Daphne: It makes me glad we don't have so many guns in England.
Frasier: You don't need guns, you have kidney pie.
Trivia
During the show's eleven year run, there have been many celebrities who voiced the callers on Frasier's radio talk show, but are uncredited; most phoned in their lines, instead of recording at the studio. On the DVDs, the list of each season's celebrity phone voices are noted after the season finale. Some celebrities included: Mary Tyler Moore, as Marjorie, who couldn't confront her boss; Christopher Reeve, as Leonard, an agoraphobic who was afraid of wide open spaces; Matthew Broderick, as Mark, who liked to see himself on stores' video cameras; Elijah Wood, as Ethan, who got beaten up at school for being smart, and then insulted Frasier's answer; Ben Stiller, as Barry, who couldn't stop crying long enough to even talk about his problem; Ron Howard, as Stephen, who heard people talking to him through his radio; Carrie Fisher, as Phyllis, who had insomnia (Frasier fell asleep while on air, before he heard her problem) and Frasier advised, "Things will look better in the light of day, my advice is to sleep on it."; real-life husband/wife Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, as the married couple Larry and Sophie, who wanted a few of her girlfriends to come over on Super Bowl Sunday, but Larry refused unless Frasier was actually able to answer a football question on air; and many other enjoyable ones. Frasier (1993) - 115 major mistakes
starring David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, John Mahoney, Kelsey Grammer, Peri Gilpin (add more)
Across whole show
Space Quest (season 1, episode 2)
Continuity: Frasier (and later the others) come back to his apartment to avoid the rain - they shake off umbrellas, and we even hear the storm at the very start of the scene. However there's no rain on the balcony - can't be covered, as we see in "call me irresponsible" during the obligatory sex scene that when it's raining the balcony gets soaked.
Dinner at Eight (season 1, episode 3)
Continuity: When Frasier and Niles are eating the steaks at the restaurant that Martin brought them to, in some shots you can see Frasier's baked potato, and in others from the same angle it is not visible.
Roz and the Schnoz (season 5, episode 21)
Continuity: Roz and Frasier are in Cafe Nervosa near the start of the show and her sunglasses are on the table. However, in a shot over Frasier's shoulder, they are not there anymore. They reappear in the next shot.
Across whole show
Continuity: Frasier is based on the character originally created on Cheers. In Fraiser, he lives with his father who is a retired police man. On Cheers, Frasier once mentioned his father was a scientist. It's also worth noting that in one episode of Cheers, John Mahoney, who was to later play Frasier's dad, turns up as a pianist. Frasier also said on Cheers that his father was dead. When Ted Danson made a guest appearance on Frasier, Frasier admitted that he had lied about his father since the two had been arguing so much.
All of series 1 (season 1)
Revealing: The view from Frasier's apartment shows the Space Needle prominently in the background, however, the elevator that takes visitors from the ground to the observation deck is frozen in time midway to the top. This was corrected after the first season.
The Kid (2) (season 5, episode 4)
Continuity: During the scene where Frasier and Roz are talking at her apartment, the mug that had been sitting on a tray moves off the tray and is sitting right on the table.
An Affair to Forget (season 2, episode 21)
Plot hole: Why can Niles hear what Frasier has said when he is inside the sensory deprivation tank? The whole point of these are that you cannot hear anything happening outside, so Frasier's ranting shouldn't have been heard inside. Similarly, why did the writers even have this scene with Frasier trying to talk to "Maris" when she was supposed to be inside it? Clearly they didn't quite know how soundproof they are.
Frasier-Lite (season 11, episode 12)
Visible crew/equipment: Frasier is on the phone at KACL and the caller says "hello" - we can see a reflection moving in the glass, someone walking, between Frasier and Roz. There is no guest on the radio show, and no reference to anyone in the booth.
I Hate Frasier Crane (season 1, episode 4)
Continuity: During the opening credits, Frasier is playing the piano and Martin is going through papers on the table. When Marty says "I don't know, Eddie, must you?" there is something pink lying on the table. The shot goes back to Eddie and then back to the table, but the pink item has disappeared.
Roz, a Loan (season 6, episode 9)
Continuity: Frasier and Niles are talking to Marty about the spa. As they speak, the magazines on the coffee table shift about 6 inches even though neither of them touch them.
High Holidays (season 11, episode 11)
Continuity: Towards the end of the show, Frasier is explaining to Niles how he was stood up that evening; at the same time he is getting himself a glass of sherry. Niles says, "there was no emergency", we see Frasier repeat the actions to get a glass of sherry all over again.
Across whole show
Deliberate "mistake": The background of the street scene from Frasier's apartment balcony shows cars and other vehicles but they are always standing still.
Something About Dr. Mary (season 7, episode 16)
Continuity: When we first see Daphne's wrist brace it is on her right arm. In the end credits its now on her left arm.
Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moskowitz (season 6, episode 10)
Continuity: Niles and Marty are in the kitchen and Niles is coaching Marty on how to pretend to be Jewish. While they are talking, the lid on the sugar bowl goes from being on properly to being askew, even though no one touched it.
The 1000th Show (season 5, episode 5)
Continuity: Near the start of the show Marty brings two green mugs over to Daphne at Cafe Nervosa, gives her one and keeps one for himself. We see his hand on the mug but in the next shot the same hand is on his knee.
Crock Tales (season 11, episode 22)
Other: This is for the episode "Crock Tales" (the 22nd of the season). Almost all the flashback sequences are wrong in time. The one from 2003 has Niles and Daphne coming back from their honeymoon but they married in 2002. Although not ever couple take their honeymoon directly after they've married, the wedding episode "Ring Cycle" mentions them going on their honeymoon.
You Can't Tell a Crook by His Cover (season 1, episode 15)
Continuity: When Frasier and Martin are looking at Frank examining the bowl, the cards on the table change position.
Bla-Z-Boy (season 9, episode 7)
Continuity: When Frasier and Martin are yelling at each other about the mess on the carpet, Marty is holding a red plastic oil container. In one shot there is a noticeable dribble of oil on it, but in the shots before and after, it is clean.
High Holidays (season 11, episode 11)
Continuity: When Frasier asks Martin "Where are your pants?", Marty is holding the ice cream carton underneath, but when the shot changes and he answers, "In the fridge", he is holding the carton by the side.
