Across whole show

Mistake Revealing: In the episode with Raymond's diary, Marie makes like she is reading from Raymond's diary, however from the angle that she's holding it, it's obvious that there's no writing on the page except for a standard header on every page. Raymond also doesn't write anything when she asks him to amend the entry.

Mistake Continuity: In the episode when Ray gets Debra To kill a Mockingbird, Frank says "I killed a bird once." But in the thanksgiving episode Frank gets mad when Amy's parents kill the bird and says he would never kill an innocent creature.

Your Place or Mine? (season 1, episode 7)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Ray tells Frank that they have to talk and Ray goes to sit down, visible camera equipment can be seen for a second at the top of the screen.

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: On Ray's house, the small window at the base of the stairs is not seen in the outside view typically shown before and after commercial breaks.

I Love You (season 1, episode 2)

Mistake Continuity: Debra is sitting up in bed holding a magazine and talking to Ray. She quickly puts the magazine down in her lap as she says something to Ray but then in the next shot, she's holding the magazine up again.

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: Throughout the series when the exterior of Ray's house was shown there are steps leading to the front door. In one episode Ray's mother drives a car through the wall and when she drives off there are no steps. Where did they go?

The Ball (season 1, episode 12)

Mistake Continuity: In this episode, Ray says that his dad had the sex talk with him when he was 14, but in another episode, Frank talks about how he never had the sex talk with Ray and Robert.

The Tenth Anniversary (season 4, episode 16)

Mistake Continuity: In this episode, it is snowing outside but in "The Wedding Pt1" the date that they book for the reception is on the 17th of June.

I Love You (season 1, episode 2)

Mistake Continuity: During Ray and Frank's discussion on saying "I love you" in the bathroom, the grout design on the wall and the towels in the closet behind Frank change back and forth.

The Disciplinarian (season 7, episode 15)

Mistake Continuity: During his discipline fiasco Ray sends the twins, Michael and Geoffrey, to their beds at noon. Depending on the camera angle, one twin (who lies closest to the camera) has his head atop his pillow at the middle of the bed, and in other shots that pillow is much further back near the headboard and the boy's head lies on the blanket.

The Gift (season 2, episode 9)

Mistake Continuity: In this episode, Frank celebrates his 65th birthday but in "Debra Makes Something Good" he says he is 64 years old.

Ping Pong (season 3, episode 13)

Mistake Continuity: When Ray is yelling at the kids for throwing his golf clubs down the stairs, two stuffed animals fall down from the shelf. After Ray is done lecturing the kids, you can see the animals are back on the shelf when it shows Raymond talking to Debra.

The Nice Talk (season 8, episode 19)

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": In this episode, Ray tells Amy's mother that Debra no longer reads his column, although she did when they were dating "and she was wooing me." But in an earlier episode, Ray proposed to Debra in his very first column - so when they were dating, he didn't have a column.

Robert Moves Back (season 3, episode 25)

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the episode when everyone is arguing in the kitchen, the potholders next to the lasagna on the table keep changing position between shots.

The Toaster (season 3, episode 12)

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Throughout the episode lighting reflections can be seen in the toaster, which is most noticeable in the opening and when they are at Bloomingdales.

Ray's Journal (season 5, episode 14)

Mistake Continuity: In the episode "Traffic School," Robert notes that when he was young during a family trip he was left at a gas station in New Mexico. But in "Ray's Journal," he says that he was left at a gas station in Arizona.

Frank Paints the House (season 5, episode 24)

Mistake Continuity: Inside the kitchen, the back door is perpendicular to the sink's wall. On the outside, the door is part of one continuous wall.

Turkey or Fish (season 1, episode 10)

Mistake Factual error: It's Thanksgiving and Ray and Frank want to watch football. Ray's Mother In Law changes the channel to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. But these programs are not on at the same time. The Parade always ends at about noon. The first game starts at about 1:00 and the second game starts at about 4:00.

Bully on the Bus (season 4, episode 13)

Mistake Other: When Ally comes home from school, and opens the door, there is brown carpet outside where grass should be.

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: In "The Suitcase" Ray says he bought wooden spoons and forks. In other episodes the spoons and forks are metal.
