Sticky Wicket - S1-E21

Other mistake: When Hawkeye walks into the shower tent while Ugly John's showering he removes his robe, and just as Hawkeye swings open the door to step into the shower stall we can see that he's wearing something, presumably a swimsuit.

Sticky Wicket - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: After the opening credits it cuts to Hawkeye, Trapper, Radar, and Ugly John playing poker in the Swamp and they're all wearing their uniforms when they run out to the incoming choppers, but what we see next is the same footage from the Pilot that's shown in the opening credits, with Hawkeye and Trapper wearing Hawaiian shirts as they meet the choppers.

Dear Dad, Again - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: During the charity no-talent night, when the curtain opens on the Swinging Surgeons we can see Radar using a set of brushes on the drums, but in Radar's closeups he's using drum sticks, then in the wideshot it's back to the brushes again.

Love Story - S1-E14

Visible crew/equipment: After Radar tells Margaret that she's needed in the post-op ward Frank sneaks toward Margaret's tent, and when it cuts to Margaret walking into post-op, at the start of the shot we can see the two actors' curved chalk foot marks on the floor.

Love Story - S1-E14

Other mistake: After Hawkeye asks, "Radar who?" while he's kissing a nurse, it cuts to Trapper, Radar, and Hawkeye walking past a jeep parked in front of the mess tent, then another jeep shows up with Lieutenant Anderson, but both jeeps have the same stain (looks like rust) on the front bar - the same jeep was used in both shots.

Henry, Please Come Home - S1-E9

Other mistake: While Radar's in post-op waiting for Henry's arrival he's seen reading Marvel Comics "Captain Savage and His Battlefield Raiders!" issue #10, published January 1969. It's one of the 19 issues in this comic book series which were originally named "Captain Savage and His Leatherneck Raiders," and it ran from 1968 until 1970, many years after the Korean War ended. This comic is also seen in the episode "Tuttle" later this season.

Chief Surgeon Who? - S1-E4

Other mistake: At the end, after General Barker tells Henry that he should give Frank a high colonic and send him on a 10 mile hike, Klinger shows up in front of them supposedly naked, but we can see the top of whatever the actor's really wearing.

Super Grover

The Bus - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: The "KILROY" Hawkeye writes on the window as BJ looks out was in the center with his fingertip. Later, as Hawkeye looks out, the "KILROY" is now closer to the frame, and the lettering is different, a small capital A in front of it, and lines above and below it.

Movie Nut

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: This episode has the heater in Henry's office in front of the window, and the wall by the window blank. Later the stove is by the window, with the diploma by the stovepipe.

Abyssinia, Henry - S3-E24

Trivia: There were no American planes shot down over the Sea of Japan during the Korean conflict. It is rumoured that producer/director Larry Gelbart knew that, but wrote Henry Blake's death scene as he was very unhappy with the way Mclean Stevenson had left the show, and was determined to make it clear that there was no way he would be coming back.

That's Show Biz - S10-E1

Question: Talking with stripper Candy Doyle, Potter remarks that he still remembers how she used to spin her tassels and that he is reminded of this every time he sees a C 42 revving up. On the net I do find references to a C40A, a C47 and others, but no reference to an aircraft of the time called a C 42. What would he have been referring to?

Answer: The C-42 was a military variant of the Douglas DC-2. Very few C-42's were built, so it's questionable that Potter would specifically have seen that particular model, but, given his military background, it's not entirely unreasonable that he might use the military designation even when the aircraft in question is actually a civilian DC-2.
