Continuity: In the episode where Katy, Carl and Todd go to see Badly Drawn Boy in concert, they go to the Rovers after the concert has finished. It's last orders so it must be 11pm. However, in the next scene in Martin's flat (when he is wondering where Katy has got to) the clock on his wall says 8 o'clock.

Trivia
In the episode where Maria gets back together with Nick and Candica slaps her, the slap was real, they did it three times to make it look real. See more...
Across whole show
Continuity: In the programme shown on 11 June 2007, David Platt takes his exam and then sets fire to his exam paper. In the programme on 22 August 2007, he collects his result and gets an A. He could not possibly have got an A, as he set fire to his paper.
Continuity: The night before Steve and Karen's wedding after Steve decides to let his mum invite Ken and Deidre, she walks out the front door, straight past the Barlows. Then, after they finish their dialogue about Tracy, she comes out of the toilet. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
Continuity: In a recent episode, the Corner shop must have been unlocked all night. Sunita arrived first, then the owner, Dev. Sunita didn't unlock the door before she went in and the only other employee there is Todd, who left home a few scenes later.
Continuity: Martin's car was parked outside on the episode first broadcast on 15/12/03. It wasn't used at all in the day, but at night when he came to use it, it had moved position outside his house.
Continuity: When Sarah Louise Platt was born it was January 28th, but in 2003, her birthday was celebrated (and was supposed to be) on Sunday 3rd February, the fourth show after her original birth date. Having Sarah's birthday six days after her 'original' birthday can't be compensated for even if the day she was born was wrong [because of broadcast date], as there are always at least 2 episodes ever six days.
Continuity: In the episode after Katie kills Tommy, the expression on Tommy's face keeps changing throughout the episode.
Continuity: Episodes 6354 and 6355. When Sally Webster is frantically searching for her daughter Rosie, who is staying at the squat with Craig, between shots Sally's hair changes several times, but more obvious is that in some shots she has a very croaky throat, and in other shots she has no throat problem at all. These scenes were all supposed to be almost in real-time, and certainly in the course of one night.
Continuity: During the second episode shown on April 12th, with Todd and company in the gay bar with Karl, we see Sarah and Katie talking with Todd and Karl in the background talking intensely. In the next shot they are really relaxed, and not even speaking or looking at each other.
Revealing: In a recent episode, Roger is shown carrying a box with a 42" plasma TV into Janice's flat. Plasma TVs are very heavy, so it's most likely the box that Roger was carrying was empty.
Revealing: In a recent episode (April 08), Lloyd referred to Steve as Simon during a conversation in the Rovers. Simon happens to be Steve's real name. Oops.
Other: On the episode dating 22/10/09, when Tony receives a text from Carla it comes up as "unknown number," but when she calls him, it comes up as "Carla" and not as "unknown number".
Revealing: In the 5th November episode when Sophie takes Audrey's fur hat off Beth and throws it in the fire, there are flames licking the hat, yet the hat itself doesn't catch fire, because when Keith retrieves it, it is unburnt. So the hat must either be made of asbestos or the flames are computer generated, not real.
Continuity: In the episode, 22/11/2004, (where Dev's corner shops are blown up by Maya) Dev drives his Saab to the shop which is about to be blown up, he parks his Saab directly outside the shop. Also parked directly outside the shop is another car. As the shop blows up, the camera changes angle to show the blast and Dev's car has somehow disappeared, just leaving the other car in shot.
Plot hole: Given that Ken and Dierdre had to re-mortgage the house in order to pay for Tracey's legal fees, and their joint income isn't exactly huge, how are they not out on the street by now?
Continuity: In the 4/11/07 episode, David asks Amber to make him a cup of tea. She makes it in about 15 seconds.
Revealing: In the 11/04/07 episode when Jason is hugging his baby and talking to his mum, it is extremely obvious that in some shots the baby is a rigid plastic dummy.
Visible crew/equipment: In the 18/11/07 episode, Claire and Sally are talking in the cafe. About half way into the conversation, the shadow of a boom mic can be seen above Sally's head.
