Deliberate "mistake": When Bean unpacks his suitcase, he takes out his teddy, clothes, several large framed pictures, a curtain rail, bathroom gear, a lampshade and even an electric drill. Firstly, it is impossible for all this to fit inside his small suitcase. Secondly during his unpacking the suitcase is never shown (suggesting the above was already placed in the room at the time) and thirdly, when he takes his case out of his car, the porter picks it up with no effort whatsoever, suggesting the case was empty in the first scene.

Trivia
The Latin lyrics used at the beginning are "Ecce homo qui est farba, qui est farba, qui est farba", which mean "Behold the man who is a bean". At the end, it's identical, but "Ecce" is changed to "Vale"; "Farewell, man who is a bean." Before and after the advert break (in the UK version), the lyrics are "Fin de partie primae" and "Pars secunda" - "End of Part One" and "Part Two". See more...
Updates:
Series 1
Mr. Bean In Room 426 (season 1, episode 11)
Continuity: When Mr. bean is sleeping on his bed, you can see his teddy bear's head. In the next shot after the nightmare, the teddy bear's head is gone.
Revealing: When Bean silences the guest in room 427 after they were playing loud music, he accidently locks himself out. Later when Bean crawls under a carpet past his room to hide from a kissing couple, room 427 has changed into a fire exit (you can see the room number has been replaced by a fire exit sign).
Factual error: Bean kind of 'squeezes' the TV remote control in some shots to switch the TV on/off or change the channel but doesn't press the buttons on the keypad. On this type of remote control (it's a JVC one by the way), the large blue button is the power button, but it never gets pressed.
