commorancy

Lead - S10-E15

Character mistake: Elliot Stabler is interrogating a suspect and he says "Well maybe he got pissy because of the 2.2 you blew into the breathalyzer." He said two-point-two but he meant point-two-two because a 2.2 BAC is like 5 times the lethal limit, so a 0 .22 BAC makes more sense. (00:20:10)

Resilience - S4-E10

Factual error: In the intro scene, a girl attempts to jump under a train at what should be the West 4th Street station. However, the sign "Church Av" is visible behind the actors, revealing that this scene was actually filmed at the Church Av station in Brooklyn. This location is a common spot for filming subway scenes. Moreover, the train that arrives on the platform in this scene is an "N" train, even though the N train does not actually travel to either West 4th Street or Church Av. (00:00:21)

Manhunt - S2-E18

Visible crew/equipment: As two men chase after a kidnapper's SUV one actor's microphone is falling from his jacket, the actor trips and as he stands up he quickly tries to wrangle the microphone back up by its wire. (00:01:08)

Risk - S4-E12

Visible crew/equipment: After the Undercover Stabler hangs up the phone and explains the scheme to Cabot and Cragen, he passes in front of a mirror to sit. In the reflection of the mirror you can see a microphone hanging overhead. (00:25:40)

Inheritance - S3-E8

Audio problem: Benson and Stabler are searching Darrel Guan's room. When Stabler picks up the bloodstained pants, Benson 'says', "blood" but her mouth doesn't move. (00:28:05)

Name - S7-E7

Continuity mistake: When Detective Stabler is questioning Carlos Guzman at the pool, Guzman puts the drain cover on in the pool and walks towards Stabler. The camera goes to Stabler and back to Guzman, and the drain cover in the background is off.

Paternity - S9-E9

Other mistake: An ambulance, when Kathy Stabler gives birth to the baby, Olivia says the baby's a girl. In the hospital, when Elliot gets to Kathy's table's room, she tells him the baby's a boy.

Suggested correction: Rewatch, please. In the ambulance, when Kathy is in the midst of the last few pushes to get the baby out, Olivia is watching the delivery over Kathy's shoulder, being supportive. With Kathy's last push, Olivia repeats, "Good girl, good girl," which is directed at Kathy to encourage her (timecode 00:39:20). Then, when the baby is out, Olivia excitedly exclaims, "It's a boy!"

Super Grover

A Single Life - S1-E2

Visible crew/equipment: As Olivia and Elliot are talking to the medical examiner about the cause of death of their victim, an overhead microphone is blatantly visible. (00:11:18)

Revealing mistake: After M.E. Warner tells Fin and Munch the boy was smothered to death, you can see the foot of the "dead body" twitch or move.

Blinded - S9-E7

Visible crew/equipment: After Picard headbutts Stabler into the car window and runs away, Benson runs over to comfort him. As she cradles him, the reflection in the side of the car shows the camera person filming as the shot gets closer. (00:14:05)

Blinded - S9-E7

Visible crew/equipment: As Stabler is bringing Saul Picard to the cop car after finding him in the park, a large boom mic is visible in the reflection of the car's window as Stabler opens the door. (00:13:40)

Mother - S5-E3

Visible crew/equipment: Stabler and Benson are with Christina in the interrogation room. Christina stands up to look out the window. Shortly after, she walks away from Stabler towards the foreground camera. As she does this, an overhead microphone is briefly visible in the mirror on the left. (00:35:55)

Spousal Privilege - S16-E8

Question: Why was A.J. only charged with reckless endangerment? The video showed him punching Paula in the back when she's climbing the stairwell, getting punched in the face by A.J. and then being dragged away unconscious. Shouldn't he have been charged with either aggravated assault or assault and battery instead considering how violent he was?

Answer: I didn't see the show so I don't know the details. A general answer would be because a reckless endangerment charge is easier to prove "beyond a Reasonable Doubt" in court and get a conviction. This charge would not require the prosecutor to prove intent, which would be required for proving aggravated or simple assault. Also, if there were no visible injuries, it is difficult to show bodily injury. Just because the reckless endangerment charge was specifically mentioned, it does not necessarily mean there were not other charges filed. Police often make multiple charges, like lesser-included offenses, so that the defendant's act will fall under one of them if the legal requirements are not met for the others, if they are not sure of the best charge to make (the district attorney knows and can decide), or to have something to plea bargain with.
