Frasier (1993) - 721 mistakes in entire show
starring David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, John Mahoney, Kelsey Grammer, Peri Gilpin (add more)
Across whole show
Continuity: Frasier is based on the character originally created on Cheers. In Fraiser, he lives with his father who is a retired police man. On Cheers, Frasier once mentioned his father was a scientist. It's also worth noting that in one episode of Cheers, John Mahoney, who was to later play Frasier's dad, turns up as a pianist. Frasier also said on Cheers that his father was dead. When Ted Danson made a guest appearance on Frasier, Frasier admitted that he had lied about his father since the two had been arguing so much.
Deliberate "mistake": The background of the street scene from Frasier's apartment balcony shows cars and other vehicles but they are always standing still.
Continuity: Across the show, Marty is supposed to be about 21 years older than Frasier (he turns 65 in season 5). There are at least two problems with his age - Frasier is supposed to have been born in March 1952 and in Season 5 (Roz and the Schnoz) Marty mentions going on shore leave as a single guy in 1952. Even if he was confused about the year, Frasier didn't call him on it. He must have done just a short stint in Korea as he was already a cop when he met Frasier's mother - they met at a murder scene, and he must have been 20 years old at the most. She was already a full fledged psychiatrist.
All of series 1 (season 1)
Revealing: The view from Frasier's apartment shows the Space Needle prominently in the background, however, the elevator that takes visitors from the ground to the observation deck is frozen in time midway to the top. This was corrected after the first season.
The Good Son (season 1, episode 1)
Continuity: Near the end of the show, when Roz is telling Frasier about Lupe Velez, the wall clock in her booth shows the time to be 3:45. About 5 minutes pass, although the story only takes a couple of minutes, and there is no other action in the scene. The clock actually goes backward after that, showing 3:50 and then about 3:48 in the next shot.
Continuity: During the first episode of Frasier there is a painting of some vases in Frasier's apartment which is at the end of the hall leading on to Daphne's room. In this episode the painting has a red and purple background, however in 'Here's looking at you' (S1, 2 mins 52 secs) the exact same painting is now red and blue. It remains this new colour for the entire 11 seasons.
Continuity: At the beginning of the show, when Roz is telling Frasier the mistakes he's made, the clock shows 4:52. However, after she says "you kept referring to Jerry.as Jeff", the clock is reading 4:50.
Continuity: In the scene where Daphne first comes to the apartment, the beer can and remote control on Martin's side table change positions between shots.
Continuity: When Martin lies back in the chair for the first time, it changes how slanted it is in the first two shots.
Continuity: When Daphne first arrives at the apartment and is complimenting Martin's chair, his plate moves around on the side table between shots.
Space Quest (season 1, episode 2)
Continuity: Frasier (and later the others) come back to his apartment to avoid the rain - they shake off umbrellas, and we even hear the storm at the very start of the scene. However there's no rain on the balcony - can't be covered, as we see in "call me irresponsible" during the obligatory sex scene that when it's raining the balcony gets soaked.
Dinner at Eight (season 1, episode 3)
Continuity: When Frasier and Niles are eating the steaks at the restaurant that Martin brought them to, in some shots you can see Frasier's baked potato, and in others from the same angle it is not visible.
Continuity: In the scene where Niles meets Daphne for the first time she is folding laundry and is holding a tee shirt that switches back and forth from being over her arm to being held in her fingers while they talk.
I Hate Frasier Crane (season 1, episode 4)
Continuity: During the opening credits, Frasier is playing the piano and Martin is going through papers on the table. When Marty says "I don't know, Eddie, must you?" there is something pink lying on the table. The shot goes back to Eddie and then back to the table, but the pink item has disappeared.
Continuity: While Martin is saying grace, Eddie is sitting right on his backside staring at Frasier, who yells "will you stop staring!" The next shot, from behind Eddie, shows him noticeably leaning over on one haunch, even though there was no time for the change.
Continuity: Before they begin supper, Marty asks the boys if they still say a prayer before eating. His hands are clasped together in front of him, but in the next shot they are folded over each other.
Continuity: While Daphne is making psychic predictions about Marty's murder case, there is a pencil lying under some photos. In one shot the pencil has disappeared but it reappears again in later shots. The angle stayed the same.
Continuity: At the radio station, Roz waves her pencil at Frasier through the glass to wrap up his show; she has a KACL mug in her other hand. The next shot shows her actually leaning over to pick up the mug, without enough time for her to have put it down in the first place.
Here's Looking at You (season 1, episode 5)
Deliberate "mistake": In the pilot episode, "The Good Son," Frasier has a telescope which is seen on his balcony. The telescope disappears for the next 3 episodes but in Ep. 5, Frasier gives his father a telescope as a gift. It remains as a prop for many seasons.
Call Me Irresponsible (season 1, episode 7)
Continuity: When Daphne is setting up the soft ornaments along the top of the fireplace for the Christmas photo, she is just putting the first one on the mantelpiece, then the shot changes and she is positioning the second ornament.
Continuity: As Catherine is about to leave Frasier's apartment near the end of the episode, you can see the white shirt she is wearing constantly changes between shots. At times it is hanging out very loosely and in other shots it is neatly tucked in and positioned to the right.
Continuity: When Katherine confronts Frasier in the hall at KACL, her purse strap is over her forearm. But when the shot goes to Frasier, from behind her, the strap is over her shoulder.
Beloved Infidel (season 1, episode 8)
Continuity: Near the start of the show, Roz is in her booth at KACL and takes out her lipstick and compact - we see her uncap the lipstick. Then Niles comes in an Frasier reintroduces them, and we see her uncap the lipstick again.
Continuity: Frasier is at the dining room table with Niles looking at Niles's childhood journal. He has his left hand ready to turn a page but in the next shot his hand is on the table, with no time for a natural shift.
Selling Out (season 1, episode 9)
Continuity: Frasier meets Bebe for the first time in the hall at KACL. She has her business card in her hand for part of the scene but after Frasier tells her he has a son, the card disappears - with no time for Bebe to have put it back in her purse.
Continuity: When Frasier and Niles are in the Cafe, Niles says something like "Why do you feel like that?" During this line Niles goes from putting sugar in his coffee to having the mug raised instantly.

Continuity: When the doorbell rings Martin leans over to put the cards down, you see him do it twice.
Continuity: When Linda opens her beer, her three piles of poker chips are arranged in a triangle. In the next shot, they are laid out in a line, but she has not moved them.
A Midwinter Night's Dream (season 1, episode 17)
Continuity: When Martin is giving Niles ideas on how to win Maris back, the food on Martin's fork changes between shots.
Plot hole: Niles makes up Frasier's couch to sleep in and when he lies down he lets out a yelp - and pulls a plastic pirate's hook from behind the cushions. Earlier Niles had appeared wearing a pirate's costume but at no point did he have a hook, nor did he go near the couch. His overcoat had been on the floor the whole time so it couldn't have come from there. It would have been difficult for it to get behind the cushions unless deliberately shoved there, which we never saw and makes no sense anyway.
Continuity: In the opening scene when Daphne and Eric are talking, the dish towel over Eric's shoulder is laid flat in some shots, and is twisted up in others.
Plot hole: Niles phones Frasier to tell him Daphne is staying at his place because of the storm. Frasier's phone is in its usual place on the room divider/bookcase behind Marty's chair. After Frasier and Marty leave to rescue Daphne, Niles phones again and Eddie is standing up on a chair staring at the phone. Only problem is, the phone is over on Frasier's desk, where there normally is no phone. If he did have a phone there, it is only a few feet from the other one, which makes no sense.
Continuity: The time on Niles' musical clock changes time suddenly and frequently between shots, once from 9.00 to 10.55 to 11.25 almost instantly.
Continuity: Early in the show Niles shows up at Frasier's in his pirate outfit. He has a plastic knife in his sash which changes position noticeably several times during the scene (without Niles touching it).
Continuity: At the beginning of the show, Niles, Frasier and Daphne are at Cafe Nervosa. Daphne is standing up talking to Eric the server and Niles gets agitated, and spills sugar everywhere. Eric throws down a dish towel so they can clean it up. The dish towel appears and disappears several times during the scene.
And the Whimper is... (season 1, episode 18)
Continuity: At the awards ceremony Frasier is being introduced to his rival Fletcher's mother. At one point Fletcher is holding his mother's hand but in the next shot their hands are nowhere near each other.

Continuity: Just after Roz puts Bebe's bag on the table at the Cafe, we see her back at the counter - there was not enough time for this to happen naturally.
Continuity: Early in the show, Frasier is sitting in Cafe Nervosa with Niles and Bebe, drumming on the table with the fingers of his left hand. In the next shot his hand is pulled in, lying on the table in front of him.
Continuity: Early in the show, at Cafe Nervosa, Roz comes in and Bebe asks her to get her some coffee. Roz returns with a paper bag which she puts down on Bebe's right. In the next shot Bebe stands up with it in her left hand, but there was not enough time for it to change from the right to the left naturally.
Give Him the Chair! (season 1, episode 19)
Continuity: Roz has just received a call about Marty's missing chair and as Frasier comes into her booth, she is writing it down. As she says "I found the chair", she hands him the paper - but she goes from writing to handing it to him with no time in between.
Continuity: Early in the episode Martin puts a piece of tape on the seat of his chair, before Frasier accidentally gets it thrown out. However later on when Frasier gets the chair back (and in later episodes) that piece of tape is missing. It's possible it was ripped off of course, but wouldn't Martin have replaced it again if there was a hole in the chair?
Fortysomething (season 1, episode 20)
Continuity: In the scene where Frasier and Niles are talking in Cafe Nervosa, the position of Niles hands and arms change a couple of times. At one point, while Frasier talks about the young woman he has met, Niles folds his arms in front of him but in the next shot to Frasier, we can see Niles fingers laced together - and then the shot returns to Niles with folded arms. They stay this way until another shot where he says "You were in a mall?" and his hands are suddenly on the table and one is lying over the other.
Continuity: When Bulldog is talking to Frasier in the booth a KACL, in one shot his left sleeve is pushed up his arm and his right sleeve is down to his wrist. In the next shot it's just the opposite - his right is pushed up and the left is down.

Continuity: Niles is leaving Frasier's with Daphne and as he says "it was a warm and friendly place", his raincoat strap goes from sticking out from his shoulder to lying flat on his chest.
Travels with Martin (season 1, episode 21)
Plot hole: Once the gang have arrived in Canada, Daphne is scared stiff of getting caught outside the USA. Marty explains they will just "smuggle" her back and Frasier and Niles are outraged at such deception. But to get into Canada, all of them would have had to declare their residence, birthplace, and reason for coming in. To get Daphne in in the first place, they must have lied. She would have had to show her passport as an alien. The Americans would have been allowed in without their passports, per diplomatic agreements. So the outrage of the boys makes no sense.
As well, the woman in the giftshop sounds decidedly American to me (I'm a Canadian)- but perhaps she was one of those "guest workers". Also she asks for Canadian dollars - if this was a spontaneous visit, would they normally have Canadian cash on them? They lay something on the counter when they leave, but never receive the photo.
Continuity: While Frasier is driving, Marty has the map on his lap. During this scene the map changes appearance and size from shot to shot even though Marty never opens it up.
Author, Author (season 1, episode 22)
Continuity: As Frasier and Niles are starting work on their book, Marty gets four snacks and a beer and sits down in his chair. He gets up and we see the two bags that were behind the beer and can of something are now in front of them. Marty never touched them during that time.
Frasier Crane's Day Off (season 1, episode 23)
Continuity: Martin and Frasier are having breakfast and Marty is making fun of Frasier's radio audience. My Coffee with Niles (season 1, episode 24)

Continuity: Marty is patting Niles on the shoulder, comforting him over the destroyed flour child. The next shot shows him patting him on the back near his collar, with no time for the change in position.
Continuity: Frasier and Daphne are forging signatures on the get well card. In one shot they both have their pens quite a distance from the card but in the next shot they are both writing, without enough time for the change.
Continuity: Niles is holding baby Nathan in the hospital and Arleen takes him back because he's crying - suddenly the blanket is up around his head even though it was hanging loose before.
Continuity: When Frasier and Daphne are copying the names into the new get well card, we see Daphne using a pen with an orange lid. She puts the lid on the pen and sets it down. In the very next shot she is writing with the same pen.
Continuity: Arleen the cab driver is in labour. She pushes her hair back with her hand in one shot, but in the next it is back on the steering wheel, without enough time for this to happen in real time.
Continuity: Near the beginning of the show, Roz takes a large get well card into Frasier's booth - she has some papers as well, which are on top of the card. She lowers the card and the next shot shows the papers are under the card, with no time for changes in position.

Continuity: About two thirds of the way through the show, Marty and Frasier are talking in the living room. Marty is sitting in his chair with a glass of milk. The Botched Language of Cranes (season 2, episode 6)
Continuity: About halfway through the show, Daphne, Roz, Niles, Frasier and Marty are all in the living room. Roz hands Frasier a piece of paper, which he takes and starts to unfold it - in the next shot, he is taking the paper again.
The Candidate (season 2, episode 7)
Continuity: The waitress brings Frasier his coffee just as Niles begins to say "Anyway," and she is back behind the counter as he finishes the word. There just wouldn't be enough time in real life to do this.
Adventures in Paradise (1) (season 2, episode 8)
Continuity: Bulldog is listening to Frasier talk to Madeline on the phone. Bulldog is holding the magazine under his arm, but in the next shot it is on top of the tape player and his hand is on top of it. There was no time for natural change.
Continuity: Frasier goes into his booth and puts down the magazine featuring Madeline with the page open. Bulldog comes in and looks at the page, and says how attractive she is. But it is definitely not the same page that Frasier had been looking at a couple of shots before.
Continuity: When Frasier comes into the living room, Marty's cigar box is open. The shot then shows Frasier talking to Eddie about his socks, and the cigar box is suddenly closed. At the end of the scene, the cigar box is open again.
Continuity: When Frasier is first looking at the magazine article featuring Madeline, we can see the page opposite the one he's looking at. The next shot shows a different page, even though he is supposedly looking at the same one, all the time exclaiming about how great she is.
Burying a Grudge (season 2, episode 10)

Continuity: When Frasier and Martin are leaving Artie's hospital room, Frasier has the door about one-third open. Just before they leave, though, as Frasier says "next time he'll stay longer", the door is open much wider. Nobody opened it wider during that time.
Continuity: During the scene where Martin is apologizing to Artie in the hospital room, the photo of Artie's wife on the bedside table changes position about 45 degrees while they talk.
Continuity: Martin is drinking a glass of milk which is between his arm and a bowl of chips. Suddenly the milk is sitting well to the left, even though he didn't touch it.

Continuity: As Frasier is leaving Roz's apartment, we can see her crutches behind her, leaning together and upright against the wall. In the next shot one has noticeably changed position but they go back to their original state a couple of shots later.

Continuity: While Niles is filling out raffle tickets on the coffee table, sometimes the envelope is on his left and sometimes almost completely out of sight on his right, although he never moves it around.

Eddie is sitting up and begging for it and while he is doing this we can see the distinct shadow of his trainer's hand and arm against the couch. Once Frasier gives Eddie the platter of meat, the shadow disappears.

An Affair to Forget (season 2, episode 21)
Plot hole: Why can Niles hear what Frasier has said when he is inside the sensory deprivation tank? The whole point of these are that you cannot hear anything happening outside, so Frasier's ranting shouldn't have been heard inside. Similarly, why did the writers even have this scene with Frasier trying to talk to "Maris" when she was supposed to be inside it? Clearly they didn't quite know how soundproof they are.

The Innkeepers (season 2, episode 23)
Revealing: I think there might be something wrong with the eels in this episode. They don't move in the tank, despite being alive and don't move when taken out either. Moreover, you cannot actually see any in the tank with one exception. Rubber replacements not up to standard obviously.
Continuity: Frasier is holding a plate of food in the kitchen, but after Roz comes in with the exploded cherries jubilee all over her, the food on his plate has changed completely. It could not have been affected by the cherries jubilee explosion as he had his back to the door when that happened.
Continuity: During the scene where Niles tells the chef to serve the souffle in a large bowl, there is a large bowl of food next to him with no utensil in it. When Niles says "Table Twelve is still waiting for their entree", there is suddenly a utensil sticking up in the center of the bowl.

Roz's purse also shifted from the couch to the little glass table during the shot change.
Continuity: After Frasier passes the pink box with the birthday cake over to Daphne the box is closed. But when the doorbell rings the lid is about halfway open, with no time for this change.
Continuity: Just before Frasier says "What I want is to be left alone", Roz, Niles, Marty, and Daphne are standing at the door. The shot goes to Frasier, and then back to them, and they have all changed positions, with no time to have done this naturally.
She's the Boss (season 3, episode 1)
Continuity: Kate is arranging things in her office and has placed a black and white box on her desk. As she is telling Frasier how she wants him to spice up his show, the box changes position by about 45 degrees although no one touches it.

Leapin' Lizards (season 3, episode 4)
Audio problem: Near the start of the show, Frasier is in the booth at KACL, and has told Roz off and is glaring at her through the glass. As the shot shows her face, however, we can see the reflection of Frasier in the glass - he is smiling and his lips are moving as though he is talking. However, there is no audio to match his speech.
Continuity: Martin and Daphne are laughing at Eddie who has taken a pill to calm him down - in one shot he has a paw up in the air, but in the next shot both paws are pointing sideways. The shot changes again, and Eddie is back in the first position. He had to time to change naturally.
Continuity: Eddie is sitting in Martin's chair while Daphne feeds him pate from a plate on Marty's table. At the same time she is scratching his ears. The shot changes, and without enough time for this to have happened naturally, Eddie is lying on the chair and Daphne has the plate in her hand.
Kisses Sweeter Than Wine (season 3, episode 5)

The Adventures of Bad Boy and Dirty Girl (season 3, episode 7)
Revealing: Frasier comes in complaining how workmen in the service elevator have dribbled chili dog on his foot. He is holding out his shoe saying "How ever will I get that stain out", and Eddie runs over and starts licking what we think is the shoe. Frasier makes a comment about dog saliva being the universal solvent. In fact, Eddie does not even touch the shoe, but licks the floor in front of Frasier. Obviously the floor was treated with something Eddie would enjoy licking up.
The Last Time I Saw Maris (season 3, episode 8)

Continuity: At the beginning of the show, while Noel is getting Frasier to sign his Star Trek petition, Roz puts a blue plastic cassette into the machine to Frasier's left. During the scene it changes to a black cassette, without anyone touching it, and at the end of the scene Roz walks off with a blue cassette in her hand.
Frasier Grinch (season 3, episode 9)

Continuity: At the beginning of the show, Frasier and Niles are in Cafe Nervosa and Roz comes in, with lots of Christmas gifts. She manages to unload them, take off her coat and get into a chair between the guys - all in a couple of seconds. It all happens too quickly for "real time".
Continuity: Frasier's in the toy store and another customer comes in with a carrier bag of educational toys he bought elsewhere. Moon Dance (season 3, episode 13)
Continuity: Early on in the show, Martin is trying to get Eddie to shake a towel off his head while Daphne stands behind the dog, folding laundry. In one shot she is standing with the folded towel over her arm; in the next shot she is folding it again. When she goes to the door, there is something red on top of the laundry basket, but when she returns the towel is back in the laundry basket (it's not the towel Marty put on Eddie's head: that's sitting on the coffee table).
The Show Where Diane Comes Back (season 3, episode 14)
Revealing: When the waitress brings Frasier his coffee, she tilts the cup quite a lot and you can see that it's empty.

Continuity: Frasier is in the kitchen and gets the sugar out to sprinkle over the profiteroles. As he starts shaking we get a wider shot and we see there is sugar all over the stove top, pastries, plate, and counter - way more than there should be for the amount of shaking going on.
Continuity: Diane is sitting in Frasier's apartment, at the dining room table, talking with him. Her hands are in her lap in one shot and then up in front of her in the next - in mid-sentence.
A Word to the Wiseguy (season 3, episode 15)

Continuity: The guy Niles and Frasier meet at the Cafe puts his coffee cup down twice between shots, after he has made the phone call and before he leaves.
Continuity: At the end of their meeting outside Cafe Nervosa, Jerome throws his red paper napkin on the table and they say their goodbyes. In the shot after he walks away there is no sign of the red napkin.
Continuity: Frasier is on the phone at KACL with Jerome's girlfriend and the reflection in the glass shows him raising his hand to his face, but the next shot returns to him - his hand is on the console. There was no time for him to have shifted positions normally.
Look Before You Leap (season 3, episode 16)
Continuity: As Frasier is saying "too often we shrink from doing things we really want to do", the shot goes to Roz, and we can see the reflection in the glass shows that Frasier's mouth and hand movements do not match what he is saying.
High Crane Drifter (season 3, episode 17)
Revealing: Near the end, in Cafe Nervosa, the guy that wants to sue Frasier gives Niles a push. Niles stumbles backwards, knocking over some chairs and the coat rack before falling down, taking the table by the window with him. If you look closely just before he hits the table, the woman sitting there (rather than moving out of the way), very subtly pulls on the table, so as to upend it so Niles can go down with it.
Crane vs. Crane (season 3, episode 19)
Continuity: Frasier is in Mr. Safford's study talking to him. As Frasier says "a little unconventional," his right hand goes up to his chin, gesturing. As Safford answers, Frasier's hands are grasped together in front of him, with no time for natural change.

Continuity: Bebe has just inhaled smoke from her purse and Frasier grabs it and puts it on his bookcase. In the shot before, there had been billows of smoke around them, but suddenly the air is clear and there is no smoke.
Frasier Loves Roz (season 3, episode 22)
Continuity: Niles is filming is father in his recliner, trying to record his life story for posterity. Marty fakes a heart attack or death - and lies back in his chair with his left arm by his side. In the next shot his arm is crooked up around his head, but with no time for him to have moved it.
Deliberate "mistake": About halfway through the show, Roz and Daphne are in the kitchen talking. Daphne pours water into the teapot - but there is no steam coming from the kettle, nor any sound of a boiling/just boiled kettle. No self-respecting Brit would make tea with water that wasn't boiling.
Continuity: Near the end of the show, Roz and Frasier are at the radio station, in his booth. There is a clipboard lying on the console to the left. Roz goes to her booth (without the clipboard) and Bulldog bursts through the door on the left. The clipboard has disappeared. Shortly afterwards Roz goes back into Frasier's booth and the clipboard is back where it was.
Continuity: When Roz and Daphne are in the kitchen, the tea cup turns about 45 degrees so we see much more of the flower pattern from the same camera angle. Neither of them touched it.

The Focus Group (season 3, episode 23)

Continuity: Frasier is having a glass of sherry, sitting on his couch, talking to Niles and Martin. As Marty says "let's go have dinner", Frasier throws his hands up - in real life he would have still had the sherry in his hands. There was no time for him to have put it down.
Continuity: When Manu pulls down the metal front over his kiosk, Frasier has his umbrella in his right hand. By the time Manu pulls it all the way down and catches his hand under it, Frasier's umbrella has shifted to his left hand, even though he never transferred it.
You Can Never Go Home Again (season 3, episode 24)
Continuity: Niles and Frasier are at Marty's old apartment and Niles sits down on the couch. Eddie is sitting next to him, staring. Continuity: Daphne is on the phone with her mother and has a dust rag in her hand. She holds out the phone towards Frasier and when the shot goes back to her, the rag is all bunched up in her hand - it has been loose before. There was no time for her to change it.
Continuity: Roz has a cassette in her hand as Frasier says "call-screening squelches all that," - and the next shot shows no cassette in her hand, without time for her to get rid of it.
The Two Mrs. Cranes (season 4, episode 1)
Revealing: The guy who plays Clive in this episode has one of the most appalling accents I have heard. He's apparently from Manchester, but sounds like a sort of cockney South African. His accent slips around all the time; it's very poor. I wouldn't normally submit it, but his is so shockingly bad I doubt anyone would be fooled into thinking he was British.
Plot hole: In this show Daphne's former fiance, Clive, shows up. They had been engaged for several years in England. However, in Series 1, episode 11 (Death Becomes Him), Daphne talks about never having had a serious boyfriend, and goes into some detail about how people tried to set her up with eligible men. As Daphne is open about everything else, there seems to be no logical reason for her to not mention she'd been engaged.
Continuity: Frasier is in the kitchen pouring mini chocolate chip cookies from a bag into a bowl while talking to Daphne. The motion of him pouring (and the sound) doesn't stop while he talks but when the shot changes the bag is on the counter next to him.
Continuity: While Niles, Daphne, and Clive are sitting on the couch talking, the large book on the coffee table goes from closed to opened during the scene, even though no one touches it.
Continuity: When Clive arrives at the apartment, he puts his coat over the front of the arm of the couch. As the scene progresses and Marty tells him about being an astronaut, the coat is suddenly on the back of the arm of the couch, even though no one moved it.
Love Bites Dog (season 4, episode 2)

Continuity: During the opening credits, Bulldog is on the phonein the hall at KACL and he throws a tennis ball at Frasier, who stumbles around trying to catch it. During the scene we see an extra behind Bulldog go into one of the rooms - but we see her do it again just a split second later - and the second time she has a paper under her arm, where she had nothing the first time.
Continuity: Bulldog goes into the booth towards the end of the show, and puts his gong and cowbell on the console to his left. When he says "attention, sports fans", the cowbell has suddenly shifted to being in front of him, even though he didn't touch it.
Continuity: Sharon and Bulldog are arguing about golf at Cafe Nervosa, and she has her arm outstretched on the table. As Bulldog says, "If we leave right now", her hands are folded together on the table, without enough time for the change.
Continuity: Just before Eddie drops his master's slippers by his chair, Marty moves his cane over to the other side of the chair. The handle is facing outward, but when the shot changes, it is now towards the couch, even though Marty didn't touch it again.
Continuity: When Frasier is in the men's room crying to Frasier about Sharon, he has toilet tissue in his hand which sometimes is bunched up and sometimes is hanging about 10 inches down, even though he never changes it.
The Impossible Dream (season 4, episode 3)
Continuity: When Daphne mentions she had a dream about a gymnast, she is looking at Frasier, but a quick shot change and her head is turned 180 degrees looking at Niles. This couldn't have happened in real time.
Continuity: Niles and Frasier are looking at books trying to figure out Frasier's dream. When Daphne and Marty come in the door, the shot shows that the book that was on the end of the table has moved quite a distance and is now in front of Niles.
Audio problem: As Frasier says, "Well, let's shoot it to the news," we can see his reflection in the booth, but his lips aren't moving as he speaks.
Continuity: Frasier is leaving the booth - Roz is standing there holding several tapes in her hand. When the shot goes back to her, she has papers in her hand and there's no sign of the tapes. In the next shot, the tapes are suddenly on top of the tape machine.
A Crane's Critique (season 4, episode 4)
Continuity: Martin goes out to a baseball game with a famous writer that Frasier and Niles admire. While he is out, they read one of his books he accidentally left behind. When the author returns, he ends up holding the pages of the book in his hand, whilst standing in front of the fireplace. Continuity: While Marty and Daphne are watching the basketball game on TV, he says "it's completely different", the remote suddenly appears on the table beside him; it wasn't there before and wasn't in his hand. A couple of shots later, when he yells "unbelievable!" it's gone again.
Continuity: When Martin first finds out how Niles cured the basketball player, Niles is getting a drink, and Martin is in his chair. During the shots between them, the remote control on the table next to Martin instantly rotates between angles at least twice.
A Lilith Thanksgiving (season 4, episode 7)
Continuity: When Lilith and Frasier are at Dr. Campbell's (the first time), he makes them tea. A shot shows him preparing it, pouring it, etc. But in the next shot, Frasier and Lilith are already holding their cups. There was not enough time for him to have passed them the cups.
Continuity: Frederick appears in the kitchen to talk to his parents, who are ignoring him. In one shot he is covered with spots and in the next, he only has about half as many. He is supposed to have hives, which I know can appear and disappear quickly, but these look nothing like hives in the first place.
Our Father Whose Art Ain't Heaven (season 4, episode 8)
Continuity: Martin and Frasier are in the restaurant and Marty says "you're eating light" as Frasier has his menu up at chest level. The next shot, without enough time for change, shows the menu lowered several inches and held at a different angle.

Continuity: In Frasier's apartment, Sherry has just been introduced. Marty has a glass of wine down on the dining room table, next to another one. In the next shot the glass has shifted considerably, but the camera angle has remained the same.
Continuity: When Sherry tells the boys she's a sleepwalker, she has her bag slung over her right shoulder. In the next shot, without time for change, she is holding the bag in her left hand.

Continuity: At the beginning of the show, the KCAL gang are in Frasier's apt. celebrating the SeaBee awards. Bulldog is gloating about his win. At one point he has his left hand out in front of him and up in the air - the next shot the same hand is behind his back.
Continuity: At the beginning of the show, we see Marty add some beer to his champagne glass until it's almost full - just then Bulldog grabs his SeaBee award from the coffee table and now Martin's glass is almost empty, even though he's had no chance to even take a drink.
Three Days of the Condo (season 4, episode 11)
Continuity: Frasier and Daphne are talking about the condo board lady leaving pink slips for Marty. There is a pink slip on the credenza which moves several inches towards the couch without either of them moving it.

Continuity: Daphne and Martin are at KACL with Roz and Frasier, talking about flu shots. Then Marty starts talking about McGinty's and suddenly there is a clipboard on the console that wasn't there before, and wasn't put there during their conversation.

Continuity: While Marty is reading Daphne's novel to her, his beer can moves from one side of his table to the other, without him touching it.

To Kill a Talking Bird (season 4, episode 14)
Continuity: At the beginning of the show the spoon in the custard dish on Martin's table shifts from side to the other from shot to shot.
Other: It seems very out of character for Niles, who is so obsessed with cleanliness, to be happy with having a bird flying loose in his kitchen.
Continuity: Niles has his dog over at Frasier's. He sits down on the couch and the dog is facing the door. The next shows the dog standing about two feet away and facing the balcony - and the third shot shows her back in the first position. There was no time for her to change positions naturally.
Roz's Krantz & Gouldenstein are Dead (season 4, episode 15)

Continuity: When Roz and Frasier are in Bebe's office, and Frasier is exclaiming about her taking digitalis, the water glass in front of her is empty. The rest of the shots show it being about half full, even though she never refilled it, and there was no water source to be seen.
Continuity: When Roz begins her mock interview with Frasier, Niles is holding the microphone in her direction. After she says "from Bellingham", he moves it to the left for Frasier's answer. But the next shot shows that the mike is still pointed at Roz, and then we see Niles move it to the left again.
Continuity: When Frasier and Roz are in his kitchen talking about audition tapes, sometimes he is holding a glass of sherry and sometimes he is not; it is not a case of him putting it down, as the scene goes to quickly for that. During the same scene, Roz's beer switches hands, and there was no time for that either.
Continuity: In the same scene where Bebe's hands change position from shot to shot, and Frasier is warning Roz about Bebe having no reflection, Frasier's hands on Roz's arms change as well. In some shots his hands are on her upper arms, in others they are on her lower arms.
Revealing: Bebe is in the booth telling Frasier how she misunderstood him about Roz. As she says "wink", we can see Frasier's reflection in the booth's glass - his head bobs up. The next shot we see, though, is of Frasier's head bobbing up - shot at the same time, we just see it a split second later.
Continuity: When Frasier, Roz and Bebe are arguing, Frasier says something like "she has no reflection." When he says this you can just see Bebe's hands in the shot and they are clasped together. In the next shot they are instantly quite far apart.
Ham Radio (season 4, episode 18)
Continuity: The gang is reading through the script and Roz cues Bulldog and as she does we can see Gil has his script opened up on his knee. As the shot goes to Bulldog, Gil's script is now folded over and his pencil is in his right hand. He wouldn't have had time to change position.
Continuity: At the play run-through in the apartment, Gil is holding his script with a couple of pages folded back. The shot changes and as he says "romping with my school chums", the script is closed with no pages folded back, even though he had no time to change them.
Continuity: The gang from the radio station is at Frasier's rehearsing for the radio play - Gil is sitting to the right of Marty's little table - he leans towards the table and puts his hand around a bottle of water but in the next shot he is pulling back from the table with a pencil in his hand, not the water. At the same time Bulldog, next to him, while Gil is reaching for his water, is holding his own water in front of him. When Gil pulls back with the pencil, Bulldog's arm is pulling his arm back from the left too.
Continuity: At the beginning of the show, Frasier is sitting with Martin and Niles in Cafe Nervosa telling them about the radio play. As Marty says "we were a simple people", Frasier manages to open his briefcase, take out the script, put it on the table, and put his briefcase back on the floor and be sitting still - all in about 3 seconds. This just wouldn't be possible in real time.

Continuity: At the beginning of the show, when Niles and Frasier are in Cafe Nervosa, the man behind them has a paperback book which is open with all the pages fanned out, and then it is lying flat, then fanned out again, and so on. It is not a case of him changing the book naturally, as the positions of other things in the shots change slightly as well.
Continuity: As a waitress walks from the back of Cafe Nervosa to give Frasier his show tickets, the tray under her arm flips 360 degrees so that at first we see the cork side and then we see the metal underside when she reaches him.
Continuity: Frasier and Daphne are on the elevator; Daphne has a bag of groceries. In some shots several inches of a loaf of French bread is seen, but when she gets off the elevator the bag is sealed up with no bread visible. The bread becomes visible again in later shots as they talk at the door and go into the apartment.
Continuity: Daphne has the bag of groceries on the floor between the coffee table and the couch - when Stephanie leaves the apartment the loaf of bread is sticking out on the left side but when Marty comes into the living room, the bread is now on the other side of the bag and leaning to the right.
Continuity: Frasier's plastic container of veal rotates about 45 degrees between the time Stephanie gets up and the time she reaches to door - and no one touches it during those few seconds.
Continuity: Sherry is about to tell Frasier and his date a joke - Marty and she have their arms around each other - the first shot shows her large orange purse is over her shoulder (between them) and behind her but the next shot shows it still between them, but in front of her - simply impossible to have changed its position so quickly.

Continuity: When Martin and Shelly are having a fight, Frasier puts a small bag down, which is yellow on one side and has a logo on the other. He puts it down with the yellow side facing us, and for a several shots it stays like that. However, when Martin is talking about "things that bugged me," you see the bag has inexplicably rotated so the logo is now facing us.
Continuity: At Cafe Nervosa, while Roz is praying her old school mate won't recognize her, there is a crumpled up red napkin on the table. When he comes over to talk to her, it has magically disappeared.
Three Dates and a Breakup (2) (season 4, episode 20)
Continuity: As Frasier pushes Sherry towards the balcony, we can see a gold decorative thing on her green purse. In previous shots to this, the gold piece didn't show, because the other side of her purse was facing out. At no time did she turn the purse around.
Continuity: Niles and Frasier have drugged the rottweilers with some of Maris' pills and Frasier points towards the french doors and says, "The dogs are getting drowsy."
