Perfect Mom (season 1, episode 7)
Continuity: In this episode we are (at the fashion show) introduced to Donna's mother for the first time. She is called on stage as Nancy Martin. In all further episodes she is known as Felice Martin.
Isn't It Romantic? (season 1, episode 10)
Visible crew/equipment: When the scene changes to Brandon, Brenda and Dylan going to the movies, look closely. You will notice Brenda waiting for Dylan in front of the movie theater. Then later, they show the exact same scene when she is waiting for Dylan to show up on their movie date. It's very quick, but the editors apparently didn't catch it.
Stand (Up) and Deliver (season 1, episode 17)
Visible crew/equipment: When Brenda is talking with Michael Miller, you can see a microphone come into the top of the frame.
Everybody's Talkin' `Bout It (season 2, episode 21)
Visible crew/equipment: When Kelly and her mother are having dinner with David and his father at the Japanese restaurant, a boom mic is visible above their heads.
Destiny Rides Again (season 3, episode 12)
Continuity: In this episode, Steve breaks into the school to improve his school grades in order to get into USC, because that is where his Dad went. But when the gang does go to college at CU, Steve's father is an alumni of that college not USC.
The Game Is Chicken (season 3, episode 17)
Other: When Dylan opens up his locker at school, he only turns his lock dial to the right.
Midlife...Now What? (season 3, episode 18)
Visible crew/equipment: When Jackie and Babette talk with Cindy about their "good old times," a boom mic dips into the shot.
The Child Is Father to the Man (season 3, episode 22)
Visible crew/equipment: When Dylan calls Kelly at the end of the episode, in the shots of Dylan, a boom mic is visible above his head.
Perfectly Perfect (season 3, episode 24)
Continuity: This is the first episode in which Kelly celebrates a birthday, and it is in March. A few seasons later, Kelly has another birthday, but this celebrated in one of the first episodes of the season and takes place when everyone has just returned from their summer excursions. This would put her birthday in September.
Senior Poll (season 3, episode 25)
Visible crew/equipment: When Kelly returns home after her talk with Dylan, a boom mic is visible above her head.
A Night to Remember (season 3, episode 27)
Continuity: At the pre-prom party, the head in Kelly's glass of champagne disappears. No time has passed, so it hasn't gone flat.
Moving Targets (season 4, episode 7)
Continuity: During the scene in the kitchen where Brenda is at the table and her parents are talking to her about Stuart and then ask her if she wants a piece of pie, her arms are out in front of her on the table at this point. A split second later (same sentence), a rear camera view now has her left arm up holding her chin. A split second later after that when she answers "no", the front camera view now has her arms on the table as they had been all long.
And Did It...My Way (season 4, episode 10)
Continuity: During the scene where David, Donna, and Andrea are in the casino and Andrea puts one dollar in a slot machine and hits the $500 jackpot, she screams and David tells Donna to get some buckets so that they may put all the coins in them. At that exact moment, they are interrupted by a security guard who asks them for their id's and when he figures out they aren't 21, he asks them to hand over the buckets of coins. At this moment, David and Donna hand over at least one bucket of coins. However, between the time David told Donna to get the buckets and when the security guard questioned them, the gang did not (and had no time to) get to fill up any of the buckets full of coins.
Radar Love (season 4, episode 12)
Audio problem: During the scene where Dylan and Kelly excuse themselves from the Walsh Thanksgiving dinner to go argue in the frontroom, pay attention to the camera shot behind Dylan when he is telling Kelly that he "just happens to like Cindy's Thanksgiving turkey better than your mom's." His lips do not match what he is saying.
Emily (a.k.a. The Pink Pearl) (season 4, episode 13)
Audio problem: During the scene where John Sears and some of the keg brothers are telling Steve that one of his hazing duties is to steal Professor Randall's signed baseball, pay attention to the camera shot behind John Sears when he is taling to Steve - his lips do not match what he is saying.
The Time Has Come Today (season 4, episode 25)
Factual error: The diary that Brenda finds has a Precious Moments figure on the cover. Wendy, the character who owned it, wrote it between January 1968 (an entry mentions her new year's resolution) and August 1969 (when she attended Woodstock), but the company didn't exist under that name until the late 1980s.
Vital Signs (season 4, episode 30)
Continuity: Near the beginning of this episode Andrea is awakened at 3 A.M. by an alarm clock to take a pill to stop her preterm labor. Several times in the episode it is mentioned she must take the pill every 4 hours. Later the alarm goes off at 8 PM the same day and she says "time for the pill again that is not doing me any good". If the alarm went off at 3, 8pm doesn't fit the 4 hour timeframe.
Mr. Walsh Goes to Washington (2) (season 4, episode 32)
Audio problem: During the scene where David and Babyface are talking and Babyface asks David to fill in as one of the keyboardists for his carnival show, the camera shots going back and forth from both behind David and Babyface show them speaking, but it is very clear their words don't match their lip movements.
Under the Influence (season 5, episode 2)
Continuity: When Jesse takes Dylan's shot glass, he grabs it at the bottom, but in the next shot, he's holding it near the rim.
Up in Flames (season 5, episode 13)
Other: There was an error regarding the captions on this episode. When "I'm Gonna Get You" was playing at the rave, the captions displayed the lyrics for "Every Day of the Week." Then when "Every Day of the Week" was playing, the captions displayed the lyrics for "I'm Gonna Get You."
Sweating It Out (season 5, episode 17)
Visible crew/equipment: Brandon and Dylan are in their hotel room and Brandon is talking to Kelly on the phone. Right after she says, "Are you sure you two aren't shackin' up with some biker babes?" it goes back to Brandon and you can see a boom mic above his head. It then continues until about when Dylan walks out of the bathroom.
Hazardous to Your Health (season 5, episode 18)
Continuity: When Jonesy transfers Dylan's money out of the Cayman Island account, he is seen holding his hands around his neck. In the next shot he has his left arm down by his side and his right hand balled into a fist in front of his face.
Lover's Leap (season 6, episode 5)
Visible crew/equipment: When Brandon is talking to Val in the kitchen, right after he says, "She had her moments," you can see a boom mic above Val's head.
Angels We Have Heard on High (season 6, episode 15)
Other: In the scene at the Peach Pit where Rush tells Steve that he is his biological father, he shows Steve a copy of the birth certificate. Under adoptive parents, it lists Sanders, Rush and Sanders, Iris. Only Iris isn't Steve's adoptive mother, Samantha is. Iris is Dylan's mother who lives in Hawaii.
Nancy's Choice (season 6, episode 19)
Continuity: When Colin and Kelly celebrate his selling some of his artwork, the head in his glass of champagne disappears and then reappears.
Leap of Faith (season 6, episode 23)
Continuity: When they are watching Colin's car chase at television, Colin is wearing an orange shirt. But Colin was wearing a grey shirt before the car chase started, and he is also wearing a grey shirt when he is caught.
Remember the Alamo (season 7, episode 1)
Continuity: When Steve is talking to Valerie, after getting out of the shower, about coming home early to surprise Claire, you can see shaving cream on his ears. When the shot changes to a side view of him sitting on the bed, he no longer has the shaving cream on his ears. When the shot changes back to looking at him head on, the shaving cream is back on his ears. This goes on for the entire scene.
Here We Go Again (season 7, episode 2)
Continuity: In this episode, a main story line revolves around Steve and Kelly's supposed first and only sexual encounter, at the beach club while they were in high school. Sorry, but the early episodes made it clear that they slept together many times while dating, and the first time was in Steve's room while his mother was being interviewed downstairs.
Continuity: When Donna talks to David about their childhood, Donna's hand moves from stirring her drink to resting on her arm between shots.
Lost in Las Vegas (season 7, episode 10)
Character mistake: When he arrives at his hotel room in Vegas, David is surprised that Ray is performing at one of the casinos. But at the beginning of the episode, Steve told Brandon that Ray was performing, which suggests going to see him was part of their plans. So either (1) Steve shouldn't have known Ray was performing there, or (2) David shouldn't have been so surprised.
Unnecessary Roughness (season 7, episode 16)
Factual error: At the Peach Pit After Dark, David and Tom are preparing for Super Bowl weekend. But the Super Bowl is played at the end of winter, and the gang is all about two weeks away from graduation, which occurs at the end of spring.
We Interrupt This Program (season 7, episode 18)
Continuity: When Rusty leaves the CUTV news room, he has his backpack slung over his shoulder. In the following shot, he picks the bag up off the table and slings it over his shoulder again.
A Ripe Young Age (season 7, episode 22)
Visible crew/equipment: When Clare enters the beach house to find Kelly with Joey, a boom mic briefly dips into the shot.
Spring Breakdown (season 7, episode 24)
Continuity: When Brandon talks to Jim at the bar in Hong Kong, Brandon's arm moves instantly from resting on the tabletop to holding his beer glass.
Brandon Leaves (season 9, episode 5)
Continuity: When Noah is showing Valerie around his parents' home, you can see that Valerie is wearing strappy black sandals. When Noah and Val walk into the kitchen, Valerie's shoes have changed to full black platform shoes (no straps).
The End of the World as We Know It (season 9, episode 23)
Plot hole: Noah cancels the club's scheduled Monica concert because Dylan pays him to have her give a private performance to Dylan and Gina instead. He seems really excited and proud of himself for some reason. Even if Dylan paid him much more than he would have received from the gate (which is likely), this could cost Noah money in the long run. Many customers would probably get angry and decide to stop frequenting a place that would cancel a concert at the last minute for no good reason. Then again, Noah was never exactly a genius - in business or otherwise.
