Trivia

Throughout this episode, Pastor Dan and Eric constantly talk about how Star Wars (1977) is the greatest movie ever made and quoting some parts of the movie. It's easy to notice that Pastor Dan is played by Billy Dee Williams, who is well known for his role as Lando Calarissian in two Star Wars movies, The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). Season: Whole show  1  2  3  4  5  6  All

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: Season 7 Episode 7 "Mother's Little Helper" When Kitty is showing Red "The Joy Of Sex" in the kitchen, the book goes from open to shut instantly between shots.

The '70s Pilot (season 1, episode 1)

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Eric gets the keys to the Vista Cruiser, when Red and Kitty leave the room, you can see that the door to the living room is wide open, but before when they were telling him the responsibilites of owning a car, it is closed. No one had gone through the door during the entire scene.

Mistake Continuity: When Red throws the keys to the Vista Cruiser to Eric, you can see he (Eric) catches them with both hands clasped together, then the camera cuts to show Red and Kitty (with the back of Eric's head) you see now that his right hand is clenched in the air, then it cuts again and his hands are clasped together again. He could not have moved his hands that quick.

That Wrestling Show (season 1, episode 15)

Mistake Factual error: Red takes the gang to a World Wrestling Federation event; in the '70s, it was the World Wide Wrestling Federation

Prom Night (season 1, episode 19)

Mistake Factual error: In the scene where Kitty and Midge are talking about work there is a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the counter. The logo that is on the box was not used on Krispy Kreme boxes until the mid 80's.

Punk Chick (season 1, episode 22)

Mistake Continuity: This episode was supposed to air before 22 (1x22) "The Water Tower", because in this episode where Eric tries to talk some sense into Hyde about moving to NY he speaks of "we were going to paint a pot-leaf on the water-tower" something they already did in the episode before.

Hyde Moves In (season 1, episode 24)

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Kelso enters Jackie's room (the second time) when she is sick, she throws the teddy bear at the door. When Kelso enters there is a shot of the bear in front of him at his feet. The scene changes to only show him from the waist up (he never moves) and then changes to a longer shot where he is still seen. The bear, once at his feet, is nowhere to be seen. The shot then changes to Jackie and back to the longer shot of Kelso. The bear is now behind Kelso's feet.

Donna and Eric Sleepover (season 2, episode 8)

Mistake Continuity: The design of Forman's Spider-Man sheets are of the Spider-Man from the late 1990's cartoon.

Hyde's Father (season 3, episode 3)

Mistake Continuity: When Donna sees Eric in the driveway, and they apologize to each other, her two braids have a mind of their own as they move up, down, and every which way, as she and Forman speak.

Roller Disco (season 3, episode 5)

Mistake Revealing: When Jackie and Fez are doing their Roller Disco routine, it becomes very obvious that doubles are used for many of the routines. Fez does a lot of his own stunts but Jackie does very few. While they do a decent job of hiding the stunt doubles, there are several times when you can see the faces of the doubles and it is obvious it is not Mila Kunis or Vilmer Valderama. And you do not need slow motion or stop action to see the difference.

Canadian Road Trip (season 3, episode 23)

Mistake Factual error: Season 3, episode 23: A map of Canada appears behind the guys as they're being questioned by the Mounties. The province of Nunavut, which was not officially drawn until the year 2000, appears on the map, and definitely did not exist in 1978.

Bye-Bye Basement (season 4, episode 5)

Mistake Continuity: Hyde must have gone into the future to get his Spiderman pillowcase because it has the Spiderman logo from the 1990's on it, not the 1970's one.

Donna's Story (season 4, episode 8)

Mistake Continuity: Jackie enters the basement and say: "Oh my God Donna, great story." while she is holding the newspaper by the sides. In the next shot, while the gang is laughing, she is now holding it by the bottom.

Eric's Hot Cousin (season 4, episode 14)

Mistake Continuity: When Kitty asks Red for a cat Red is reading a copy of Time magazine. He closes the magazine and puts it down on his knee while he tells her why he doesn't want a cat in the house but in the next shot the magazine is back in his hands and open to where it was before he closed it.

Class Picture (season 4, episode 20)

Mistake Factual error: During the episode, it goes back to 1968 and in the closing credits Eric is listed as being 7. However, he can't be because in 'Eric's Birthday' it was 1976 and he had turned 17. Thus in '68 he would have had to be 8 or 9 (depending on his birth) but certainly not 7.

Everybody Loves Casey (season 4, episode 26)

Mistake Factual error: The gang keeps referring to the theme park 'Great America' as "Six Flags." Up until the 80's the park was actually Marriott's Great America. There is no other Six Flags theme park in the area. - from Wikipedia "Marriott Corporation began construction on the park in 1974, and opened it in 1976 as "Marriott's Great America". In 1984, the park was purchased by Six Flags Corporation, becoming the 7th Six Flags park."

Over the Hills and Far Away (season 5, episode 6)

Mistake Continuity: When the girls go to Marquette the signs say 'GO GOLDEN EAGLES', however before the mid-1990's Marquette's nickname was 'the Warriors'.

Misty Mountain Hop (season 5, episode 12)

Mistake Continuity: When Red and Eric were talking in the driveway there was a van right next to them. The tail lights shown on that particular model were only produced in the mid 80's and later.

Trampled Under Foot (season 5, episode 21)

Mistake Factual error: Kelso is wearing a t-shirt with Dirty Harry on it saying "Go Ahead, Make My Day". Sudden Impact was the first Dirty Harry movie to use that expression and that film didn't come out until 1983.

Magic Bus (season 6, episode 3)

Mistake Continuity: When Eric and Hyde are speaking while sitting on the couch, Eric's left leg is either over his right leg or under it, depending on the camera angle.
