Other: Season 9, episode 1 "Saviour": When Lois goes back to the train car she meets up with Davis Bloom. After learning she has been missing for three weeks she asks what day it is and he replies it's Friday the 25th. Lois also picks up a newspaper and the date reads Friday the 25th. The train accident happened the night before, the date should read Thursday the 24th.
Pilot (season 1, episode 1)
Continuity: Clark's hands on the hood of Jeremy's truck shift in different shots from spread wide to in front of him and close together.
Continuity: The Porsche that strikes Clark has no sign of impact when it goes over the side of the bridge.
Visible crew/equipment: When Clark finds Lex in the Luthor mansion, they walk down the hall and into a new room. As they enter, as Lex is saying "So, hows the new ride?" if you look in the bottom left of the screen you can see a white tape marker on the floor, where Lex will walk over to subsequently.
Continuity: When Jonathan lectures Clark about the danger of accepting gifts from Luthers, the key he twirls is a GM truck key, not a Ford truck key.
Factual error: When Lex crashes his car lands on its roof, yet in the space of a few seconds it has sunk straight to the bottom, and turned the right way up. Cars don't sink that quickly.
Continuity: Lionel calls his company Lexcorp, however in subsequent episodes it is renamed to LuthorCorp.
Visible crew/equipment: When Lex spins up to Luthor Corp in his car, as the camera pans over the car to follow him, the cameraman is reflected in the window as he pans over.
Plot hole: After Chloe shows Clark the Wall of Weird, Clark is confronted by Whitney outside. Whitney is wearing Lana's meteor rock (kryptonite) necklace but Clark actually feels no effects until he ends up opening Whitney's shirt.
Continuity: In the truck right before the parade passes them by, Jonathan Kent kisses his wife. Cut to a different angle but this time his left hand is on her cheek. It wasn't there in the prior angle.
Continuity: The hole in the guard rail changes size and shape between the shot of Lex driving off it and another looking up at it from below.
Continuity: After the meteor shower, the bit of hair that Mr. Luthor finds in the cornfield changes in his hands from stretched straight to curled.
Continuity: Closeups and wide shots on the Wall of Weird show different things next to each other. Watch the objects surrounding the finger article and the Wall of Fire article in the wide shot on Chloe, then look again at the closeups.
Continuity: When Lex is about to hit Clark with his car, Clark alternates between facing the car and facing the bridge.
Deliberate "mistake": Clark's CPR form is terrible. When he performs emergency breaths on Lex, Lex's chest doesn't rise and fall, indicating that he's not actually breathing much air in. He doesn't bother to measure for the proper location for chest compressions, a very important step that is the difference between proper CPR and simply cracking ribs. As he performs compressions, he is not chanting the rhythm (one-and-two-and-three) and his elbows are bent. All of these were altered for dramatic reasons or the purpose of safety, but the sloppy technique probably would have killed Lex.
Audio problem: When Mr. Luthor was buying the corn field from the farmer he says: 'Now, where do I sign?' The farmer replies: 'Right here Mr. Luthor' and points at the contract. Even though we can only see a profile shot of the farmer as he says these words it is pretty obvious that his mouth isn't moving.
Continuity: The meteors are shown traveling together in space at the beginning, but the smoke trail from the first meteorite runs perpendicular to the flight of the next one. They should be falling along roughly the same flight corridor, as all the other meteorites do.
Metamorphosis (season 1, episode 2)
Continuity: After Greg hits Clark with the pipe in the foundry, Clark's hands are very dirty. In the closeup on Clark's hand immediately after he lands, the hand is clean to show the effects of the Kryptonite.
Continuity: Despite the fact that Clark and Jonathan are looking in the rafters above them for Greg, their flashlights stay relatively level.
Continuity: While researching Greg with Chloe, Clark changes from one hand on the computer mouse to arms crossed and back.
Continuity: Clark's hair goes from long to short and back to long as Clark, Pete and Chloe talk about Greg's tree fort.
Hothead (season 1, episode 3)
Continuity: As Lex is chalking his pool stick while talking to Dominic about cutting 20% of the workforce at the LutherCorp Smallville plant, there is a red snooker ball on the wall rack missing from the second row. When Lex walks over to the other end of the pool table, the camera shot changes back to Dominic, now there is a ball missing from the top row, which was not missing before.
Continuity: While Clark and Jonathan are talking about Clark being on the football team, Jonathan puts his hands on Clark's shoulders. Between shots, the position of Jonathan's hands on Clark's shoulders repeatedly changes.
Continuity: After Clark catches the football the was aimed at Chloe, for taking pictures of the team, she has one hand on her camera, but in the next shot, both hands are on the camera.
Plot hole: Why does the principal leave so calmly when Coach Walt starts a fire in his office? He doesn't even bother to call 911, he just walks out to his car and tries to drive away.
Deliberate "mistake": The episode begins with a football game in pouring rain. After the winning goal is scored, the crowd shots show the cheerleaders' hair wet and their uniforms completely dry.
Continuity: Near the beginning, Clark, Chloe, and Pete walk past Lana and Whitney. In the following exchange between Lana and Whitney, two cheerleaders suddenly appear behind them. They're gone again as Lana walks away.
Continuity: During Clark and Pete's exchange after the coach invites Clark onto the team, Pete's hand zips from at his side to raised to his shoulder in an angle change.
X-Ray (season 1, episode 4)
Continuity: While climbing ropes in the gym, Clark and Pete switch sides relative to each other. First Clark is on Pete's left, then he is suddenly on Pete's right.
Revealing: While Lana is listening to her Mother's graduation speech she reaches up to her neck for her meteor rock necklace. Her hands do not reach far enough back to unclasp the necklace yet the necklace comes off anyway.
Factual error: As Tina/Clark tries to run over Martha, there is a shot of Tina/Clark up close in the truck, and the gear shift is still in park.
Continuity: Tina's grip on Lana's necklace changes as she stands over Lana's body.
Continuity: When "Lex" threatens the bank manager, he points the gun at his face, but the next shot on the manager shows the gun at his throat.
Visible crew/equipment: After Martha finds the money in the antique shop she tells the other woman she needs to be more careful, as they are walking in the room there is s boom mike shadow moving.
Cool (season 1, episode 5)
Audio problem: Sean drops frozen Jenna and she shatters. He then manages to casually walk out of the room over her without crunching any of the ice.
Continuity: At the party, Chloe's hands jump from extended to the fire to clutched in front of her as Sean approaches.
Audio problem: When Sean flags down Whitney's truck, we hear his brakes squeal as he slams on the pedal. A few quick cuts later we see him do the same thing, apparently for the first time.
Plot hole: Chloe writes her phone number on Sean's hand. It disappears when we see him struggling against the ice of the lake, then reappears in the scene where he is calling old girlfriends. And how exactly would pen ink survive several hours submerged in water and then another eight hours of normal activity without becoming blurred?
Continuity: When Sean emerges from the lake and goes to the campfire, his clothes are completely dry despite the fact that he was totally underwater for hours.
Continuity: As Sean sucks electricity at the power station, his arms are bent in the first shot and fully extended in the next.
Audio problem: While Sean and Whitney are tossing the football at the lake edge, at one point we hear Whitney catch the ball offscreen while the camera is on Sean. The camera then cuts back to Whitney and he catches the ball on screen.
Continuity: When Sean is in the nurses office, having his temperature taken, the light on his left side is on. After the nurse wants to retake the temperature the light is now off.
Hourglass (season 1, episode 6)
Continuity: When Henry falls into the pond, the first time, there are several small pylons connected by a chain when the camera is on the walkway. When the camera is in the water, showing Henry as he hits the water, neither the pylons or the chain is visible. There is just an open space where the chair falls over.
Continuity: As Harry goes into the pond the second time the pylons are connected now with yellow crime scene tape when the camera is out over the water looking at Harry on the walkway. As the camera is in the water, watching Harry fall in, the pylons are gone, even though they should be in the shot, and are connected by a wire instead of crime scene tape.
Continuity: In the closeup when Zoe is introduced, the button just above her apron is buttoned. In the next shot of her walking through the cafe, it is unbuttoned.
Plot hole: Chloe hands Clark a newspaper with the list of jury members from Harry Volk's trial. As he reads the list he says "Rudolph Gage, Rita Garfield". After Clark realizes that his grandfather, Hiram Kent, is on the jury he hands the paper to Lana. A shot of the newspaper has the jury members listed as Randolph Gage, and Eve Garfield. Even young Harry calls her Eve when confronting Zoe at The Beanery.
Craving (season 1, episode 7)
Continuity: As Chloe enters Clark's house, Clark is putting a blue shirt on. When she first starts to talk to Clark, with the camera on Clark's right, he is buttoning the top button. When the shot switches to behind Chloe, the upper part of his shirt is open.
Continuity: When Jodie hits the deer her vehicle spins out. As it is spinning the headlights are not projecting any kind of visible beam. After the car stops, and she is facing the deer she hit, the headlight is now projecting a very bright beam to illuminate the deer on the road.
Visible crew/equipment: When Clark and Chloe begin their investigation on the deer, when Clark pulls the blinds, you can see the shadow of the crew equipment on the left side of the blinds.
Jitters (season 1, episode 8)
Audio problem: Clark listens to his father and Earl talking in the hospital through the visitor window. The sound is the same volume and quality as when Earl was using the microphone, which he is not using now. Even if Clark used super-hearing to eavesdrop, it wouldn't sound the same as the microphone.
Continuity: While Earl is in the hospital bed, his grip on the microphone to the waiting room changes from up to down and back.
Revealing: In the early scene with the baby, there are a few overhead shots of the parents and child. It is clear that in these shots a fake baby was used - he is completely motionless, even though he was moving arms and legs before and after and is crying.
Audio problem: When Pete is stammering to the Kents about Clark returning to the plant, his lips don't match the sound, especially toward the end.
Audio problem: After Clark's parents come home, after their anniversary dinner, Jonathan and Clark go to see Earl in the hospital. As the Doctor says "It looks like he's got some sort of mineral poisoning, but its not from any mineral I've seen before." For the first few words of that line her mouth does not match up to what is being said but the dialogue, and her mouth slowly come together at the end of the line.
Audio problem: After he breaks the methane valve, Earl runs to the security camera and whispers, "You see what you made me do?" His whisper is heard at the proper volume by the Luthors watching the camera, but the speakerphone is on the desk ten feet behind Earl, making this impossible. Most surveillance cameras don't have microphones.
Continuity: After Clark cleans up the house, the amount and kinds of fruit in the basket on the table changes between the pan shot to his parents and the shot of the three of them at the table.
Continuity: For several shots during the early scene with the baby in the crib, the blanket changes back and forth from tucked up to the chin, up to the shoulders, and up to the stomach in different angles.
Revealing: At the command center outside Martha is watching a monitor with the hostages on it and she asks "Where's Clark?". The next shot is one of Clark running down a hallway, inside the plant, using his super-speed. As he is running the red lights along the ceiling are revolving faster than they normally do and return to normal once Clark stops using super-speed.
Continuity: At the beginning, as the mother tucks the blanket up to the child's neck, she changes from both hands on the infant to one hand on the crib.
Rogue (season 1, episode 9)
Revealing: The Smallville Torch that Clark looks at online is the exact same one last seen by Lex two episodes ago in "Craving." This wouldn't be a problem, but Clark remarks that this Torch is "another scathing editorial," indicating that it is new, and Principal Kwan complains that parents have been calling all morning, which means that this issue of the Torch was published either this day or the day before. Prop department must have been saving money.
Revealing: Clark hoists some heavy equipment in the barn early in the episode. The chain he is pulling on has a good deal of slack in it, meaning that the load is being lifted by something other than it.
Revealing: In "Rogue," just after Jonathan has been arrested, Clark walks into the house and punches a wooden beam. If you look closely, you can see the crack in it where it has already been broken.
Continuity: At the coffee shop when he intercepts Lex, Phelan suddenly acquires a cup of coffee from nowhere.
Shimmer (season 1, episode 10)
Revealing: Once Victoria has drawn her bath, we see her get in, and then lean back into the water. However she is already wet on her chest and her hair is damp already. This is probably due due to previous takes of the same scene.
Plot hole: Seth is using a cream made of green (i.e., kryptonite) roses to make himself invisible. At the beginning of the episode, Clark is in the locker room and feels ill from the kryptonite rose cream that Seth is wearing as he beats up the kid who picked on Amy. For the rest of the episode Clark does not feel the effects even though Seth is close enough to him at least two other times in the show. Once after Seth trashes Victoria's room and runs past Lex and Clark and again when Seth tries to drown Victoria in the tub.
Continuity: At the beginning, when Seth picks up the barbell to beat Troy with, Troy is at the end of the locker room with the showers. As Pete and Clark show up, Troy is at the other end of the locker room.
Continuity: When Amy is introduced, she is writing about two lines down from the top of the page in her journal. After Troy snatches it, the writing runs about halfway down the page.
Continuity: When Clark and Lana almost kiss, shots on him show him turning to his left, but shots on her show him turning to his right.
Continuity: As Victoria is being drowned in the bathtub, she appears very deep in underwater shots and only a few inches down in overhead shots.
Continuity: At the coffee shop when Chloe volunteers for blood donation, there is a shot on Clark as Lana walks away where we see Chloe's head turn. When the camera comes back to her she is sitting exactly as before.
Continuity: As Clark first walks up to Whitney in study hall, Clark's arm changes from bent to straight at his side.
Continuity: When Jonathan is sitting down, before he tells Clark that he can't always be honest, in the shot from the other side of the table Jonathan is holding a book in his right hand as he is sitting down. When the shot switches to Clark's right, Jonathan is still starting to sit but now the book is in his left hand.
Continuity: After Clark and Chloe make their plans for investigating the invisible person, Clark turns away to leave twice: once with the camera on him and once with the camera on Chloe.
Hug (season 1, episode 11)
Continuity: After Chloe comes out of Kyle's command, a shot on Clark shows her turning toward him, but the next shot shows that she hasn't moved.
Audio problem: As Kyle is using his power to have Chloe "show her true feelings" to Clark, Kyle says "and you want him". If you watch his lips, his mouth is out of sync.
Continuity: When Clark pushes Kyle (after he's about to hit Whitney) he goes flying into his trailer door and we can see a large dent. In later scenes (when Clark & Chloe visit Kyle at his trailer home) the door has no dent.
Continuity: When Kyle goes to confront Rickman about coming to Smallville, Kyle is talking about how Rickman agreed not to do anything in Smallville and Kyle is pointing with his left hand. When the shot switches he is now pointing with his right.
Continuity: While Chloe and Clark are on the horses, and Chloe is talking about the surveyors from Rickman Industries, when the shot is on Chloe's side, Clark is holding his reins in his right hand which is resting on top of his left. When the shot switches to Clark's side, as Chloe continues the story, and now Clark's right hand is under his left.
Continuity: When Kyle first confronts Rickman in his office and challenges him to a handshake, Rickman looks away. In the next shot on Kyle, Rickman is looking at him again.

Leech (season 1, episode 12)
Continuity: When Clark is in hospital after being thrown to land on the roof of the car his mum is helping him put a shirt on. He puts it over his right shoulder and the shot changes, his arm is all of a sudden in the sleeve.
Kinetic (season 1, episode 13)
Revealing: If you watch Clark splitting wood in slow-mo, the wood actually splits before he touches it.
Audio problem: When the thief with one arm tells his other two buddies to "check this out" the shot switches to the right side of him. In that shot you can see this guy say "check this out" again.
Plot hole: Chloe discovers that the thieves are using kryptonite tattoos to accelerate their metabolism to hyperspeed, allowing them to reach through the space between atoms in solid objects. That's fine, but this acceleration wouldn't be consciously controlled. The thieves might be able to move through any solid objects, but they certainly wouldn't be able to pick anything up or wear clothes just because they wanted to. The metabolism shift would only affect their living cells, not adjacent nonliving ones.
Continuity: After the encounter in the meat locker, Lex and Clark talk outside Fordman's store. As Lex turns to leave there is a truck driving down the street in Clark's direction. When the camera switches to Clark, the truck, which should be in this shot going behind Clark, is nowhere to be seen.
Zero (season 1, episode 14)
Continuity: The lime slices on the side of Lex's and Amanda's drinks, in Club Zero, change position between shots.
Audio problem: The CD playing in Lex's car is heard at exactly the same volume and quality from outside the car when Lex has his windows up and when he rolls one down.
Continuity: As Martha and Clark are talking about the LuthorCorp chemicals, Martha takes her hand off her hip for several lines. When the camera switches back to a wide shot, her hand switches back too.
Continuity: After the package is delivered and Clark and Lana are talking, Lex walks over and promises to open the Talon on time. Lana skips from looking up at him to looking down for her line.
Nicodemus (season 1, episode 15)
Continuity: When Chloe is first asking Pete and Clark the questions for her poll you can see that the top page on her clipboard is yellow. Then she shows it to Lana and the camera gives you a nice big shot of the front piece of paper and it is white. When Chloe says "its unleashing the inner Lana." the front of the clipboard is shown again and now the paper is yellow.
Revealing: When Lana throws a glass bottle at Lex (in the Talon) it smashes against the wall. But if you look closely Lana drops the bottle just before she throws it.
Continuity: When Lana and Clark are sitting on the Windmill and the camera is facing them close up you can see the shadow of the windmill moving in the wind but when the camera zooms out the windmill is not moving at all.
Continuity: While Lana is climbing the windmill, just before she stops a shot from below shows her right foot right above her left foot. The camera switches to above her and suddenly her left foot is a full rung above her right foot.
Continuity: Fordman's, the store Whitney is helping his father run, is directly across the street from The Talon. The store has a big blue sign out front with "Fordman's" written in large white letters. After Lana steals Lex's car, she drives down the street and the store is nowhere to be seen on the other side of the street.
Continuity: When Chloe puts the photo of Dr. Hamilton on his desk she puts it on a book next to his arm. After the shot changes he is shown picking up the photo but now it is half resting on his arm.
Continuity: As Pete demands Chloe's keys he raises the gun on her. As he does you can hear the sound of the hammer being pulled back on the revolver. In the shot of the gun, as Chloe gives him the keys, the hammer is not pulled back.
Continuity: When Lana and Clark are sitting on top of the windmill, Clark's jacket changes from opened to closed to opened.
Continuity: When Jonathan shoots Clark with the shotgun, in the slow motion shot of Clark as he first starts to take the hit there is nothing coming out of the gun or on his chest. When the shot moves to Clark's left he now has red hot shot fragments on his chest.
Continuity: After Lex tells Martha that he'll do whatever he can to help Jonathan, she goes into Jonathan's hospital room. As she goes through the door, the blinds next to the door are closed. When the shot switches to show Clark standing at the other window, the blinds next to the door are open. Then, as Lex goes over to Clark, the blinds next to the door are closed again.
Stray (season 1, episode 16)
Continuity: Right after Ryan makes breakfast for the Kents, he leans on a chair and sets the orange juice jug down twice.
Reaper (season 1, episode 17)
Continuity: When Tyler turns Mrs. Sykes into ash she is laying down with her head on a pillow. This is where the dust collects. As Chloe and Clark check out what happened, the ash on the bed now shows that her head was on the bed and not the pillow as it was before.
Revealing: As Tyler slides across the floor, after Clark knocks him out of Whitney's father's room, he hits the camera. When he does the camera has a noticeable shake to it because of it.

Continuity: As Chloe hurries to put Justin's art book back before Justin comes in there is a piece of white paper sticking out of the top and bottom, based on the way she put it back, of the folder. When Justin sees the folder has been moved there are no papers sticking out.
Continuity: When Clark goes to Kwan's house the set of pathway lights on the left, the side where Justin pulled only one out, is gone. Earlier the lights ran down both sides of the driveway.
Continuity: As Justin turns the spike end of the pathway light towards Principal Kwan, in the close up, the light is at a height that is just lined up with the light in front of it. After the shot change, the shot simply zooms out to include Justin on the right side of the screen, the light is now several feet higher than it was before.
Plot hole: Justin's power is telekinesis, which he uses to attack the doctor at the beginning of the episode. He shows that he is targeting the doctor's hands by blacking them out on the drawing, but he has absolutely no way to see what is happening in the elevator to know the exact moment when to drop it and cut them off.
Continuity: As Chloe is running away from Justin in the barn, he looks to his right and sees a horseshoe nailed to a post. He throws the horseshoe at Chloe and hits her on the opposite side of her head from where the horseshoe was before.
Continuity: When Chloe is kissing Justin the shot is behind him and her hands are not on his neck. The shot switches to behind Chloe and she does have her hands on his neck.
Obscura (season 1, episode 20)
Continuity: Near the end when Clark and Chloe are talking in his barn, Clark calls to her as she walks away. His arm snaps from straight from the front to bent from behind.

Continuity: As Chloe leaves Clark calls out her name. In the shot from Chloe's side of the room, Clark is holding the pitchfork horizontally low in front of him. The shot switches, as Chloe finishes her turn, and now Clark is holding the pitchfork with his arm bent so that the pitchfork is no longer low in front of his waist.
Vortex (2) (season 2, episode 1)
Continuity: When Martha Kent and Lana were talking about the meteor shower in the Talon Relief Center they sit down on the stairs. Lana puts both her hands on her knees. But in the next shot now her arms are outstretched in front of her, and now it's her elbows which are on her knees.
Audio problem: When Lex talks to Clark, Clark clicks his flashlight on, and you hear the click signifying he has turned it on. But in the next shot, the flashlight is now off, without another click sound heard to signify that the flashlight was turned off.
Plot hole: When Nixon and Jonathan are trapped in the crypt after the landslide, Nixon says he can't breathe, and Jonathan says this is because the landslide cut off the air supply. However, we can see beams of sunlight shining in. So, unless the ceiling of the crypt is made of airtight glass, that landslide didn't cut off the entire air supply.
Continuity: When Clark, Pete and Chloe were looking for Clark's father in the woods, Pete says: 'the twister must have dropped it here' and we see Chloe holding the map in her right hand. Cut to a different angle (as Clark runs towards the screen) and in the background we see Chloe holding the map with her left hand instead.
Continuity: When Clark brings Lana to the hospital, a doctor attends to her and checks her vitals. In a close up we see the doctors right hand on Lana's neck checking her pulse and her left hand is no where in sight. Cut to a wider angle (as Clark runs away) but now the doctor is holding a flashlight in her right hand and her left hand is on Lana's forehead.

Cut back to a wider angle (as they walk away) yet we see Chloe throw down the camera once again.
Continuity: When Clark and Lex are searching for Clark's dad, right after Clark gets mad at Lex and leaves it shows a head shot of Lex with the bandage over his left eye. In the beginning of the show he was injured over his right eye.
Heat (season 2, episode 2)
Revealing: In the scene in which Johnathan shoots Lex, you can see he is gently lowering and raising the barrel of the gun whilst shooting, even though there is a 'bullet-time' effect in progress. Maybe the sequence is shot in real-time, with the actors standing still and the 'bullet' added afterwards? Furthermore, would Lex really move that quickly in relation to the speed of the bullet?
Continuity: After Lex confronts Desiree about changing her name, Lex says 'we really need to discuss this' Desiree then kisses Lex and they both tilt their heads to their left. Cut to a different angle and they are both tilting her heads to the right.
Continuity: When Lana was making a video to send to Whitney, we see her interviewing Clark. We first see Clark through the camera's view finder. Lana then drops the camera (pointing it down) such that we see Clark's feet. Cut to a different angle but now Lana's is pointing the camera at Clark's chest level.
Continuity: When Desiree walks into Clark's barn to work on their 'student-teacher relations', she holds her hair up with her right hand as she complains about the heat. She then lets her hair down and fixes it. Cut to a different angle and she is letting her hair down once again.
Revealing: In the sheriff's office, the door to the jail area has no lock plate on the wall.
Continuity: In Jail, when the sheriff tells Chloe and Lana that visiting time is over, we see Clark holding the bars with his left hand as he tells the girls that his dad went to see Desiree. Cut to a different angle (from inside the jail cell) but now Clark is no longer holding onto the bars and only holds them a few seconds later.
Continuity: When Jonathan goes to talk to Desiree, Jonathan throws Desiree a bathrobe. She then proceeds to put it on and lifts her right hand over her head as she does so. Cut to a different angle and now she is raising her right hand over her head once again.
Continuity: At the beginning of the scene where Clark discusses Desiree with his parents, his hand shift from brushing over his glass to gripped around it.
Continuity: When Clark decides to stay home from school because he cannot control his heat vision, his father decides to have a talk with him. Jonathan pulls his son to face him and them places both his hands on Clark's shoulders. Cut to a different angle as Jonathan says: 'Clark, look at me…' but now we see his left hand on Clark's neck. Cut back to the previous angle and his hands are on Clark's shoulders again.
Continuity: When Jonathan goes to talk to Desiree, we see her getting out of the swimming pool. However her hair is just damp when it should have been completely wet and dripping all over the place considering the length of her hair.
Continuity: Pete arrives when Lana was interviewing Clark for a video that she would send to Whitney. Lana then asks Pete: 'want to give it a shot?' We then see Lana holding the view finder of the camera with her left thumb and index finger while the rest of her fingers in outstretched. Cut to a different angle (as we see Pete) but now the rest of her fingers are no longer outstretched.
Duplicity (season 2, episode 3)
Audio problem: After they get the spaceship into Pete's shed, Pete wants to go tell Chloe. Clark insists that he doesn't and Pete says "To her, this thing is the Holy Grail.". The shot zooms in and Pete's mouth shows him saying "Holy Grail" again even though he already said it and you don't hear the words.
Continuity: There are several close up shots of the syringe that Dr. Hamilton is using to threaten Pete with and you can see that it is made of plastic. Clark uses his heat vision to overheat the syringe causing it to burst but the sound the syringe makes when it bursts is that of a glass syringe and not the plastic one he was actually using.
Audio problem: Clark says "What if it's some sort of high tech crop duster or something?". Pete replies with "She'll never let us live it down." After the shot changes you can see Pete's mouth say "live it down" again with no sound coming out.
Continuity: Clark tries to talk to Pete into helping him find his ship. As Clark was talking about the driver, we see the cover to Pete's locker in the foreground. Cut to a different angle and now Pete's left hand is on the locker and it wasn't there in the previous angle.
Continuity: When Dr. Hamilton was about to pour liquid kryptonite on Clark, Pete hits him on the back and he goes crashing onto a table knocking everything on it off the table. Yet later we see an open bottle of liquid kryptonite on the edge of the table (which was cleared by the doctor earlier) dripping onto the doctors forehead.
Continuity: At the collision, Pete looks out over the cornfield and sees the flashing turn signal of the truck but not its headlights, which should be brighter.
Continuity: When Pete first finds the ship, there are only three cornstalks between it and the van. Later when he shows it to Clark, there are many more stalks.
Continuity: After Pete confronts Clark about the missing space ship in his tool shed, Pete gets into his car and we see Clark put his right hand on the door of Pete's car. Cut to a different angle as Pete drives away but now Clark's hand is no longer on the door.
Audio problem: After Pete confronts Clark about the missing space ship in his tool shed, Pete walks away and Clark tries to explain. We hear Pete say "wait ‘til Chloe hears about this..." as he was getting into the car however, his lips were not moving.
Red (season 2, episode 4)
Continuity: While in the line to claim their class rings, Pete holds a folded piece of paper (probably his receipt). As Clark says: "I earned that money.", Pete starts to unfold the paper. Cut to a different angle as Clark continues: "Besides, my dad said." but now Pete is looking at a completely unfolded piece of paper.
Continuity: During the opening scene, behind Jesse you can see the vice principal walk up behind her and reach out as he's about to put his hand on her shoulder, yet the very next shot of Lana, in the background you can see he's just exiting a room.
Continuity: After the credit card company calls the Kent's to confirm purchases made the night before, we see Jonathan holding a mug by the rim. They then notice the music coming from Clark's barn and go to investigate. Cut to a different and now Jonathan is holding the mug by its ear.
Continuity: After Jonathan and Martha talk about Clark's new behavior in the porch, we see Lana at the Talon sprinkling something onto a drink. When Clark was still walking towards Lana we can see that the pointed part of the container Lana was holding was pointing up. Cut to a different angle and now the pointed part of the container Lana is holding is pointing down.
Continuity: When Clark gives his "I understand you, dad" speech at the table, he puts his left hand on his mom's right shoulder. She then holds Clark's hand with her right hand. Clark then walks across the table and as they cut to a wider angle Martha Kent's right hand is suddenly on the table.
Continuity: When Pete and Jonathan corner Clark in the cornfield, Pete opens a lead box containing green kryptonite to weaken Clark. The position of how Pete holds the lead box changes every cut. At first he is holding it with just his right hand, then just his left, then both his hands.
Continuity: When Chloe tells Pete about her discovery about the Red meteor rocks, she gives a sample to Pete who then looks at it. At this time the red meteor embedded in the rock is above Pete's left index and middle fingers. Cut to a close up of Pete's ring and the rock but now the rock is embedded in between Pete's left index finger and thumb.
Continuity: While Clark is talking to the agent that he has pinned to the wall, with the billiard table, the balls near the gun change their positions between shots.
Continuity: At the bar, the agent looking for Jessie calls the barkeeper. He then proceeds to fold a piece of paper and puts down the pen which he was holding onto the bar. Cut to a different angle (as he takes out a photo of Jessie from his coat) but now the paper is unfolded and he is holding the pen in his hand again.
Factual error: When the agent goes to the Luthor mansion and confronts Clark about Jessie's whereabouts, Clark uses his speed to push the billiard table into the agent and jams him against a wall. As he does, the billiard balls obviously move due to the force Clark put on the table. Cut to the agent and later on Clark and we still see the billiard balls on the table yet they are no longer moving. It was too quickly for an object in motion such as a billiard ball to come to a complete stop given the force Clark exerted on the table.
Continuity: At the bar, the agent shows the barkeeper a picture of Jessie. Throughout the whole conversation, it is the agent who is holding the picture. However, when the agent says something about the legal drinking age in Kansas, it is the bartender who is instantaneously holding the picture.
Nocturne (season 2, episode 5)
Continuity: When Pete and Clark go to Byron's house to find him, Clark finds the hidden locked door to the cellar. Clark then breaks the locks and uses both his hands to pull on the door. Cut to a different angle (from above Clark) but now he is just using his left hand.
Continuity: After Byron transforms, he pushes Pete through the windshield of an old car. The impact causes the front passenger door of the car to open. Yet later when Clark check up on Pete, the front passenger door is now closed.
Continuity: After Clark reads Lana's letter that she found, Pete gets up and sits on the couch next to Chloe. When Clark says "Sounds more like a stalker than a secret admirer." a shot of Pete has him sitting back over by Clark even though he was over by Chloe.
Continuity: Clark arrives at the Talon after Lex reads the mysterious love letter for Lana. Lex the gives back the letter to Lana twice between shots.
Continuity: Byron mom buys him a book by Edgar Allan Poe at the used bookstore. Byron takes it with his right hand and looks at it. Cut to a wider angle (as Byron stands up) but now he is holding the book in his left hand.
Redux (season 2, episode 6)
Revealing: In the Talon when Crissy is talking to Clark, we see a close up of her hand aging. However, as her hand ages, a reflection of her real hand (which supposedly aged) can be seen on the metal clip of her clipboard, which is still young and smooth, and not aged.
Continuity: At the Talon, Clark tries to write his essay when Crissy shows up asking Clark to sign up for the decorations committee. Crissy holds her clipboard with her left hand and places her right hand on her hip. But in the next shot Crissy's right hand on the clipboard as well. Cut back to the previous angle and her right hand is back on her hip.
Continuity: Clark tells his parents that he went to see his grandfather and that he asks to give the cashiers check to his mom. He takes it out of his pocket with his right hand and Martha Kent takes it with her left hand. Cut to a different angle but now it is Martha's left arm which is see being pulled back to her body as if she took the check using her right hand instead.
Continuity: When Russell shows Crissy the lighting on the stage, we see him put a blue filament on the light with both his hands. He then drops his right hand as they cut to another angle but now he is lowering his right hand again.
Plot hole: Clark is supposed to hide his powers from everyone. When the other swimmer in the final race starts to drown Clark uses his super speed to get him off of the bottom of the pool. Everyone who was in the pool area had their eyes on the drowning kid so somebody should have seen Clark just appear at his side.
Continuity: When Lex finds Clark in the Talon doing his essay, he sits and talks with him. He puts his cup on the table and puts his hands in front of him. In the next shot, Lex now has his arms crossed in front of him on top of the table.
Continuity: As Clark walks into his grandfather's motel room, his hands are behind his back. He turns to face his grandfather and both hands are now in front of him holding the photo album. The next shot shows him in the foreground raising his left arm from his side to hold the album.
Plot hole: Krissy's mutant aging reduces her to dust and ash within seconds. Oddly enough, it takes her non-mutant clothing with her.
Continuity: When Clark arrives late for school in Lex's car, he is stopped by principal Reynolds who tells him that he should have been there four minutes ago and points at his watch with his right hand. Cut to a different angle but now he is pointing at Clark with his right hand.
Factual error: Chrissy is the leader of Spirit Week and is trying to organise it. We see her kiss her boyfriend Troy, and suck the life out of him a few days before Spirit Week. However, Chloe pulls up the file on Troy, and it says his date of death is June 20, 2002. This is highly unlikely, as Spirit Week is put on in the days leading up to homecoming, and homecoming is usually in late September or October.
Continuity: Clark rushes to get to school in Lex's car and we see principal Reynolds closing the gate to the school. In the close up, we see that the principal is off to the left of the lock of the gate. Cut to a different angle (his back to the camera) just as Clark arrives in Lex's car but now he is standing in front of the gate lock.
Lineage (season 2, episode 7)
Continuity: When Jonathan runs up to Lex, while he is unconscious, the first shot of Lex has his arm bent but not near his face. The shot switches to look down on Lex and now he is laying with his hand considerably closer than the previous shot.
Continuity: When Lana shows Chloe the picture of her mother and Henry Small. We see that Chloe holds the picture on its bottom corners with both her hands. Cut to a close up of the picture but now she is holding it in the bottom middle of the picture. Cut back to the previous angle and she is holding it by the corners once again.
Continuity: When Lex comes to after being kidnapped by Rachel, she wipes his face with a piece of cloth using her right hand. She then transfers the cloth to her left hand and continues to wipe Lex's face. Cut to a different angle as she says "I bought it with the money your father gave me" but now the cloth is instantaneously back in her right hand.
Revealing: As Sheriff Ethan pulls up there is a reflection on his driver side window. You can see the police department shield on the door and the door handle reflected on the driver's side window. There were no other police cars there so it was probably reflected off a mirror used to help light the scene.
Continuity: In the flashback when the Kent's meet Clark, we see Jonathan loading the space ship onto the back of the pick up truck. He then see Martha carrying Clark who was wrapped up in a blanket. At first we see that Martha's left arm is wrapped around Clark's back onto his shoulder. Cut to Jonathan's viewpoint and now Martha is just supporting Clark and her left arm is no longer around Clark.
Continuity: Lionel press conference about Lex's kidnapping only infuriates Rachel. She then picks up an axe and was about to swing at the tied up Lex when he manages to get his right leg free and kick Rachel backwards. As she falls backwards, we can see that she drops the axe off to her left side. Cut to a different angle but now the axe is over her head to her right side.
Continuity: When Lana was talking to Chloe after Clark and Chloe have a fight. Chloe says "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to dump on you" as she wipes away her tears with both her hands. Cut to a different angle but now her hands are no where near her face.
Continuity: As Jonathan and Martha drive away in the truck, we see Rachel for the very first time and she has both her hands in her coat pockets. Cut to a close up but now her hands are outside the coat pockets.
Continuity: The woman uses her right hand to get a swab for DNA testing from Clark. At first, we only see her right hand near Clark's face. Cut to a different angle as she says "There, now that didn't hurt a bit did it?" but now her left hand is close to Clark's face.
Ryan (season 2, episode 8)
Continuity: Nell meets up with Lana to talk to her about moving to Metropolis. We see Lana going up to Nell while riding a horse. She then stops and is about to dismount when they cut to another angle but now Lana is dismounting yet again.
Audio problem: After Ryan collapses at Lex's, he and Clark are talking while Ryan is in the hospital. In the shot of Clark as Ryan says "I know what's wrong with me." Ryan's mouth is visible and you can see that he is not speaking the line as we hear it.
Plot hole: Mayor Tate and Lex have a discussion about bribes and Tate says this is his 4th term. In last season's episode "Crush", Pete gets a job as a summer intern on Mayor Spiegel's re-election campaign. So how is it possible for Tate to have been on his 4th term when in the previous year Spiegel was Mayor?
Continuity: At Ryan's surprise welcome back party, Clark puts his right hand over Ryan's shoulder as he asks him "you knew about this didn't you?" Cut to a different angle as Ryan responds "I was tempted too" but now Clark's hand is no longer on Ryan's shoulder. Cut to Clark then back to Ryan and now Clark's hand is back on Ryan's shoulder.
Continuity: Lex brings some comic books to Ryan at the hospital. He holds all of them with his left hand. He then shows 66 of the comic to Ryan and holds it with both hands. Cut to a different angle and now he is holding the comics with just his left hand once again.
Continuity: After Clark finds out that Ryan is dying, we see him holding a comic book in the farm. His dad then arrives and he turns to look at him. He places his left hand to his side as he holds the comic book in his right hand. Cut to a different angle and now both his hands are together in front of him.
Dichotic (season 2, episode 9)
Continuity: At the end of the confrontation between Clark and Ian regarding what he is doing to Chloe and Lana, Ian turns to his right to walk away from Clark. Cut to a different angle and now Ian is turning to his left as he walks away from Clark.
Continuity: When Clark lifts Lana back onto the bridge, from a shot from above, we see that Lana puts her left leg onto the bridge into a sitting position. They then cut to a different angle but now both her legs are still dangling and she eventually puts her right leg on the bridge first.
Continuity: The shot with Ian pulling Lana out of the car shows the shadow cast on the bridge covering half the road. A few seconds later, after Chloe gets free of the Ian that has her, the shadows on the bridge are much shorter.
Continuity: At the Talon during Chloe's interview with Ian, Ian holds the mug by its ear, but in the next shot Ian is no longer holding the mug by its ear but by the mug itself.
Factual error: When Ian throws the unconscious Chloe over the edge of the dam we see her falling down as Clark falls with her. However, Chloe's body position is unnatural for someone who is falling while unconscious. Her head/body is arched backwards when air resistance should have forced her body to become level/straight.
Continuity: When Ian is dragging Lana towards the dam, his double can be seen in the background dragging Chloe. The double is on Chloe's right side pushing her. Cut to a close up as Chloe says "Ian you need help" but now the double is behind Chloe and is pulling her.
Revealing: When we see Ian split, his two selves are supposed to be looking directly at each other but they're really both looking slightly to the right. It's hard to focus when there's really nothing there.
Continuity: After Clark catches Chloe, he runs back on top of the bridge and we see Ian with both his hands on the railing of the dam. But in the next shot it is his arms which are on the railing, then his hands once again, in the next shot.
Continuity: When Ian confronts Mr. Frankle about his grade, the teacher removes both his gloves and is about to raise his face protector. Cut to a different angle but now he has his right glove back on.
Continuity: Chloe's mouth changes from open when she hits the ground struggling with Ian to closed when he is moving her unconscious body.
Skinwalker (season 2, episode 10)
Plot hole: Chloe says the coroner found teeth marks on the foreman's bones. During the attack, at the beginning of the episode, the foreman only got a couple of scratches on his face and the rest of his clothes were perfectly fine and hadn't, in any way, been torn up. It would have taken the wolf tearing through the clothes, through the skin and, finally, through the muscle to leave any teeth marks on the foreman's bones and that did not happen.
Continuity: While he is being attacked by the wolf the foreman fires the flare gun with his arms spread, meaning that it would fly at an angle away from him. He then sees it arcing back from below toward him, impossible unless the flare changed direction and location in the air.
Visible crew/equipment: After Joseph gets locked out of the construction site, the worker, who locked him out, walks away. All the other workers at the site are gone, but when the shot returns to Joseph you can see the shoulder of someone standing between Joseph and the gate even though there should be nobody there.
Visible crew/equipment: After Kyla dies the scene goes to the construction site as Martha and Lionel get out of a SUV. As Martha gets out you can see the camera and film crew reflected in the window of the SUV.
Continuity: When the wolf jumps out the window of the Luthor mansion there is no blood on the glass shards that are left in the window. As Clark goes to the window, there is, all of a sudden, a lot of blood present on the glass.
Audio problem: In the barn, as Kyla and Clark talk about Skinwalkers, Clark says "like the legend of Naman is just a story?". When the shot switches to Kyla you can see Clark is talking but no dialogue is heard from him.
Continuity: Joseph, Kyla and Clark are at the Talon, in the scene after Joseph is bailed out of jail. Martha comes in and walks over to the three of them. The next shot has her stopped next to Clark, with no forward movement to indicate she is still walking to him. In the shot after that she is still walking up to Clark.
Continuity: When Lex is talking to Lionel outside the building site at the end, Lex's sunglasses disappear while the camera is on Lionel and reappear when back on Lex. This happens after Lionel turns to face slightly behind Lex and continues throughout the rest of that exchange.
Visible crew/equipment: While Clark and Pete are riding dirt bikes, you can see a crew-member in a green jacket in the bottom-right-hand corner of the screen in the shot where they go off the jump. In the next shot he has disappeared.
Visage (season 2, episode 11)
Revealing: When Tina puts the necklace on Clark to disable him, he falls to the ground of his barn. As he is lying there, his collar is very dark, and his shoulder is lit up. Since the source of the green light is supposed to be the necklace, his collar should be the brightest lit.
Audio problem: When Whitney is tearing up the bathroom, he throws the door and we don't hear it land. I saw this on the DVD, so it was not a transmission problem.
Factual error: Tina Greer disguised as Whitney walks down the hallway dressed in marine corps dress blues. His rank was a private first class, yet he had a blood stripe going down his pant legs. You do not receive the blood stripe until you reach corporal. Also the medals were wrong and some missing (i.e. combat action). The marine that comes to the house later and is killed by Tina Greer, had medals that were wrong as well.
Continuity: As Clark walks up to Lex you can see the tip of Lex's cue stick is 3-4 inches away from the rail. Before Clark picks it up the stick is now right up against the rail.
Continuity: In the shot where Clark picks up Lex's cue stick, the balls on the table are spread out in an arch consisting of 4 balls. The shot switches to a low level shot looking at Lex and the balls at Lex's end, where the arch should be, are no longer forming an arch.
Audio problem: While talking about Tina Greer's suicide after Chloe says "lit a match" you can hear Pete say "okay" but you see his mouth doesn't move with the word.
Continuity: When Clark and Lex were talking about Helena while playing billiards, Clark picks up the stripped blue ball. They then continue to talk as he plays with the ball in his hand. He then puts it back on the table allowing it to roll but now its has changed into the cue (white) ball and the stripped blue ball can be see in the foreground right next to the side pocket and a stripped red ball.
Continuity: Lex and Clark are playing pool. Lex misses his shot on the 12 ball and scratches which leaves the 12 ball near the pocket. After Clark gets the cue ball, he makes his shot on a different ball and the 12 ball that was next to the pocket is gone without it being knocked into the pocket.
Continuity: After Clark sees Whitney and realizes that he may be Tina Greer the next scene is at the school newspaper The Torch. The first shot of the computer, as the camera pans past it, has a story about Whitney's return up front with the story about Tina Greer's "suicide" behind it. Even though nobody touches the computer in the time between shots the next shot of the screen has just the story on Tina Greer and Whitney's story is completely gone.
Factual error: When the Marine officer comes to Whitneys house, he introduces himself as Lt. McNulty, but he is wearing the insignia of a Captain.
Insurgence (season 2, episode 12)
Revealing: After Lex's employee walks out of the office, Lex's gets mad and throws most of the objects off his desk. Prior to this, we a computer screen displaying something. When the objects go flying off and hit the wall, we see that it wasn't actually a computer screen but a prop that was made look like one. It was just the frame, a piece of paper that served as the display covered by clear plastic to make it look like an actual computer screen.
Continuity: When Lex speaks with the Lieutenant, watch Clark and Jonathan in the background. They are seen standing by a News Now van and looking up at the Daily Planet. When the camera cuts to them, they are shown walking past the News Now van again.
Continuity: When Lana is meeting with the Small's over coffee at the Talon and Mr. Small gets more coffee for himself and is wife, he picks up his cup and his wife's. Then when he comes back he puts down the coffee for himself and Lana.
Suspect (season 2, episode 13)
Continuity: When there is a flashback of the shooting, the police officer is heard to fire 3 shots, yet in each other flashbacks it's 2 shots and there are only 2 wounds in the victim.
Prodigal (season 2, episode 15)
Factual error: At the beginning, Lucas holds another man in front of him to stop a hail of bullets. A human body won't stop most gunfire, certainly not from the submachine guns the thugs were using.
Continuity: When Lucas is in the Luthor mansion talking to Lionel and Lex, he picks up and inspects the samurai sword, then returns it to the holder, hanging it on one peg by the strap. In the next immediate shot, it is resting between the pegs, as it was before he picked it up.
Continuity: The motorcyclist has his visor down when he appears at the end of the alley. He raises the gun, then reaches up and lowers his visor again.
Fever (season 2, episode 16)
Plot hole: When Jonathan breaks into the military compound, how did Clark get there in that short a time, seeing as Jonathan drove and Clark is without his superpowers?
Continuity: The position of Clark's sleeve to the tourniquet change between shots. When Dr. Bryce first ties the tourniquet she does so at about an inch from the end of the sleeve. In the next shot, as Clark lies unconscious and nobody touches his sleeve, the tourniquet is tied around the sleeve and no longer on his skin. Just before Dr. Bryce sticks the needle in it's back to being an inch from his sleeve.
Continuity: Just before Dr. Bryce removes the vial she unties the tourniquet and the straps are completely off of Clark's arm. In the shot of Clark after that, as Dr. Bryce looks at the vial, she unties the tourniquet again.
Continuity: After Clark says "I'm not leaving." Jonathan starts to talk about the list of things Martha needed to get done. As Jonathan says this there is a camera switch. Before the switch Clark is next to the window turned toward his dad. After the switch Clark is now standing further back from the window behind Jonathan's right shoulder.
Continuity: In the kitchen, Martha collapses and Clark catches her just in time. Jonathan then rushes to his wife and puts his right hand on her cheek and his left hand on Clark's shoulder. Cut to a close up of Martha as Jonathan calls her name but now he has both his hands on Martha's face.
Continuity: When Martha is in the kitchen and starts having a coughing fit from the toxin, she drops the pitcher of lemonade. The pitcher lands on its side and breaks, but in the next shot, the broken base is positioned upright, sitting level on the floor, the jagged broken edges waiting to impale Martha.
Audio problem: After the DCA shows Clark and Jonathan the metallic key, Clark says, "We need to think about mom," but his lips are not moving.
Witness (season 2, episode 20)
Audio problem: After Clark is dumped into the blast furnace and the thieves make a getaway in their truck, you can hear the sound of an accelerating engine as it's driving away, but the brake lights are on.
Revealing: Clark tries to stop the three guys who are inhaling refined kryptonite. As Clark gets tossed through a window, you can see the explosion of a small charge in the bottom left of the widow. Highly noticeable since Clark hits nowhere near where this charge goes off.
Exodus (2) (season 2, episode 23)
Continuity: When Kent leaves on his motorbike at the end of the episode, in a shot from behind Lana crosses her arms. In the next closeup her right arm is up by her mouth.
Continuity: When Clark is fighting with Dr. Walden, twice Dr. Walden sends Clark flying, with his powers. Both times, when Clark hits the ground, he becomes quite buried into the soft dirt, not entirely, but relatively sunken into it. However when it will cut to the next shot, Clark is lying on the dirt without being buried into it at all. This is obviously due to switches between actor and stunt double.
Audio problem: At the wedding, after Jonathon gives Lex the compass, in a side shot we hear Jonathon say a line, yet his mouth is completely out of sync.
Continuity: As Jor-El is first burning the mark on Clark's chest the mark moves to the upper right part of his chest. In the next shot, closer in on Clark, you can see the same area again but now there is no mark where there was one before.
Exile (1) (season 3, episode 1)
Continuity: When Lewis says to Lex ".the bitch that set you up." he is holding the stick with the point in his wrist. In the very next shot he is gripping the stick by the side and not from the point.
Plot hole: After Chloe and Lionel's discussion we see the Naman and Segeth glyph. This glyph is colored in black and white unlike it was in Season 1 episode Skinwalkers.
Other: Early in the episode, Clark uses his heat vision to blow up a police car. In the shot where we see the policewoman diving for cover, there is a front view of the car as it is exploding. The license plate on the front of the car IS a Metropolis plate, however, as the plate falls off, the white placard that auto companies and dealerships place in the license plate frames on new vehicles before they are registered and which are removed once plates are installed is visible.
Continuity: When Chloe and Lionel finish their discussion in the cave the shot focuses on the Naman/Segeth glyph and focuses through the glyph to a transition shot of an island that Lex is on. When we first see this island it is flat and covered with trees. The next time the island is shown there is now a large volcano/mountain that was not their when we first see the island.
Phoenix (2) (season 3, episode 2)
Continuity: As Morgan Edge hands Lionel the bag with the mason jar of blood the camera is on Lionel's side and bag has a very neatly folded flap to keep the top closed. As Lionel takes the bag, while the camera is on Edge's side, the opening is wrinkled and not folded shut as it was before.
Plot hole: When Edge needs the vial of Clark's blood back, Edge holds Clark's parents hostage. Clark decides to use a sharp piece of kryptonite rock to cut his skin and give Edge a new sample. When Clark picks it up, and when he places the kryptonite rock on his skin, he shows no sign of the usual affects of the rock which include the green lines radiating up his arms.
Factual error: While Clark is inside the semi-truck being delivered to Morgan Edge and Lionel Luthor he manages to remove the kryponite apparently duct taped to his chest. This cannot be possible since he even a small piece of kryptonite (Lana's necklace) was enough for him to trip and fall from several feet away! Imagine a larger chunk like the one they strapped to his chest. He should have been severely weakened by it and the radiation should go through anything in that truck besides lead and the tape used to secure the rock on Clark's chest is not made of lead. His ability to not only have the strength to rip the taped rock off his chest but to then launch it to the far side of the truck should not be possible in view of the nearly immobilizing effects kryptonite has on Clark.
Continuity: When Clark and Jonathan return home, Jonathan collapses on the couch. It shows Clark rushing to his side. But in the next shot where it shows Martha's reaction, you can see Clark rushing to his side again.
Continuity: When Lex pulls the gun on Linoel, when the camera is on Lex he is pointing the gun in Lionel's face. When the camera is on Lionel, Lex is pointing the gun in Lionel's chest.
Extinction (season 3, episode 3)
Factual error: When the bad guy shoots at Clark with the kryptonite bullet, he is facing the other way, then hears the shot, turns around and tries to catch the bullet. This couldn't have happened because a bullet from that kind of rifle is faster than the speed of sound. So the bullet would have hit him in the back before the sound could reach his ears.
Slumber (season 3, episode 4)
Revealing: While there was a close up on Clark while he was asleep, you could see a small cut right above his eye, which is impossible if he can't be hurt.
Plot hole: In this episode Clark keeps having dreams of this girl who moved in Lana's old house, and is in a coma. In one of the dream sequences Clark says he doesn't have powers in the dreams. Yet in a previous dream he's with Lex at his mansion, and Lex takes a Japanese Katana and attacks Clark with it, but Clark blocks the sword with his arm and the sword blade shatters. If he doesn't have any powers in the dreams then shouldn't he have been hurt?
Continuity: At the beginning when Clark and Lana are on the small pier by the lake, it alternates from sunny to shady between shots during the scene.
Revealing: Lana and Clark are supposed to be skinny dipping at Crater Lake. When Clark pops up out of the water and goes "boo" to Lana she spins around and splashes Clark for making her worry. As she starts to splash Clark her body comes out of the water far enough to see she is wearing a tan tube top instead of actually skinny dipping.
Revealing: At the beginning of this episode Lana is supposedly naked. However, when she dives off of the pier, she is wearing a pair of red shorts.
Revealing: When Nicholas throws the lighter it is supposed to be lit so that it will light the gas and kill Lana but as it flips through the air, before Clark grabs it, the lighter has no flame at all.
Continuity: When Clark goes to give the flowers to Sarah, her uncle answers the door. The first shot is of the uncle through a flyscreen door, which he opens. We then see a shot of Clark outside the door, and then the uncle opens the flyscreen door a second time.
Continuity: When Lana undresses before jumping into the lake, she kicks all her clothes right beside Clark's feet. But in the shot where she dives off the end of the pier, all of the clothes are piled well away from Clark.
Perry (season 3, episode 5)
Audio problem: In the beginning of the episode, Clark leaves for the Talon to meet with Pete. He is offered a ride by his mother, but says he'll run there instead. As he closes the door behind him, we hear the sound of him taking off in super-speed, but we can still see him through the glass in the door moving down the stairs in normal speed.
Plot hole: How did Perry manage to tie himself to the barrier without Lana noticing?
Continuity: At the end of the episode, Perry and Clark arrive at the intersection to wait for the bus. They walk out into the intersecting road, and the bus arrives, positioned in the middle of the road, since they are standing in the right lane. Perry and Clark say their goodbyes, and a new shot of the bus from behind, shows the bus is in the right lane only as it starts up from the stop.
Continuity: Just before Clark gets the call from Lana we see inside the trunk of Pete's car. At this point there is a coiled rope in the trunk turned parallel to the rear of the car. When Pete gets the rope for Clark a little later the rope is turned perpendicular to the rear of the car.
Continuity: As the telephone pole crashes falls on Perry's car the sky is bright blue with very widely spread clouds. Clark takes less than two seconds to get Perry out of the car and as he runs away from the car, with Perry in his arms, the sky now has many more clouds than before.
Continuity: As Perry and Clark talk for the last time in this episode the sunlight in the scene changes between shots. As they step out of the truck the sun is behind them as they walk towards the road where the bus is going to stop. When Perry turns to face Clark the sunlight, which should now be hitting Perry right in the face, is instead casting a bright orange light on the back of Perry's head.
Factual error: Perry uses a simple black rope to tie himself to the railing by his ankle. This is not a bungee cord of any kind. He falls and is stopped, jerked to a stop actually, with both his weight and the weight of Clark pulling on his ankle. This would cause a very serious sprain if not an actual broken ankle yet Perry shows no signs of being injured when he and Clark walk to the bus.
Audio problem: After Perry explains that the information he has on Lionel is with "multiple attorneys with 'in the event of my death' instructions" Perry tells Lex that the information is "all yours". As he says "all yours" the camera is behind and you can see Perry's mouth say "I just want one thing." but you don't hear Perry actually speak the line until the camera has switched and is facing Perry.
Audio problem: While Clark says "next time I could hurt you or mom." the camera is behind him. As he says "you or mom" his head is turned so that you can see his lips do not match the words being said.
Relic (season 3, episode 6)

Magnetic (season 3, episode 7)
Plot hole: When Lana is in jail, Clark tells her "Sheriff Adams knows you didn't steal the car and Lex has a lawyer working on the other charges." The police got involved after Lex called them because she stole the till from the Talon. Since Lex is the owner of the Talon, wouldn't it be a lot simpler for Lex to just DROP the charges rather than have a lawyer "work on" them?

When the shot switches to Clark, you can see her putting this same branch of white flowers in the vase even though she made no motion to do so in the previous shot. This is supposed to be continuous since you can hear Jonathan talking between the shots.
Continuity: The first time Seth tries levitating a spoon, he floats it a few inches towards him. When Lana enters and breaks his concentration, it falls back down almost exactly where it had been.

Visible crew/equipment: As Clark is ambushed inside Belle Reve, in shots focusing on Lex as he is being beaten by the twin and again a few seconds later, there is a dark object in the upper right corner of the shot. There is nothing in this scene to explain it and it moves with the camera so it is probably some piece of filming equipment. Regardless of what it is, it should not be in the shot.
Continuity: At the end of the episode, the doctor takes the mouthpiece out of Lex's mouth, then the scene cuts to Clark. When it cuts back to Lex, the mouthpiece is back in his mouth.

Revealing: The computer that Molly takes the hard drive from is shown as having no power cord plugged into the back of the unit. With no power being supplied to the unit the hard drive would not be displaying a picture on the monitor, the monitor itself maybe plugged up but no signal from the computer would be going to it, and we see that the wallpaper on the screen is immediately taken off when Molly unplugs the hard drive.

Then in the next shot, while still racing, both the blue neon lights in the back window and the green neon under the rear spoiler are on.
Factual error: In the scene where Clark stops Pete on the country road and is trying to talk Pete out of racing, why are there mountains in the background, in Kansas?
Audio problem: Towards the end of Lex telling Clark about his car, that it was stolen and returned, Lex says "Often that can be the test of a true friendship." After Lex's line the camera switches to show a reaction shot of Clark. In that shot, just before it switches back to Lex, you see Lex's mouth move as if he is saying something but there are no words heard.
