When Jen comes through Dawson's bedroom window (near the end), a GhostFace mask from the "Scream" series can be seen on the shelf Dawson uses for his movie props. One of the "Creek" creators, Kevin Williamson was the independent writer of the original "Scream." It's even plausible that this is an actual mask from the movie. See more...

Deliberate "mistake": Throughout the first episode, Jen's bangs are long in scenes relating to her "Grams" and short in all other scenes. This is because the scenes involving her storyline with Grams was shot much later, after the show was picked up.
