Revealing mistake: In the scene were Mrs Doyle is listing the rude words and phrases used in one of Father Ted's favorite author's book's, she goes through all of them fine. Apart from the last one, when she says "Get your boll*cks out of my face" you can hear her laughing in the word "boll*cks" before she exits the room.
Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse - S3-E6
Continuity mistake: As Bishop Brennan Holds Ted up against the bedroom wall after he has broken in, the crucifix behind Ted's head goes from hanging crooked to hanging straight between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When Father Cave gets up to give his speech and he turns to Father Gallagher, you can see the boom mike move in the top left corner. (00:15:15)
The Plague - S2-E6
Audio problem: When Bishop Brennan calls for the first time at the start of the episode, Ted panics and pretends to be French before hanging up the phone. You can still hear Bishop Brennan talking on the other end of the line for a few moments after Ted hangs up, which obviously shouldn't be possible.
Revealing mistake: At the end when Ted flushes the toilet and kills the priest, we see an outside view of the priest and if you look at the bottom of his robes you can see a black square thing hanging down from the inside which must have been squirting the water out of his robes. Also to prove this, you are not able to see any water coming from the drain in the ground, which does not make any sense.
Continuity mistake: The lamps on either side of the door to the house are not there in some scenes - most noticeably in the opening credits, but in other scenes they are there.
Continuity mistake: When Terry MacNamee is talking to Father Ted on the phone on the island, his tie is blown over his shoulder. After a cut to Father Ted, his tie is hanging straight. After another cut, it is back over his shoulder again.
Night of the Nearly Dead - S3-E7
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the old women are grabbing at Eoin at the front door in one shot the top pane of the window on the left of the door is broken and an arm is coming through it, in another shot the bottom pane is broken and the top one is intact and arm is coming through the bottom pane and in the very next shot the top pane is broken again and the bottom one is intact again. Visible crew/equipment: When Ted is running along the beach, you can see the tracks made by the vehicle that is supporting the camera.
Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse - S3-E6
Continuity mistake: The first time Bishop Brennan inspects the skirting board, it is covered in black marks. The second time, there are none.
The Mainland - S3-E4
Continuity mistake: When Jack goes into the pub, it is dark outside, but when Ted and Dougal leave the caves, it is daytime, despite both scenes supposedly taking place at the same time.
Continuity mistake: Immediately before Ted and Dougal enter the fortune teller's tent, there is a scene which appears to have been shot much later in the day than those on either side - it's almost night time.
Other mistake: The bishop that Dougal talks to about religion being pointless is supposed to be Irish but when he is telling Ted about his change of heart, the actor's English accent slips back in for a few seconds.
Visible crew/equipment: In the fortune-teller's tent, just as Ted chooses his second card, the boom mic enters the frame above Dougal's head.
Continuity mistake: Father Dougal's hair changes position during the scene in the car, before they go on holiday.
Revealing mistake: When Jack's wheelchair is at the top of the cliff and about to fall off, it's obviously a stuntman and not Frank Kelly sitting in it. Similarly, when the wheelchair falls, the dummy used isn't even dressed like Jack. (00:14:25)
Visible crew/equipment: When Ted first brings the Golden Cleric display case into the living room, the studio lights can be seen in the reflection of the glass.
Continuity mistake: As Father Crilly is shouting at Father Jack "No, not your room, not your room." to get up out of the spare bed, watch closely and as Father Ted strikes him in the face, notice that his hand doesn't even touch his face, and his hand stops several inches away from his face, using only his reaction and the sound of a punch to illustrate a punch at all. Revealing mistake: In the bit where Bishop Brennan realises Ted did kick him up the arse, he runs up to Ted's house with his cape flying right out. The attachments holding up each side of the cape are visible.
