Our Very First Show - S1-E1

Corrected entry: In the first episode it shows the house a mess and Danny and Joey and Jesse not wanting to clean. Then in the future the show portrays Danny as always being a neat freak, even as a child.

vestryct

Correction: Not really a mistake, the whole premise of the first episode is to show how Danny is having trouble managing raising 3 kids and holding down a job on his own since his wife died. It would make sense that his house is in disarray in the beginning.

In the episode "The Return of Grandma" none of them want to clean, even Danny, who is being faced with the fact that his mom is coming to see how he's been doing and his desire to show her that he's doing well.

Gotta Dance - S5-E8

Corrected entry: When Stephanie is talking to Comet about how she has no life because of all of the new dancing in her life, right after she says the sentence about her having only 8 hours of free time when she is sleeping, she throws her hands up in the air and you can see a mystery third hand appear and go down behind her back. In the next shot, it is not there. (00:09:50)

Correction: There is a mirror behind Stephanie so you are seeing her hand in the mirror.

Our Very First Promo - S1-E12

Trivia: In this season, you can see DJ, Gibler, and Stephanie having a conversation in the garage. Before the renovation, Stephanie expressed her concern about there being a monster in the garage. However, in the episode before this, they renovated the garage and turned it into Joey's room. The episodes were aired out of order, hence the discontinuity, but it's not strictly a "mistake", more just an indication that this episode is clearly set earlier in the season.

Suggested correction: The episodes were simply aired out of the order in which they were produced.

Bishop73

In the "world" of the show, however, this is a mistake. The garage can't be renovated in one episode, then be the former garage in the next episode. The rules of this site note that behind-the-scenes explanations are not valid corrections.

No. The correction is valid. It's not a "behind the scene" explanation. The show's continuity remains constant if you watch the episodes in the order they were produced. A network's decision to air them out of order is not the fault of the show. This would be like if you had a book on CD where each track is a chapter but you played the CD on shuffle and then blamed the book for its continuity issues.

Bishop73

I can see both sides of it in terms of it being a "mistake", but it's such a grey area that stuff like this is rarely worth a debate. It's such a blatant discontinuity that it's a byproduct of the episodes being shuffled, making this more of a "prequel" rather than it being a mistake. A bit like errors in subtitles, it comes down to what strictly counts as a mistake in the show vs. A problem arising after the fact, whether someone's "at fault" or similar. I'll refile this as trivia.

Suggested correction: The top right hand corner shows part of the letter K from the Kids Only sign, not a microphone.

Claire and Present Danger - S8-E8

Corrected entry: During the close ups of Michelle as she listens to Gia and Stephanie discussing how great it would be to be sisters, you can see what appears to be a camera on the right hand side of the screen. (00:07:30)

Correction: Comet is sitting next to Michelle - that is what you are seeing.

Bowling255

Correction: During that episode, Becky says she's never seen him on skates and later in the episode Joey mentions he was flat on his back on the ice most of the game. Jesse just didn't admit that he couldn't actually skate until this episode.

A House Divided - S7-E24

Corrected entry: When the Tanners are having their family meeting about moving to a new house, Jesse shares a story of an incident in the house which occurred on March 4, 1989. He says that on that date, Danny painted the banister without informing anyone beforehand, and that Jesse slid down the banister on his way to a job interview. But if this happened in March of '89, then Jesse already had a job working with Joey in advertising, not to mention his own schedule with the Rippers band. And as busy as Jesse was in these two areas, there would've been no need for him to work an additional job.

zredman

Correction: The job interview wasn't for an additional job. With the advertising and the band, you still have to set up interviews to do work in both of those areas. It's possible he was on his way to an interview with an advertising client or an audition for the band.

Our Very First Telethon - S3-E24

Corrected entry: When Danny is sleeping, Stephanie wants to perform her dance, so she goes and gets her tape. When she starts to dance, we can hear it's a tape (because it's the real singer who is singing), but when she is finished, it's the band who is playing the song.

chrissepia

Correction: Yes, she does use the tape during the actual dance, then because of the way the tape abruptly ends on "Love Shack, " the band plays to segue out of the segment.

Trouble with Danny - S5-E22

Corrected entry: Near the end (in the last two minutes) Danny sits down on the bed closest to the closet while talking to Michelle...we all know this is Stephanie's bed because she made a big deal out of moving to that side of the room earlier, plus her poster is up behind the bed, but the bed that is there for Danny to sit on is Michelle's pencil bed...a moment later when Michelle gets into bed, the bed Danny is sitting on is Stephanie's, and Michelle's pencil bed is back where it belongs.

Jessie Steward

Correction: Danny does sit on Stephanie's bed, but you can see Michelle's bed when the camera pans when he sits down.

Bowling255

Air Jesse - S8-E16

Corrected entry: When Joey shot the ball behind the line, it should have counted for 2 points. Even the ref (played by Kareem Abdul Jabar), raised his hands, signaling 2 points, but they were only given 1 point.

Correction: At the beginning of the game, DJ said the game goes until someone gets 12 baskets, therefore, each shot counts as 1.

I'm Not D.J. - S6-E10

Corrected entry: Stephanie wants her ears pierced. Danny tells her that she has to be older like DJ was before he will allow that. Kimmy brings a earring gun to her house and pierces her ears and they get infected. But her ears were visibly pierced in several episodes before this one.

Correction: It was explained that she was wearing clip ons before.

Correction: Joey says this on purpose. You can hear a laugh in the background. Dave Coulier was supposed to say that.

Correction: Referring to someone by a different name is a very common practice in Adverts.

Suggested correction: There is no mistake, when Jesse and Becky arrive to the church after bailing him out, while they're rushing inside he's cleaning his shirt.

The stain was so deep, he couldn't have got rid of it just by cleaning it. It would have needed a thorough wash in the washing machine.

The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang - S4-E21

Plot hole: When Stephanie and DJ start singing that dad song in their room, Michelle come in and starts singing. After she goes, DJ and Stephanie have a talk. After two minutes, Michelle comes in, dressed like they are. How could a 4-year-old girl change to teenage clothes and fix her hair in two minutes? Danny was in his room (because he found the baking soda), and Jesse and Joey were too busy with Jesse and Becky's room to help her change.

Suggested correction: However it could have been Kimmy as she was seen in the tanner house hold not that earlier in that episode and may have never left.

Wrong-Way Tanner - S7-E3

Corrected entry: When Stephanie videotapes Becky singing and dancing, Jesse says it's probably the funniest thing on the tape, and Stephanie replies, 'Not as funny as your morning pep talk with your hair.' Yet, when the family views the tape, Jesse's hair pep talk comes after Becky's singing, even though it should be before, and nobody rewound the tape.

Correction: She says it so he knows she taped it.

Correction: The only assumption would be that Jesse's hair pep talk is his morning ritual, and that Stephanie taped another one of those the next morning.

zredman

Correction: She can't have been saying it so he knows she taped it because in the morning is when Jesse does his hair so how would that be taped on the tape later in the day than everything else that happened in the day.

Pal Joey - S2-E15

Corrected entry: When we see young Joey and Danny sitting on the bench at school together, a young Jesse Cochran comes and sits with them. But in season one Danny says that Joey and Jesse have never met before, but he's happy they get along well with each other, and even have an advertising job together.

kaisha

Correction: He's still right. In the flashback, only Danny and Joey introduce themselves to each other. Jesse was placed there by the teacher for chasing after the girls and neither Danny or Joey talked to him. Also, just because they were next to each other doesn't mean they actually met. There are kids I went to school with who I probably sat next to once, and if I saw them on the street today, I would be meeting them for the first time since I never actually met them back then.

Just One of the Guys - S1-E18

Character mistake: In the scene where Steve is changing the diaper on the toy, DJ asks if he would like to go ice skating tomorrow. When he says he can't she then says "well we can go tomorrow." (00:11:43)
