A Shot in the Dark - S14-E9

Question: At one point when Brian says something, Stewie tells him to look into his pocket where he finds a paper reading what Brian just said. Then Brian says something about it and Stewie tells him to look into his other pocket, where he finds another paper reading what he just said. Then Stewie tells Brian to look into Chris' pocket, which has bottom cut off. Later in the episode Chris tells Brian to look into Meg's pocket, but Brian refuses. What was all this about?

Answer: So it started out with the fact that Stewie knew what Brian was going to say in this situation because Stewie sees Brian as predictable and pretentious while Brian thinks he's being deep and poignant. The Chris part was since the bottom of his pocket was cut out, Brian touched Chris' genitals. Later when they tell Brian to reach into Meg's pocket, he's didn't want to fall for the same gag and end up touching Meg's genitals.

Answer: I took it as an annoying bike-guy in general. Since professional or not, they're all annoying.

Answer: This occurs in a flashback where Peter is recalling a time Brian discovered his "hidden shame." In the memory, Brian is driving a car. Peter pulls up next to him on a bicycle. He is decked out in a full, multi-neon-colored lycra spandex pro bicycling get-up, with matching reflecting helmet and some kind of rear view mirror attached. The ensemble is complete with riding gloves and the latest athletic shoes. When Brian notices it's him, he exclaims, "PETER?!" To which Peter responds, "Brian, I'm sorry. I'm one of these guys now...I'm SORRY, Brian. I'M SORRY! (as Brian drives off, aghast) " By "these guys," Peter means the kind of guy who, though a casual cyclist and nowhere near professional level, still buys all of the latest riding clothes and gear, making him look silly and pretentious (in "Family Guy" terms, he looks like a "douchebag").

Michael Albert

Answer: Old people usually have poorly maintained butts for some reason. I work at a hospital, and it's the first place they check for sores.

Answer: He might've been on the show "Stabbed in the Butt", which was in a Family Guy cutaway.

Answer: Old people tend to be wrinkly. Stewie is a baby who doesn't understand that.

Answer: The other answer is wrong, Brian has shown a dislike for Quagmire - specifically because of Quagmire's dislike of him. Most likely Brian, who has shown feelings for Lois throughout the show too, is acting on his own feelings of guilt.

Answer: It is not that Brian and Quagmire both hate each other; it is actually just Quagmire who hates Brian, but Brian does not hate Quagmire. Brian tells Peter to move on from Quagmire's pocket dial because confronting him about it may result in him ruining his friendship and cause heartache for everyone involved.

Continuity mistake: After getting the uranium, Stewie places it in the time pad and then puts the pad in his jacket pocket. After being confronted by Hitler who promises to spare them if they sing a musical number, Mort interrupts them, and it's seen that he is now standing on the time pad.

Peter Griffin: You better watch who you're calling a child Lois. Because if I'm a child then you know what that makes you? A paedophile, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna stand here and be lectured by a pervert.

Trivia: In the shot of the Quahog Pest Control building you see a blue termite (Nibbles Woodaway) on the building. New England Pest Control in Providence, Rhode Island has the same bug on top of its building.
