Chocolate With Nuts / Mermaid Man And Barnacle Boy V (series 3)

In "Mermaid Man And Barnicle Boy V", the Krusty Krab has a dark side, but it is not there when there is a HUMUNGUS line at the Krusty Krab at the beginning of that episode. [It was there for that joke and that joke only. This occurs all the time in Spongebob.]

SpongeBob's House Party (aka Party Pooper Pants) (series 3)

After Spongebob is arrested, he comes back to his house in the morning. When he gets to his bedroom and sees Gary, he says 'Goodnight Gary', and turns off the light. [This is because SpongeBob had been up all night and was going to bed. When people go to bed even during the day they will say goodnight out of habit of saying the phrase when they go to sleep.]

Patchy's hook hand switches hands throughout the episode. [One of the running gags on the show is that both Patchy's eye patch and hook switch from right to left continuously.]

Wet Painters / Krusty Krab Training Video (series 3)

In "Wet Painters", we have NO evidence of Patrick drawing a crayon face and $ signs onto the painted dollar, yet Mr. Krabs notices the dollar and there they are. [This was probably either meant to be funny, or Patrick did it when Spongebob had his back turned when wondering what to do with the dollar before Mr. Krabs saw it.]

When it shows the Rusty Krab (the Krusty Krab when it was still a retirement home) it has the Krabby Patty poster on its window. [This seems to be more of a deliberate mistake. In the shot the narrator says "and with some minor changes", and all that is different is the senior citizens have moved despite expecting to see major changes being as it was a retirement home. The joke is he didnt really do anything to change it just got rid of the old people and in the next shot put up a red K in front of the Rusty.]

On "Wet Painters," SpongeBob and Patrick are trying to solve how to clean paint from Mr. Krabs' dollar. SpongeBob is trying to clean the paint off with a big baseball bat. Patrick is holding the dollar and SpongeBob is hitting him. Patrick is in many bandages. In the next shot, they go to a computer and Patrick's bandages have disappeared. [The bandages are a joke to show how much Patrick is going through just to get the paint off the dollar.]

The training video says that the Krusty Krab closes at 6:00. But in every other episode, it closes at 8:00. [The training video could have been outdated and cheapskate Krabs wouldn't have wanted to make a new one.]

Krab Borg / Rock-a-Bye Bivalve (series 3)

In "Rock-A-Bye Bivalve" when Patrick says "Just call me daddy!" he raises his arms and he has a lot of armpit hair, but when he is watching T.V and raising his arms there is no armpit hair. [Patrick's excess armpit hair was done for the purpose of that joke. Many times in Spongebob, they use something for a joke and never use it again.]

The Algae's Always Greener / Sponge Guard On Duty (series 3)

When Spongebob is scared to save Patrick, he absorbs water. Later when he drowning, why didn't he absorb the water? He is a sponge. [Spongebob was pretty freaked out when he was drowning so its likely he didn't think about this option. The other problem with trying to absorb water was how tough it was for Spongebob to do it the first time. He couldn't move, he had to dump the water right back into the lake, there was so much water and by accident he sucked Patrick up too. Even if he wanted to try again it may not have been a viable option.]

When Spongebob absorbs the water to save Patrick, and then throws it, you see that the lake has a large bottom. So, Patrick really could drown there. But later Larry arrives, and as he is walking in the lake, you see that the bottom of the lake is almost nothing. [This was a joke that the animators made. They were supposed to be drowning in what seemed like deep water, until Larry just casually walked in and got them.]

No Weenies Allowed / Squilliam Returns (series 3)

In "Squilliam Returns", when Squidward gives up on everyone and runs out of the Krusty Krab, he runs into Squilliam. If you look at the shown window of the KK, it is the ordinary window with the ropes on it. But when they walk in, wallpaper covers all of the windows. I know that Spongebob converted the restaurant from crappy to fancy very quick, but I think we would've seen him placing wallpaper on the windows. [Not showing the wallpaper keeps Squidward's reaction as shocked as Squilliam which is the joke in the scene. Added to this if the wallpaper was shown coming down Squilliam might have suspected that Squidward was trying to fool him.]

When Patrick punches Spongebob, he appears to have a black eye. It dissapears immediately after he smiles. [All of the characters in the show get hurt at one time or another, and then the injuries immediately disappear. It's one of the main, ongoing sight gags of the entire show, and it's done entirely on purpose.]

In "Squilliam Returns," Spongebob is confused that a waiter goes to tables and takes orders. However, in some episodes earlier in the show, Spongebob waits tables. [Spongebob has also been shown to be none too bright...plus, the show by its nature has little or no continuity between episodes.]

How did Spongebob and Sandy get all of their Karate Gear in either a small bag or out of nowhere? [IT'S A CARTOON! Some suspension of disbelief is expected. It's common in cartoon for characters to pull a ridiculous number of items out of a small bag, or even a pocket.]

In "Squilliam Returns", when Spongebob erases everything from his mind, (except fine dining and breathing) his brain is shown shredding papers. When his brain shreds memory, one paper shredded is entitled "Spice Garden Tips". Later when Squilliam arrives, Spongebob serves him the "Krabby Newburg" which he says, "contains herbs from our garden". But if Spongebob forgot his "Spice Garden Tips", he would not be able to prepare that dish. [While I have to applaud the attention to detail, preparing food with seasonings from an existing garden would not require tips on how to grow one.]

As Seen on TV / Can You Spare a Dime? (series 3)

When Spongebob is making the krabby patties, the croud shout, "Onions! Cheese!" but Spongebob never put any cheese in the krabby patties. [The crowd is just shouting out what they want on their burgers. Just a character mistake on Spongebob perhaps.]

In the Krusty Krab commercial in "As Seen On T.V", the secret formula for the Krabby Patty forgets cheese from the recipe. [Mr. Krabs says, "Then we add undersea veggies and cheese". He doesn't forget it.]

Nasty Patty / The Idiot Box (series 3)

In Idiot Box, when Spongebob takes out the TV at the start, he's between his and Squidward's houses. He throws it across the road, and it lands in the trash can, but it's right in front of his house. [He throws it to his left side, which would land it in front of the house.]

When the health inspector hits his head on the table his hat falls off. Later when he's in the hole his hat is back on. [Do we really know how much time passed between these shots? Spongebob or Mr. Krabs could easily have put the hat back on the health inspector. Maybe they did it so there wouldn't be any evidence.]
