Frasier

Perspectives on Christmas - S5-E9

Continuity mistake: Daphne gives Marty a brightly coloured sweater for Christmas and after he opens it, he puts it back in the box - the yellow sleeve is hanging out. After he says "all that makeup on my face", the sweater has changed position and there is a red portion hanging out of the box. No one touched it in the meantime.

The Ski Lodge - S5-E14

Continuity mistake: Frasier is holding a bottle of bubbly during the scene when he, Niles, Daphne, Annie and Guy are in Niles's bedroom. As he walks to the door, he is holding it towards the bottom but when the shot changes he is suddenly holding it around the neck.

Motor Skills - S8-E11

Continuity mistake: Frasier has a college catalogue that he takes over to the phone to call for information. Between the time he puts the catalogue next to the phone to the time he makes his call, the page changes, even though he doesn't touch it.

The Zoo Story - S5-E12

Continuity mistake: At the start of the show, Frasier is standing at the counter of Cafe Nervosa counting out bills. The next shot shows him reaching into his back pocket, without enough time for this to happen naturally.

The New Friend - S8-E7

Continuity mistake: Frasier is talking to Luke in the restaurant early in the show. Luke's hand switches its position several times from shot to shot - from one hand on the table to both hands on the table and then back again.

Our Parents, Ourselves - S6-E12

Continuity mistake: At the end of the restaurant scene, where Frasier, Roz, Martin and Roz's mother are eating, Frasier puts his crumpled-up napkin on one side of his plate, but at the end of the scene it has mysteriously switched to the other side without being moved by anyone.

The Impossible Dream - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: Niles and Frasier are looking at books trying to figure out Frasier's dream. When Daphne and Marty come in the door, the shot shows that the book that was on the end of the table has moved quite a distance and is now in front of Niles.

Flour Child - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: Niles is holding baby Nathan in the hospital and Arleen takes him back because he's crying - suddenly the blanket is up around his head even though it was hanging loose before. (00:21:45)

Father of the Bride - S7-E2

Continuity mistake: Roz and Daphne are standing in front of the elevator talking about the wedding. Daphne is holding Frasier's choice of a bridesmaid's dress. In one shot, Daphne is holding it over her arm, but when she turns toward the door, with no time to change position naturally, she is holding the dress by the hanger.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Roz is talking to Frasier, Gil, and Bulldog at KACL and has her hands in front of her, with her mug in her left hand. In the next shot, as she says "everyone at her last station was scared to death of her", her mug is in her hand tucked up under her arm - with no time for her to change positions naturally.

She's the Boss - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Kate is arranging things in her office and has placed a black and white box on her desk. As she is telling Frasier how she wants him to spice up his show, the box changes position by about 45 degrees although no one touches it.

The Kid (2) - S5-E4

Continuity mistake: When Niles and Daphne are talking at Frasier's door, Daphne says "Now poor Roz really is in that predicament" and her arms are in front of her with her hands clasped. Niles says, "Do I smell chicken?" and immediately her arms are crossed, without enough time for her to change position.

Show generally

Question: There's probably an obvious answer to this but is there any actual in-show significance to the 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' song heard at the end of every episode? I ask mainly because I remembered there was one show in particular where Frasier unintentionally scars Lilith emotionally and pretty much cements the end of their relationship over a misunderstanding about scrambled eggs. Were there any similar conflicts over a tossed salad?

Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
