[Martin sees Frasier has a lot of cuts on his face from shaving.]
Martin: I thought you were just going to slit your wrists. Looks like you went for death by a thousand cuts.
Frasier: I cut myself shaving because I was shaving without water. Why was there no water? Because I had to move your chair, which gouged the floor, which made me call for Joe, who found bad pipes, which called for Cecil, who ate the cat that killed the rat that LIVED IN THE HOUSE THAT FRASIER BUILT!!
Trivia
During the show's eleven year run, there have been many celebrities who voiced the callers on Frasier's radio talk show, but are uncredited; most phoned in their lines, instead of recording at the studio. On the DVDs, the list of each season's celebrity phone voices are noted after the season finale. Some celebrities included: Mary Tyler Moore, as Marjorie, who couldn't confront her boss; Christopher Reeve, as Leonard, an agoraphobic who was afraid of wide open spaces; Matthew Broderick, as Mark, who liked to see himself on stores' video cameras; Elijah Wood, as Ethan, who got beaten up at school for being smart, and then insulted Frasier's answer; Ben Stiller, as Barry, who couldn't stop crying long enough to even talk about his problem; Ron Howard, as Stephen, who heard people talking to him through his radio; Carrie Fisher, as Phyllis, who had insomnia (Frasier fell asleep while on air, before he heard her problem) and Frasier advised, "Things will look better in the light of day, my advice is to sleep on it."; real-life husband/wife Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, as the married couple Larry and Sophie, who wanted a few of her girlfriends to come over on Super Bowl Sunday, but Larry refused unless Frasier was actually able to answer a football question on air; and many other enjoyable ones. Frasier (1993) - 56 mistakes in season 1
starring David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, John Mahoney, Kelsey Grammer, Peri Gilpin (add more)
Continuity: During the first episode of Frasier there is a painting of some vases in Frasier's apartment which is at the end of the hall leading on to Daphne's room. In this episode the painting has a red and purple background, however in 'Here's looking at you' (S1, 2 mins 52 secs) the exact same painting is now red and blue. It remains this new colour for the entire 11 seasons.
Continuity: Near the end of the show, when Roz is telling Frasier about Lupe Velez, the wall clock in her booth shows the time to be 3:45. About 5 minutes pass, although the story only takes a couple of minutes, and there is no other action in the scene. The clock actually goes backward after that, showing 3:50 and then about 3:48 in the next shot.
Continuity: Frasier (and later the others) come back to his apartment to avoid the rain - they shake off umbrellas, and we even hear the storm at the very start of the scene. However there's no rain on the balcony - can't be covered, as we see in "call me irresponsible" during the obligatory sex scene that when it's raining the balcony gets soaked.
Continuity: During the opening credits, Frasier is playing the piano and Martin is going through papers on the table. When Marty says "I don't know, Eddie, must you?" there is something pink lying on the table. The shot goes back to Eddie and then back to the table, but the pink item has disappeared.
