Plot hole: Ep 3-21 Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot: When the invisible Spongebob and Patrick scare Sandy, they are using a sheet to appear as "ghosts". However, the form of the sheet reveals that they don't have their helmet bowls on. How could they survive in the treedome that time? They sounded fine, not dehydrated.

Continuity: During the entire show, numerous locations in Bikini bottom change place. Example:. in F.U.N, the chum bucket is in the middle of the town center, but in other stories it's across the road from the Krusty Krab.

Plot hole: 3-21: Spongebob Meets The Strangler / Pranks A Lot, in "Pranks A Lot", Patrick and SpongeBob scare Sandy. When Sandy runs, gets into her rocket and flies away. When she moved bubbles appeared meaning there's water in her tree house. There's no water in there in other episodes because she's a land animal and breathes air.

Continuity: Spongebob crashes through Squidward's house, and his bedroom is on the bottom floor. But in "Shanghied" after Squidward exits the fly of doom, you can see his bedroom is on the top floor, as it is in other episodes.

Continuity: In Club SpongeBob, when SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward are in the forest, Squidward asks the magic conch shell if he can have something to eat. Straight after he asks "Can't you say anything else but 'No'?", it has a close-up of the shell. But Squidward's arm appears to be yellow, like SpongeBob's.

Continuity: Spongebob turns the "M" on Mermaid Man's belt upside down to "W" to set it to "Wombo" to re-size Squidward. A few moments later in the same scene, it is an "M" again, without him ever touching it.

Continuity: In some episodes, SpongeBob's house is apparently an actual pineapple (e.g. "Home Sweet Pineapple"), but in other episodes, it is apparently made of wood like in "Opposite Day", when they tear down the house and rebuild it.

Continuity: In "Bubblestand" after Squidward blows the huge bubble, he tells Spongebob and Patrick that the ability to blow bubbles is in his genes. If you look at the position of the bubblestand sign, the sign is facing the direction Squidward is talking. The sign had always been facing the street, which means that Squidward was actually talking towards the street, when Spongebob and Patrick are actually to his right.

Continuity: In "No Weenies Allowed", the gatekeeper in front of the sailor club has a tattoo on his front with a heart and MOM on it. Sandy rips it out and places it back upside down. It now shows an upside down heart with WOW. In the next cuts between this and when Spongebob gets sent to the Weenie place, the tattoo suddenly has the heart downside up reading WOW, or upside down reading MOM. This is never possible because MOM was supposed to be with the downside up heart, not the upside down heart.

Plot hole: In "Just One Bite" Squidward tell Spongebob that he has never tasted a Krabby patty. However in a previous episode "Your Shoe's Untied", Spongebob fires numerous Krabby Patties at him as he keeps tripping over his shoelaces and Squidward eats them all. Submitted by Lummie

Continuity: When Spongebob first shows the Patrick the technique for bubble-blowing, there are two red corals in the background - one on his right and one on his left. Later, when he shows Squidward the technique the red coral on the left side of the screen disappears.

Continuity: When Squidward parks his bike next to the store, he goes inside, and when he goes outside, his bike is gone. Submitted by Grumpy Scot

Continuity: In the scene where Squidward complains to Spongebob about the construction noise from his stand, Squidward's porthole in the background is black, but from the interior there is a light on (Note: this also happens in every other shot of his house.

Continuity: In Plankton, when SpongeBob steps on Plankton, he steps on him with his left foot, except he pulls Plankton off of his right foot.

Continuity: After Squidward comments about how the ship is dirty, he continues to climb up the anchor rope. Once he's out of the shot, the rope immediately changes color.

Audio problem: In the scene where Spongebob is falling into Gary's dream, Spongebob is screaming for at least one second after he hits the ground.

Continuity: When SpongeBob asks Squidward to play his clarinet better,his night shirt is still on,but in the next scene it shows him again,but with his normal shirt.

Plot hole: As Spongebob is trying to let the Jellyfish out of their enclosure after discovering what Mr Krabs is doing to them, Krabs says, "That door will only open if I say..open". Then he suddenly realises what he's said and the door opens. How come the door didn't open when in his sentence he said open? The door didn't activate itself until he said open the second time. Continuity: In the scene where the guard pulls Mrs. Puff out of the rock yard, her hat is red, then blue, then red again throughout the cuts in the scene.

Continuity: In the episode "Survival of the Idiots," when Sandy wakes up in Spring and goes outside, the first time we see Patrick and SpongBob standing side by side, SpongeBob is to our left, but later when SpongBob is trying to make up an excuse, they've swapped places.
