Red Dwarf (1988) - 103 mistakes in series 5

Visible crew/equipment: When Rimmer is being questioned by the Inquisitor, a full boom mic and arm can be seen rising out of shot by the three candles on the right of the screen.

Continuity: After the Cat incapacitates Lister, the Cat complains about his collar being untidy, then steps aside. The next shot shows Lister stood on his own and the Cat is not visible at all. There was no time for the Cat to walk that fast between shots.

Continuity: After the Cat starts to cry, he is looking at Kryten and Lister. In the next shot he is looking down.

Continuity: When Lister, the Cat and Kryten figure out how to escape, Kryten says 'precisely' and raises his right hand. In the next shot, both of his hands are raised.

Continuity: When Kryten injects the luck virus into Lister's neck, the gun disappears from Kryten's hand between shots.

Continuity: At the start of the episode Kryten has crashed Starbug 1 onto the psi-moon. Lister and the Cat rescue him in Starbug 2, yet when the crew search for Rimmer in the swamp, they are in Starbug 1.

Visible crew/equipment: Just before Red Dwarf explodes, there is a shot of Lister. In the background you can see a moving shadow of a crew member on the floor.

Visible crew/equipment: When the Cat tries to attack Rimmer in quarantine, a boom mic can be seen at the top of the screen.

Continuity: After the crew fire at the Self-loathing Beast and the room fills with dust, the Cat's left hand is up in the air. In the next shot he is holding the bazooka with both hands.

Visible crew/equipment: When Binks arrives on Starbug, a boom mic can be seen at the top of the screen.

Audio problem: When the high Lister plays the harp, his fingers are out of sync to what is being played.

Visible crew/equipment: When Lister wipes down the biohazard cabinet, a boom mic can be seen in the top right of the screen. Also, just before the camera moves past the pillar, the entire microphone and arm can be glimpsed.

Visible crew/equipment: A boom mic shadow appears on Lister's head just after he opens the door with the severed hand.

Revealing: Just after the Trojans' conversation, there are two jolts. Lister jumps back too soon on the second jolt.

Visible crew/equipment: Just after Rimmer becomes smart, Kryten and Lister walk into the room. You can see the shadow of the cameraman on the floor before it pulls away.

Continuity: When Starbug gets taken over and Kryten says it is not a malfunction, he has his hands in the air. The camera cuts to Rimmer, and Kryten's hands are by his side.

Continuity: When the Inquisitor jumps Kryten from behind, Kryten's arm changes positions between cuts.

Revealing: As pointed out by Danny John Jules on the DVD Commentary, during the 'Feckles, Heckles, Hackles, Schmeckles' argument, Cat pushes his face right against Kryten's, leaving a brown makeup smear on Kryten's forehead. The mark is gone in the next shot.

Continuity: When the second version of Allman appears, he has his arms folded. In the next shot, they're down by his side.

Visible crew/equipment: At the start of the episode, when Lister and Kryten talk about Lister's comic, a boom mic shadow can be seen on Kryten's head.
