Plot hole: On 3/15/05, Jack picks up the phone in his house and calls Jennifer's cell phone. Unfortunately, before he can tell her what's going on, the Jennifer impostor knocks him out and tells Jennifer that it was a wrong number. Continuity: On 1/20/04, John mentions to Brady that Tony framed him for murder years ago and sent him to death row. But that's not true at all. We now know that it was really Andre, Tony's identical cousin, who did that. Plot hole: On one show after Shawn finds out Belle lied to him, Belle is alone in her apartment having a flashback of Shawn proposing to her earlier that night. We hear Shawn's voice proposing, yet the camera shows a scene of Rex looking at an ad for 25% off rings.

Plot hole: On 6/8/04, when Marlena first saw Victor on Melaswen, Victor told her all about how Jan tried to murder him under Nicole's orders. Then, in May of 2005, Marlena finally returns to Salem and soon has several civil encounters with Nicole, as if she doesn't know that the woman conspired to commit murder. She also fails to denounce Jan, even though Marlena's daughter's best friend Mimi could greatly benefit from such a revelation since she currently stands accused of attacking the woman. Continuity: At the very end of the 11/24/03 episode, Marlena remembered that she ate the vegetable dip right before she collapsed; it is poisoned. At that moment, Hope takes some dip on a carrot and walks past Bo as he confronts Rex. She moves the snack to her mouth and the shot freezes. At the beginning of the 11/25/03 episode, the scene is replayed. Marlena again remembers the dip connection and Hope again takes some dip on a carrot. Factual error: On the 11/11/03 episode, Phillip is on the computer at the police station, searching to see if the serial numbers of Rex's mask matches the killer's mask. Problem is, he should be able to tell right away that they aren't the same masks. They have a video image of the killer killing Maggie and his/her mask has three holes above the eyes and eight holes near the mouth. Rex's mask only has two holes above the eyes and six holes by the mouth.

Factual error: Throughout the serial killer plot in the fall of 2003, Celeste often dealt tarot cards. The Death card turned up very frequently, and it was always treated as though it actually meant death. I can see how a layperson could make this mistake, but Celeste should know that the Death card simply represents transformation and is not an omen of doom. Submitted by DavidK93

Continuity: At the end of the 10/16/03 episode, Brady and Philip began to fight in Salem Place. At the same time, Will left the apartment after hearing Sami and Lucas saying they wished he'd never been born, and Victor told Nicole they were going to leave the mansion and go for a walk at Salem Place. The scenes were replayed at the beginning of the 10/17/03 episode, as they usually are, but there was a big discrepancy in the timeframe. While Brady and Philip went through the exact same scene as they began their fight, Sami and Lucas had already spent some time looking for Will around town, and Nicole and Victor had made it down to Salem Place for their walk. Plot hole: On 4/5/05, Rex surprises Mimi on the roof with a romantic dinner. He also plays Jesse McCartney's "Beautiful Soul," which Mimi identifies as "their song." Factual error: On 10/1/04, Lexie told Brady that John and Bo had been "declared dead by the government". But in terms of Salem time, the plane crash had occurred on the previous day. For starters, any salvage operation lasts for several days, and they certainly wouldn't have been declared dead while that was still in progress. In any event, it takes three years before a declaration of death can be obtained, and that has to be done by the next of kin, who in this case weren't even informed of their loved ones' deaths until after the declarations had already been made. Revealing: On 10/9/06, John entered the storage facility and reached towards the light cord. He formed a fist, as if grasping the cord, but his hand was actually several inches from it. Plot hole: When Zack Brady was hit by a car and severely injured in January of 2006, Dr. Lexie Carver urged Bo and Hope to take him off of life support as Zack had no chance of recovery. To encourage them towards this decision, she pointed out that Zack's liver might be a match for Claire Kiriakis, a baby who was dying of liver failure. However, Lexie failed to mention that liver transplants can be done from live donors because the liver regenerates. Dr. Carver would certainly have known that. Submitted by DavidK93

Continuity: On 1/6/05, one of the police officers said that the paint on Bo's SUV matched the residue on the curb. However, Zack was hit just after he stepped out from between two parked cars. Therefore, there would have been no residue on the curb at the accident site. Submitted by DavidK93

Continuity: At the end of the episode on 11/15/05, Roman was at Marlena's penthouse. He told Alex to leave. Alex responded that he was just trying to help Marlena. Then Alex went to leave, but Marlena asked him to stay. At the start of the 11/16/05 episode, Roman called Kate from Chez Rouge and told her that a police emergency had called him away, and that he was now at the restaurant. Back at Marlena's penthouse, the conversation was continuing uninterrupted, with John asking Marlena why she wanted Alex to stay, and Alex's story then continuing from where it left off. But if enough time had passed for Roman to deal with a police emergency and then settle in for a leisurely evening, how could the conversation at the penthouse have been at a complete standstill? Since Roman had been in the penthouse with them, and then called Kate who was still in the penthouse, Roman is still tied to the timeline of their storyline thread. Continuity: Ever since Bo and Billie learned that their supposedly stillborn daughter Georgia might be alive, they've repeatedly talked about how she would be sixteen years old now. When they received a package that supposedly contained Georgia's hair, it was labeled with a birth date of 5/22/9-, with the last digit hidden by Bo's thumb. Plot hole: During the week of 9/6/04, Patrick delivered Jennifer's baby, and wrapped the infant in his own red shirt. Eventually, the baby was wrapped in a receiving blanket, and Patrick was wearing the red shirt again. Continuity: On 7/13/04, Jan Spears was at Belle's loft as an invited guest for the first time. She walked straight back from the front door to the opposite wall and opened the window there. Mimi, sitting in a window at Rex's loft, saw Jan and reacted with great alarm.
