Mr. Bean Rides Again (series 1, episode 9)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the opening scene of the episode, Mr. Bean goes around various places of his mini to get keys. During these actions, the camera pans with him. The cameraman's reflection is seen a few times during the pans in windows and sides of cars. He is wearing a checkered shirt and a green jacket.

Mistake Factual error: Bean is seen connecting a set of jump leads to two large brass-like electrodes in a lighting column. These would never be present in real life - especially with so much conductive material on show.

Mistake Revealing: In the train scene when Mr. Bean plugs his ears with his socks you can see that he didn't use the ones he was actually wearing before. Once he took them off he placed them in front of him but reached slightly to his right for the ones he plugged in his ears. Also those where still flat like after ironing them and didn't look worn at all.

Mistake Continuity: When Mr. Bean is dressing in his car on the way to the dentist, just after he puts his shirt on the camera cuts to show him from the rear of the car. In this shot he has his dress pants on already, but he hadn't put them on yet and in subsequent shots they are gone again.

Mistake Revealing: When the dog jumps up at the Postbox, it wobbles slightly, meaning that it's a prop and not a real Postbox.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the ambulance comes to pick up the heart attack victim, as the camera pans across the back of the van to see Mr. Bean with the jumpstart cables, a boom mic can be seen in the door windows at the top, whilst the dolly tracks and the dolly rig and the track can be seen reflected in the bottom windows.

Merry Christmas Mr. Bean (series 1, episode 10)

Mistake Continuity: Mr Bean only removes four bangers from his Christmas crackers, but when he puts them all into a single big cracker, there are far more than four there.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: After Mr. Bean chooses the ornament for his Christmas tree, he takes the gold ornament over to the counter and as the camera moves closer the shadow of the camera can be seen on the desk.

Mistake Revealing: When Mr. Bean gets his head stuck in the turkey looking for his watch it can be seen still on his wrist during a couple of scenes.

Mistake Audio problem: When Mr Bean parks his Mini outside Harrods, the sound of the car door shutting can be heard before it actually closes.

Mr. Bean In Room 426 (series 1, episode 11)

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When Bean unpacks his suitcase, he takes out his teddy, clothes, several large framed pictures, a curtain rail, bathroom gear, a lampshade and even an electric drill. Firstly, it is impossible for all this to fit inside his small suitcase. Secondly during his unpacking the suitcase is never shown (suggesting the above was already placed in the room at the time) and thirdly, when he takes his case out of his car, the porter picks it up with no effort whatsoever, suggesting the case was empty in the first scene.

Mistake Revealing: When Bean silences the guest in room 427 after they were playing loud music, he accidently locks himself out. Later when Bean crawls under a carpet past his room to hide from a kissing couple, room 427 has changed into a fire exit (you can see the room number has been replaced by a fire exit sign).

Mistake Factual error: Bean kind of 'squeezes' the TV remote control in some shots to switch the TV on/off or change the channel but doesn't press the buttons on the keypad. On this type of remote control (it's a JVC one by the way), the large blue button is the power button, but it never gets pressed.

Do-It-Yourself Mr. Bean (series 1, episode 13)

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Mr. Bean is on the roof of his car in the armchair, he has a brick in front of the tire. When he is ready to go he pulls it away and drops it. But as he drives away you can see in the background that the brick has disappeared.

Mistake Other: At the end when Mr. Bean blows up the paint and it splatters all over the walls in his apartment, he comes back in and his doorknob is covered in wet white paint which he pushes shut. Only problem is that when he pulls his fingers back, there is no wet paint whatsoever on them.

Mistake Revealing: After Mr. Bean crashes into the van with the feathers in it, and then goes inside, he coughs, and feathers supposedly come out of his mouth. However, from the way he does it, you can see the feathers were in his hand to start with.

Mistake Audio problem: Bean must have an amazing hi-fi system if it can produce sound without having any speakers. There are no speakers visible anywhere in his flat.

Mistake Continuity: When Mr Bean finds Hubert's hat lying on his shelf beside the clock, he puts it in front of the clock to cover the clock up. But when Hubert's silhouette is seen at the end of the show, it shows him lifting his hat from the position it was originally in - beside the clock.

Mistake Continuity: When Mr. Bean goes to the January sales, there is a huge queue of people waiting outside the store he visits - but the roads outside it are completely empty of cars. Since the shop is in London (you can see a London Transport sign on a bus shelter), which is usually choked with traffic anyway, this is highly incongruous.

Mistake Continuity: When Mr. Bean brings in his new chair after his "incident", he wheels his old chair over to the wall with a minimal gap to accommodate the new chair. But when he is accidentally dropping things out of the gap in his wall, he goes and looks at the mess he has made and the chair has moved forward considerably without anyone touching it.
