The Simpsons

New Kid on the Block - S4-E8

Revealing mistake: When Homer sees the Frying Dutchman ad, he blisses and lean backwards. This is exactly the same shot from "Bart's Friend Falls In Love", when Homer is watching a program about chocolate on TV, only the frame is flipped.

Tree House of Horror XII - S13-E1

Audio problem: In 'Wiz Kids,' when Edna asks Harry Potter if he is chewing gum, he replies "No ma'am, it's brimstone," however it's clear that a different line was originally intended.

Hamster

Grandpa vs. Sexual Inadequacy - S6-E10

Continuity mistake: Homer leaves the Simpson house to go to the farm house in the station wagon, and when he parks in front of the farm house he's driving his pink car.

The Simpsons Christmas Special: Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: When Marge is speaking on the phone to her sisters, her sisters say something that sounds like they said that Homer is ugly. Marge then puts down the phone wire that she was curling round her finger. It is easier to see this when you are using DVD, because then you can go into slow-motion, but you can temporarily see that the phone wire disappears when Marge puts it down. It is at the very end of an early scene, because as soon as this happens it changes to another scene.

Children of a Lesser Clod - S12-E20

Continuity mistake: When Ned Flanders is asking Homer wheather or not he is running a day care centre, you can see that there is a radio behind him. The aerial on it changes position in subsequent shots.

Dead Putting Society - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: When the Flanders and Simpsons first meet at the golf course, Flanders is wearing his usual long-sleeved green sweater over his shirt. After Homer says to him, "The fruit of my loins can beat the fruit of your loins any day of the week", the color of Flanders' sleeves are missing, making it look as if he's wearing a sleeveless pullover.

And Maggie Makes Three - S6-E13

Plot hole: Bart comments on Homer's extreme reaction when he realised Marge was pregnant with Maggie. In the next flashbacks, when Homer reacts in the same way to hearing about Bart and Lisa, they are shown in the house at Evergreen Terrace both times. In Series 4, in the episode Lisa's First Word, they show that the Simpsons did not move to Evergreen Terrace until just before Lisa was born. Other episodes have also shown that Homer was with Marge at Doctor Hibbert's when she found out about her other pregnancies.

He's My Brother

There's Something About Marrying - S16-E10

Audio problem: In the episode where Homer is hosting gay marriages, at one point Homer is strangling Bart and tells Lisa to hold his spot. You can hear Lisa say, "Why you little," and you can hear Bart choking, but neither of their mouths is moving.

Jack Kaltenbach

Bart Gets An F - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: Bart's 1st grade drawing of cat on the fridge changes across the episode, especially its ears and whiskers.

Homer vs. Dignity - S12-E5

Plot hole: In the last part of the episode, when Mr Burns is trying to convince Homer on his float to play a big prank, the timing is totally wrong. Firstly, Lisa sees the writing 'Happy Pranksgiving' on the side of Mr Burns' float way before it reaches her, and it takes Mr Burns ages to change into the Father Christmas outfit.

Whacking Day - S4-E20

Continuity mistake: Millhouse is in the classroom at the beginning when Principal Skinner says that superintendent Chalmers is coming for a surprise inspection, but when they show Nelson he is getting crud put down his shirt. How could he be at two places at once?

Timothy Smith 2

The Cartridge Family - S9-E5

Continuity mistake: The right handle plate on Homer's gun is fastened with two screws throughout the entire episode. But in the scene where he promises Marge to get rid of the gun and they hug in the kitchen, the gun is seen lying on the table with only one screw in the handle.

Twotall

Bart's Inner Child - S5-E7

Revealing mistake: When everybody is in a big fight at the Do What You Feel Festival, watch out for a man in an orange shirt with black hair. His left eye keeps disappearing for one frame.

OL1V3R666

On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister - S16-E11

Continuity mistake: For "On a Clear Day, I Can't See My Sister": Throughout the episode, the backyard alternates between having a fence at the end and a forest at the end.

Itchy & Scratchyland - S6-E4

Continuity mistake: Homer's two hairs over his head are dishevelled when the family arrive at Itchy and Scratchy land due to whatever has happened on the detour - however, it suddenly changes to being like he normally has it in the last frame that shows the family in the car, before the car park is shown.

Grandpa vs. Sexual Inadequacy - S6-E10

Other mistake: Look closely when the clerk scans the books. Ueberroth is a brown book, and Al Gore's book is green. The book that sends the message to Al Gore is the Ueberroth book.

Homer's Night Out - S1-E10

Audio problem: Both Lenny and Carl's voices are wrong. At one point Carl's voice is higher pitched, and Lenny keeps speaking like Moe, or like a voice we haven't heard before.

He's My Brother

Lisa's Rival - S6-E2

Continuity mistake: The position of Ralph's Star Wars action figures changes the two times they show his diorama.

Grift of the Magi - S11-E9

Continuity mistake: When Millhouse is being chased outside by a sun ray, the ray burns the pavement. It then turns around, and you can see the pavement is now no longer burnt.

Hamster

Bart After Dark - S8-E5

Continuity mistake: When Helen and Reverend Lovejoy are singing to Belle, in the big song, Principal Skinner and Apu are standing behind them. In the next shot, they've disappeared.
