CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Friends & Lovers - S1-E5

Audio problem: When Gil is talking to the drug dealer in the desert, he refers to him as a 'dumb punk'. But this has been dubbed over as what he actually called the dealer was a 'dumb prick' which you can tell by Gil's lip movements. (00:23:50)

Fur and Loathing - S4-E5

Audio problem: When the Ranger is talking about shooting a coyote he says, "I took care of him." The shot is from behind and slightly to the right of the Ranger. When he says this line, his mouth is not moving.

Joel Amos Gordon

Dead Ringer - S4-E20

Audio problem: When Sarah is interrogating the police woman, there are some shots from the left side of the woman when she is speaking and her mouth/jaw movement do not match the words that she is saying.

Daddy's Little Girl - S6-E13

Audio problem: Warrick is examining the garage for evidence and sees a stack of crates of soda, he sees one has a bullet hole in it. He picks it up and shakes it, it rattles, demonstrating the bullet is still in the can. He pops the ring to open it and it hisses, despite the fact that the bullet hole in the side would have let the pressure out. They clearly used an unopened can to film the scene.

Show generally

Factual error: In a number of episodes people are shown eating and drinking in the laboratories. For instance, in "Miss Willows' Regrets" Nick and Greg are seen eating fried chicken in the lab, and in "Overload" Sara eats a sandwich while watching Grissom experiment with her deli pickle. There are other examples. No reputable laboratory (which this is supposed to be) would allow its staff to eat or drink while in the lab. It is basic scientific protocol to prevent contamination of samples or the person picking up toxins on their food.

Play with Fire - S3-E22

Question: Why would Catherine take the blame for the lab explosion? If anyone was to blame it was Hodges. Since he accidentally turned on the hot plate and even admits that sometimes it gets switched on by others accidentally, if he had bothered to make sure he didn't switch it on before leaving the room, the explosion never would have happened.
