Frasier

Hot Pursuit - S7-E18

Continuity mistake: When Kenny comes to Roz's hotel room, Frasier answers the door and his pyjama collar is tucked in under his robe. A couple of shots later it is outside his robe, though he never touched it, and in later shots it is back neatly under his robe.

Rivals - S7-E6

Continuity mistake: Frasier, Regan, Niles, and Poppy are at the ball - Frasier asks Regan to dance and she leaves her purse on the table, where we can see the strap hanging down over the edge. A couple of shots later, as they dance by, we can see the purse has changed position and the strap is lying on the table.

Miss Right Now - S11-E19

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Ronee and Frasier are talking at his table about her mother. Frasier asks, "She doesn't approve of premarital sex?" and his arm is folded in front of him. In the next shot, his elbow is on the table and his hand up in the air. Later on in the scene, Ronee's mother shows up at the door and we see Marty lunge to the right to grab his cane. A couple of seconds later the shot goes back to him and we see him lunge to the right for his cane again.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Across the show, Marty is supposed to be about 21 years older than Frasier (he turns 65 in season 5). There are at least two problems with his age - Frasier is supposed to have been born in March 1952 and in Season 5 (Roz and the Schnoz) Marty mentions going on shore leave as a single guy in 1952. Even if he was confused about the year, Frasier didn't call him on it. He must have done just a short stint in Korea as he was already a cop when he met Frasier's mother - they met at a murder scene, and he must have been 20 years old at the most. She was already a full fledged psychiatrist.

Legal Tender Love and Care - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: Roz is at Frasier's to tape some CDs, and we see her take some cassettes out of her purse. The shot goes to Frasier and then back to her - the cassettes have disappeared. After he explains that he can't stay, we see Roz open her purse and take out the cassettes again.

A Word to the Wiseguy - S3-E15

Continuity mistake: Frasier is on the phone at KACL with Jerome's girlfriend and the reflection in the glass shows him raising his hand to his face, but the next shot returns to him - his hand is on the console. There was no time for him to have shifted positions normally.

Police Story - S3-E20

Continuity mistake: Fairly early in the show Frasier has his dad call the police station to ask about a female officer Frasier is interested in. Marty asks for her name, hangs up, and gives Frasier a lot of information about Maureen that he couldn't have possibly learned in that short a time.

Three Blind Dates - S9-E17

Continuity mistake: During the opening credits, Niles, Roz, and Daphne are sitting on the couch. Niles has put Frasier's biography on the coffee table but when the shot changes and Frasier comes in, Niles is suddenly holding the bio in his hand.

A Man, a Plan and a Gal: Julia - S11-E2

Continuity mistake: Martin is standing at the door talking to Frasier about taking Eddie to the vet. From one shot to the next the leash changes position from being over Eddie's head to being under his chin - without enough time for this to happen naturally.

Beloved Infidel - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Frasier is at the dining room table with Niles looking at Niles's childhood journal. He has his left hand ready to turn a page but in the next shot his hand is on the table, with no time for a natural shift.

The Bad Son - S8-E3

Continuity mistake: Niles and Daphne are on the couch talking about the meteor shower and Niles is holding Daphne's hand between his right hand and his left knee. In the next shot, without enough time for this to happen naturally, his right hand is on his right knee.

Decoys - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: As part of his divorce settlement from Maris, Niles gains ownership of Shady Glen, Maris' mountain home. After this episode, Shady Glen is never seen or mentioned again. What's even odder is that Niles and the rest of the characters over the years go to mountain cabins, which makes no sense because wouldn't they just use Niles' place?

Three Dates and a Breakup (1) - S4-E19

Continuity mistake: Daphne has the bag of groceries on the floor between the coffee table and the couch - when Stephanie leaves the apartment the loaf of bread is sticking out on the left side but when Marty comes into the living room, the bread is now on the other side of the bag and leaning to the right.

Daphne Hates Sherry - S4-E21

Continuity mistake: When Frasier and Marty are sitting at the breakfast table, talking about the weather, Frasier's newspaper is sometimes folded over and sometimes not, although he never changes it from shot to shot.

Enemy at the Gate - S10-E2

Visible crew/equipment: When Frasier is standing through his sunroof to speak with the drivers stuck behind him in the parking garage, one shot shows Frasier's body and much of the rear window which features a very clear reflection of the boom mic.

Selling Out - S1-E9

Frasier: Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.

Show generally

Question: There's probably an obvious answer to this but is there any actual in-show significance to the 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' song heard at the end of every episode? I ask mainly because I remembered there was one show in particular where Frasier unintentionally scars Lilith emotionally and pretty much cements the end of their relationship over a misunderstanding about scrambled eggs. Were there any similar conflicts over a tossed salad?

Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
