Audio problem: Jonesy is playing the organ. A pigeon 'flies' out the top of the organ and lands on the keys, so Jonesy picks it up and moves it, taking both his hands off the keys. Yet the music plays on.

Dad's Army (1968) - 15 mistakes in entire show
These mistakes are currently being ordered by rating.
Getting the Bird (season 6, episode 4)
Battle School (season 3, episode 2)
Other: When the train stops Godfrey gets off to relieve himself but when he is climbing back in to the carriage the train appears to be already moving at speed because the background projection started moving too early.
The King Was in His Counting House (season 6, episode 7)
Factual error: Captain Mainwaring is transferring money from his bank to another branch after it has been bombed. He has the money in a basket and is transporting it on a horse and cart when some of the money starts blowing out of the basket. Pike, Wilson, Walker, and Jones are riding bicycles behind him. They stop to pick up the money and just before Jones tells Pike to ride after Mainwaring to tell him about the money, you can see a silver car parked on the left hand grass verge in the direction Mainwaring is heading. This car was obviously made long after World War Two finished.
The Royal Train (season 7, episode 3)
Other: Wilson picks up the empty tablet bottle, but we hear the tablets rattling inside. Wilson then says 'it's empty, sir.'
Don't Forget the Diver (season 5, episode 2)
Factual error: While Capt. Square is looking through his binoculars at what he thinks is Mainwaring's platoon marhing with their rifles, a 1960's Bedford lorry drives past on the road behind them.
Time On My Hands (season 6, episode 13)
Continuity: When the second bottle thrown by Pike lands on the floor, the glass from the first bottle has all disappeared.
Battle of the Giants (season 99, episode 2)
Factual error: When Mainwaring is driving the van and Jones is in the back suffering from malaria, just after Pike shouts out that Jones has changed colour, if you look out the side window you can see a triangular road sign. These did not come into use until the 1960s.
Menace From the Deep (season 4, episode 3)
Revealing: When Frazer is attempting to get the chocolate out of the crane machine, he tells Mainwaring to keep quiet. When he does this, he takes his hands of the machine, and it picks up the chocolate on its own, without anyone controlling it.
Is There Honey Still For Tea (season 9, episode 3)
Character mistake: When Mainwaring and the others are discussing how to break the news to Godfrey about his cottage, it is mentioned that the roof is made of thatch. However when Mainwaring, Wilson and Pike go to visit Godfrey, the roof of his cottage can be seen and it is slate, with no thatch anywhere in sight.
Across whole show
Continuity: In early episodes the verger Mr. Yateman's wife's Christian name is Olive and in later episodes it has changed to Tracy.
Gorilla Warfare (season 8, episode 3)
Revealing: This actually happens throughout the entire show but is most obvious at the beginning of this episode: When they are in the churchyard it is obviously a studio stage, as there are shadows at all angles around the cast from the studio lights. Also, the lights are quite prominently reflected in Arthur Lowe's glasses.
The Test (season 5, episode 10)
Factual error: In several scenes during the cricket match while the Walmington platoon are bowling/fielding, cars can be seen on the road behind the cricket ground that were made well after the 1940s.
Everybody's Trucking (season 8, episode 1)
Factual error: The BSA motorbike and sidecar used by the verger is a 1950's model.
Battle of the Giants (season 99, episode 2)
Revealing: Just before the two vans drive round in circles, when Mainwaring has trouble with the gearbox, the shot from inside the van shows a house through the driver's window. But in the exterior shots there are no buildings around, just trees.
Broadcast to the Empire (season 99, episode 1)
Visible crew/equipment: When Pike moves across the vicar's office to open the door to let Hodges in the shadow of the mike can be seen on the wall.
