Other: The outside shots show that the house is in the middle of a row of houses, connected to other houses on both sides. But in the living room, behind the stairs, is a window looking outside. There couldn't possibly be a window there as that is where the house shares a wall with the house next door.
Factual error: In season 2 episode "Denise's Decision", Cliff says he went to Hillman college because his wife Claire was going to go there. But in the season 4 episode of "The Prom", Claire and Cliff both state that Cliff was away at Hillman studying for finals, during Claire's prom. That would mean that Cliff would have attended Hillman first, and that him going to be with Claire would be false.
Deliberate "mistake": In the very first episode, the kids are fighting and arguing all throughout the house. Claire then asks Cliff, "Why did we have 4 kids?", referring to Denise, Theo, Rudy, and Vanessa. In all of the following episodes, they actually have 5 kids. I guess they decided to add Sandra (the oldest Huxtable) later down the road.
Audio problem: In the scene where Cliff takes the ball from Theo and places it on the counter, it is clear that the ball will roll off the counter. However, we never hear the ball actually fall off the counter. But, when the camera turns to Theo and he says, "Door two", then the camera turns back to Cliff, the ball is nowhere to be found on the counter.
Other: During the scene where the twin sisters were singing their song, Theo was asked by Cliff to go to Peter's house and ask his mother if he could stay. Theo left immediately after this. But if you look closely while the twins are singing, you'll see Theo's arm in the scene. When the twins finish performing, they sit down. After this, you see Theo coming through the door after having just gone to Peter's house.
Factual error: When Clair and Denise are watching the Bears vs. the Giants game, they comment on how cute player number 16 is. In 1985, nobody wore 16 for either the Bears or the Giants. Former Bears' placekicker Bob Thomas wore it from 1975 to 1984 until he retired. 16 wasn't worn again by the Bears until Tim Lashar, another kicker, wore it in 1987. Also, 16 had long since been retired by the Giants. It was last worn by Frank Gifford.
