Trivia
The reason that there is no glass in the sliding back door, and the reason for a similar mistake in the popular sixties show Bewitched is that real glass is generally not used in windows in movies and TV shows, because the glare drives the camera crew nuts. See more...
The Brady Bunch (1969) - 58 mistakes in entire show
These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
Across whole show
Revealing: The wall behind Mr. Brady's desk at work is the exact same wall in the Brady's living room.
Revealing: I can't quite remember what the episode was, but one of the times that Sam comes over to visit Mr. Brady, he comes in through the back sliding "glass" door. There is no glass in the door. You can tell this because when Sam closes the door, to do so, he puts his hand through the areas where glass would be.
The Honeymoon (season 1, episode 1)
Plot hole: Tiger escapes from Mike's car by pawing on a power-window lever that doesn't even exist. In fact, a manual window crank can be seen in the same shot.
Katchoo (season 1, episode 5)
Continuity: The shadow (supposedly of the window frame) on the headboard of Jan's bed changes from one shot to the next.
Kitty Karry-All is Missing (season 1, episode 7)
Continuity: As Bobby empties his pockets in search of his kazoo, he piles the contents on a nearby table. In a long shot, several of the toys (most noticeably a green plastic paddle) disappear, only to reappear when Cindy is leaving the room.
A-Camping We Will Go (season 1, episode 8)
Continuity: The tents are small from the outside, but much larger when seen from the inside.
Is There a Doctor in the House? (season 1, episode 13)
Audio problem: When Mike walks into the kitchen and sees the chart with the list of kids on it and what ailments they've had, he comments on one of the ailments, saying "None of the kids have had distemper." However, if you watch his mouth, he appears to have originally said "rabies."
54-40 and Fight (season 1, episode 15)
Other: The scene where Alice is giving Tiger a bath was the same one used in "Katchoo Katchoo", albeit with some audio dubbing thrown in, like when Alice complains about the floor getting wet.
Other: A final contest is given for control of "green stamps" with all the kids building a "House of Cards." Whomever causes the cards to fall will be the losers. All is going well until Tiger comes in and knocks into Peter and causes him bump the table and knock over the cards. If you watch closely at the end of the scene, when all the dialog is finished, you can see Mike trying to knock down a few remaining cards. However they keep popping up. Probably due to the fact that the cards were glued together to make it easier for the kids to build upon.
Continuity: When the kids are building the card castle to see who would get to choose what they get with the stamps, Jan is putting a card on, in one shot her hair is up in a ponytail then in the other shot her hair is down. This happens back and forth when the shots change.
The Undergraduate (season 1, episode 17)
Continuity: The amount of cookies in the cookie jar Bobby is holding increases from one shot to the next.
Tiger, Tiger! (season 1, episode 18)
Continuity: In a close-up of Mike's hands as he undoes his seat belt, he isn't wearing his wedding ring but he is in subsequent shots.
The Big Sprain (season 1, episode 19)
Continuity: The amount and position of the soapsuds on Jan's shirt changes from shot to shot.
The Hero (season 1, episode 21)
Continuity: The bottles of pop on the kitchen table keep changing position from shot to shot.
Visible crew/equipment: When the shelf falls in the store, you can see the crew member that pulls on a rope, triggering the collapse of the shelving unit, it was not the girl's weight that made it tip.
Lost Locket, Found Locket (season 1, episode 25)
Continuity: Jan puts her bathrobe on, flipping all of her hair behind her back. But in the next shot, some of her hair is over her left shoulder.
Call Me Irresponsible (season 2, episode 6)
Continuity: The horse figurine and telephone on the table next to Greg are not in the same positions from shot to shot.
The Treasure of Sierra Avenue (season 2, episode 7)
Revealing: The set lights are reflected in Greg's beach ball in what is supposed to be an outdoor scene.
A Fistful of Reasons (season 2, episode 8)
Continuity: Cindy's notebooks keep changing in number and color during Peter's confrontation with Buddy.
