Plot hole: When Andy, Phoebe and Prue are in the attic figuring out how to vanquish the ghost of Alcatraz, pages starts flipping, the book opens up to the page where the truth spell is, and Andy finds out that Prue cast that spell on him. Later when he asks how much time Prue gave him to react, she says "a minute or two". But in the episode "Truth is out there" (1-8) it was first in Prue's office when she told him, and the clock on the wall shows that it's 25 past 5. And it was 8 o'clock when Prue cast that spell. So few hours later when Andy and Prue are at Andy's door, it's almost 8 o'clock and Prue says she needs the answer now. So doesn't Andy have more like few hours rather than few minutes to react?
Character mistake: In the beginning, Prue and Phoebe are in the alleyway and they kill The Guardian with a sharp object to The Guardian's rune. The bad guy, Emilio, is lying unconscious on the top of the dumpster. A few scenes later, Phoebe and Prue are discussing why they should or should not help Cole prosecute, and Prue says something along the lines of, "And Emilio saw us use our powers". Since Emilio was unconscious, he could not have seen them use their powers.
Continuity: Kit the cat shows up in Something Wicca this Way Comes (Episode 1,1), as the girls' familiar once they have received their powers. It is obvious that the cat just showed up by comments made by the girls, along the lines of "where did this cat come from" (not literally). However, in Pre-Witched (Episode 3,17), they make the same kinds of comments about Kit just showing up in this episode, which is suppose to have happened 6 months before Episode 1,1.
Continuity: In the scene with Paige and Jordan Bridges' character, nearer the end, when they are sitting on the couch and his possessed character leans in for a kiss, from the back shot, he leans in and his head is tilting towards his right shoulder (you see part of his profile and the back of his head and Paige's face); when they change the shot so you see the front of his face and the back of Paige's head, his head is tilted back towards his left shoulder.
Continuity: Right after the Hawker demon attacks, Piper picks the baby up and the head of the doll is covered and you can't see the face; a quick change in camera angles shows the baby's face and the blankets are all arranged and folded to frame the baby and no time has elapsed to allow this to happen. Also, the doll used as the baby double is much smaller than the baby and is very noticeable in shots that switch back and forth between the covered doll and real baby.
Continuity: In the scene when Paige and Piper are doing first aid on each other, Piper makes quite a production out of the business of peeling the backs off band aids to apply to Paige's arm - but when she slaps it on Paige's arm, it's a non-adhesive white 4 x 4, which Paige has to hold on her arm with her other hand.
Plot hole: When Grams is summoned for Chris's wiccaning, she reminds Piper of "the talk" they had when she was a teenager, about how important and special being a witch was to Grams and how it would be to the girls someday. But in the first episode, the girls have no inkling they are witches, and when they find out it's passed through the maternal line, they wonder if Patty or Grams was a watch-suggesting that they aren't sure or have no memories of them as witches. I know there was some memory altering at certain points, but why would Grams have a conversation specifically about how great it is to be a witch and then erase that?
Other: In both scenes in which Phoebe's hair is cut, her hair is up, with very little loose hair. There is no way that the amount of hair shown to be cut in both scenes could have come from her head. In the first scene, it is very clear when the demon cuts her hair, it is a few tendrils, yet when he is shown with Imara, it is a very measurable amount of hair. The super speedy guy who cut her hair the 2nd time, when she was Imara, was too quick to see the actual amount cut, but again, because of her hairstyle, he could not have cut the amount he shows to the Charmed Ones in the next scene.
