Trivia

Despite many hours of outdoor farm work, Clark never gets a tan or a sunburn. In fact, Tom Welling, who plays Clark, is contractually forbidden from getting a tan, because the show creators were not sure if Kryptonians could tan. See more...

Season: Whole show  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  All

Pilot (season 1, episode 1)

Mistake Continuity: Clark's hands on the hood of Jeremy's truck shift in different shots from spread wide to in front of him and close together.

Mistake Continuity: The Porsche that strikes Clark has no sign of impact when it goes over the side of the bridge.

Gone (season 4, episode 2)

Mistake Other: Lois digs up Chloe's grave site to unearth her casket. It is obvious that the casket is not buried six feet deep. You would think, will all that is going on, that LuthorCorp would have at least buried the casket deeper to deter inquisitive eyes and maybe throw in a few scattered bones for good measure.

Arrival (season 5, episode 1)

Mistake Factual error: In the opening credits for episode 5-1: "Arrival," Kristin Kreuk's first name was misspelled as "Kristen." The credits sequence, which was new for Season 5, was corrected by the time the second episode of the season aired.

Pilot (season 1, episode 1)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Clark finds Lex in the Luthor mansion, they walk down the hall and into a new room. As they enter, as Lex is saying "So, hows the new ride?" if you look in the bottom left of the screen you can see a white tape marker on the floor, where Lex will walk over to subsequently.

Mistake Continuity: When Jonathan lectures Clark about the danger of accepting gifts from Luthers, the key he twirls is a GM truck key, not a Ford truck key.

Mistake Factual error: When Lex crashes his car lands on its roof, yet in the space of a few seconds it has sunk straight to the bottom, and turned the right way up. Cars don't sink that quickly.

Across whole show

Mistake Revealing: There are times when it is quite evident that Michael Rosenbaum is voluntarily bald.

Lineage (season 2, episode 7)

Mistake Continuity: When Jonathan runs up to Lex, while he is unconscious, the first shot of Lex has his arm bent but not near his face. The shot switches to look down on Lex and now he is laying with his hand considerably closer than the previous shot.

Legacy (season 3, episode 17)

Mistake Continuity: As Clark jumps the fence, to stop Jonathan from falling, you can see Martha is standing in sunshine with the shadow of the barn well away from her. When Clark actually catches Jonathan suddenly Martha is standing in the shadow of the barn.

Lineage (season 2, episode 7)

Mistake Continuity: When Lana shows Chloe the picture of her mother and Henry Small. We see that Chloe holds the picture on its bottom corners with both her hands. Cut to a close up of the picture but now she is holding it in the bottom middle of the picture. Cut back to the previous angle and she is holding it by the corners once again.

Nicodemus (season 1, episode 15)

Mistake Continuity: When Chloe is first asking Pete and Clark the questions for her poll you can see that the top page on her clipboard is yellow. Then she shows it to Lana and the camera gives you a nice big shot of the front piece of paper and it is white. When Chloe says "its unleashing the inner Lana." the front of the clipboard is shown again and now the paper is yellow.

Jitters (season 1, episode 8)

Mistake Audio problem: Clark listens to his father and Earl talking in the hospital through the visitor window. The sound is the same volume and quality as when Earl was using the microphone, which he is not using now. Even if Clark used super-hearing to eavesdrop, it wouldn't sound the same as the microphone.

X-Ray (season 1, episode 4)

Mistake Continuity: While climbing ropes in the gym, Clark and Pete switch sides relative to each other. First Clark is on Pete's left, then he is suddenly on Pete's right.

Phantom (season 6, episode 22)

Mistake Continuity: When Lois attack the guard down in the dam, she hits his face, which causes the black cap that the guard is wearing to begin to fall off. Yet in the next shot the hat is firmly back on his head, before it is completely knocked off by Lois' next hit.

Slumber (season 3, episode 4)

Mistake Revealing: While there was a close up on Clark while he was asleep, you could see a small cut right above his eye, which is impossible if he can't be hurt.

Visage (season 2, episode 11)

Mistake Revealing: When Tina puts the necklace on Clark to disable him, he falls to the ground of his barn. As he is lying there, his collar is very dark, and his shoulder is lit up. Since the source of the green light is supposed to be the necklace, his collar should be the brightest lit.

Nocturne (season 2, episode 5)

Mistake Continuity: When Pete and Clark go to Byron's house to find him, Clark finds the hidden locked door to the cellar. Clark then breaks the locks and uses both his hands to pull on the door. Cut to a different angle (from above Clark) but now he is just using his left hand.

Reaper (season 1, episode 17)

Mistake Continuity: When Tyler turns Mrs. Sykes into ash she is laying down with her head on a pillow. This is where the dust collects. As Chloe and Clark check out what happened, the ash on the bed now shows that her head was on the bed and not the pillow as it was before.

Skinwalker (season 2, episode 10)

Mistake Plot hole: Chloe says the coroner found teeth marks on the foreman's bones. During the attack, at the beginning of the episode, the foreman only got a couple of scratches on his face and the rest of his clothes were perfectly fine and hadn't, in any way, been torn up. It would have taken the wolf tearing through the clothes, through the skin and, finally, through the muscle to leave any teeth marks on the foreman's bones and that did not happen.
