New this month Factual error: Lisa is singing "One (Is the Loneliest Number)" and looks up the composer to find out that he "died of a heart attack suffered on Valentine's Day." Although Harry Nilsson DID suffer a massive heart attack on 14 Feb 1993, he didn't die of heart disease until 15 Jan 1994.
New this month Continuity mistake: As Chief Wiggum is being interviewed about the fugitive, his arm is shown to be in a cast due to the police van crashing at the Krusty Burger Drive-Thru earlier on. Yet when they get to the hospital, his arm is completely fine.
Continuity mistake: Lewis changes from black to yellow when Milhouse dares Bart to pull Santa's beard off.
Revealing mistake: After Homer brings Santa's Little Helper home, Homer and Marge hug, and if you look behind them, the background is upside down. There is a picture hanging upside down, and there is a lamp which seems to be hanging from the ceiling. Then in the next shot, the background is normal.
Continuity mistake: While having breakfast, all of the Simpsons' glasses of orange juice keep disappearing and reappearing throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: In series 17, episode 2, at the end of the episode where Homer is on the field talking to Buck the baseball player, the stadium is crowded. When Homer and Marge are leaving in their baseball golf car one second later, the stadium is empty.
Continuity mistake: When Homer walks out Circus of Values with his purchases, he bumps into Flanders, and all the presents scatter everywhere. Watch out for a red present with a green bow that goes flying near the left hand side of the screen. As soon as it hits the ground it turns into a pink box with a white bow wrapped around it, with no shot changes.
