Mistake Continuity: In the episode "Bride of Ida", in the scene where the grandma is talking at the table with Reese and Malcolm, notice the bottle on the table next the the grandma, between takes the cork from the bottle goes from being on top of the bottle to next to the bottle, it changes in almost every different shot.

Mistake Continuity: Episode 111 Season 6 "Pearl Harbor" Lois and Jessica enter the house after coming back from going to a musical. As Lois comes through the door her purse slips off her shoulder and she catches it around her elbow. In the next shot a second later, the purse is back up on her shoulder.

Mistake Revealing: In season 5, second episode, in an imagination sequence Reese and Malcolm are throwing around Jamie, but you can see it is a doll.

Mistake Continuity: Season 6, episode 7: "Hal Sleepwalks"; At school, Dewey stops the shouting match between the two opponents. In the shots facing Dewey, the boy's arms are held way up high in front of him, but in the shots facing the kids, the boy's arms are down at his sides.

Mistake Continuity: Season 5, Episode 13, "Lois' Sister." When Susan arrives Hal is holding Jaime, and the baby's entire body changes position between shots repeatedly - in some shots the front of Jaime's body faces Hal, yet in others Jaime's back faces Hal.

Mistake Continuity: Episode 16 Season 6 "No Motorcycles." Francis calls Hal out to the driveway where two motorcycles are parked. In the first camera shot the motorcycles are parked side by side with the front wheels turned in the same direction. All subsequent shots of the motorcycles in the driveway show them in a different position, one angled behind the other, with the front wheels turned in opposite directions.

Mistake Continuity: In the Season 5 Episode, Goodbye Kitty, after Stevie becomes catatonic, a wrapper from a chocolate bar lands on his face, covering his glasses. The shot cuts and it's on his shoulder and then cuts again and it's on his face again.

Mistake Continuity: In the episode "Malcolm defends Reese" Hal shows Dewey that he fixed the microwave so that it works with the door open. There is a red cloth inside. Hal then shuts off the microwave and when he and Dewey start talking the cloth changes position from shot to shot.

Mistake Continuity: In the episode where Lois takes revenge on the four girls who pranked Reese, Lois and Reese use a makeshift catapult to launch paint balloons at one of the girls and her date. The first balloon hits the girl, covering her left shoulder with pink paint. In the shot where her date gets hit with a balloon, her shoulder is no longer covered in paint. Some of the paint blotches change size and shape on both her and her date throughout this scene as well.

Mistake Continuity: IN the Season 5 episode "Goodbye Kitty", when Malcolm is throwing the dodgeballs at Stevie, the number of balls in the bag changes between shots.

Mistake Other: When it is Dewey's birthday Malcom grabs a piece of the cake. It goes to Dewey then back to Malcom and he is chewing, but there is no bite in the cake.
