plankton takes Spongebob into the Chum Bucket. When Spongebob starts singing, the sun is either coming up or going down. When Mr. Krabs starts singing, look through the hole in the wall and the sky looks to be about afternoon. When Spongebob and Mr. Krabs finish their song, it's nighttime.

Audio problem: The first time the man yells in "Frankendoodle", his mouth isn't in sync.

Continuity: At the end of "Welcome To The Chum Bucket", look at Spongebob's eyes.His eyebrows are more far apart than usual, also his eyeballs are uneven a bit.

Continuity: In the episode Welcome to the Chum Bucket, when Plankton is reading a story to SpongeBob, he is interrupted. When he looks up and sees SpongeBob asleep, Sponge doesn't have his Chum Bucket Bucket Helmet on. When Plankton decides not to hit SpongeBob with a mallet and wakes him up, Sponge has the helmet on again.

Continuity: Frankendoodle erases the door in SpongeBob's house (when they're fighting in the night). A few moments later you see the door is back.

Character mistake: In the beginning of "Born Again Krabs" Spongebob only has one bill in his hand, a 5 dollar bill. When he goes to his house and comes back, he says he found 68 cents. Therefore, he has 5 dollars and 68 cents. However, he has two dollar bills and a few pennies in his hand, which cannot be made into $5.68.

Continuity: In the scene where, Squidward accidentally squirts lemon juice in his eye it goes in his right eye but he squints with his left eye.

Continuity: In One Krabs Trash, Spongebob pays Mr. Krabs with what looks like two dollars, which should have been five, and when he comes back he has two dollars that doubles into four in the next shot of him leaving.
