Star Trek: The Next Generation

Coming of Age - S1-E19

New this month Revealing mistake: In the corridor, as Wesley faces the Zaldan, the hallway behind the scene is obviously a painting due to the shadow of the support on the edges.

The Pegasus - S7-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: In the opening log entry of the first episode, Picard says that "I have been informed that a highly experienced man, one Commander William Riker..." He sounds as though he has been assigned a First Officer without knowing him. However, in this episode he tells Pressman that he read Riker's file, and wanted him, based on Riker's adamant refusal to obey an order that went against his safety protocol.

Peak Performance - S2-E21

New this month Visible crew/equipment: As Picard goes to sit in his seat, there's a shadow of the boom mike playing across the wall above Burke and Kolrami's heads.

Peak Performance - S2-E21

New this month Visible crew/equipment: As La Forge and Crusher leave the bridge, and the camera closes in on Riker, there's a shadow of a piece of filming equipment on the wall behind and to the left of his head, at the upper right of the shot.

Evolution - S3-E1

New this month Continuity mistake: In the processor room, the magnifier is centered on Data's fingers toward the palm, but the close up shows it was centered on the finger tip.

Evolution - S3-E1

New this month Continuity mistake: In the opening sequence, the ship is positioned so that Shuttle Bay Two is aimed at the phenomena. But a moment later, the ship is facing into the stellar material.

Samaritan Snare - S2-E17

New this month Other mistake: After the report that Picard is close to death, the scene shifts to a close up of La Forge's hand turning on controls. If you look closely, you can see that both panels are re-purposed CANX-23429 remote control units. The markings are for volume, radio, transmitter, receiver, phone jacks and a microphone jack.

Samaritan Snare - S2-E17

New this month Continuity mistake: As La Forge prepares to transport the Pakled shoots him. He reacts, and a second later reacts again.

Show generally

New this month Visible crew/equipment: Numerous times in the bridge scenes, the studio lighting rigs are seen in reflections on the work station screens.

Samaritan Snare - S2-E17

New this month Other mistake: When the Pakleds shoot La Forge the second time, he raises his arms a bit, seemingly in preparation to go backwards.

Unification (2) - S5-E8

Visible crew/equipment: When Picard, Spock, and Data have just escaped from Romulan Commander Sela, when they are walking out of the room look at the green glass ornament - you can see a reflection of a crew member.

Datalore - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: After drinking some spiked Champagne from Lore, Data falls backward, yet lands on his face.

The Big Goodbye - S1-E12

Other mistake: At the end of the episode after delivering his complex greeting to the Jarada, Picard and Riker head for the Turbo lift. Just as they are about to enter, Picard opens his mouth really wide as if making a funny face to someone inside the turbolift or maybe quietly celebrating a 'successful take' given the bizarre nature of the greeting! Although it was filmed from the side it is quite easy to spot.

Conspiracy - S1-E25

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of this episode, Riker orders Geordi (who was navigator at the time) to increase to Warp 6. In response, Geordi replies, "Aye sir, full impulse."

The Last Outpost - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: When Picard asks the Ferengi if they are withdrawing their surrender, Yar's arms pop back and forth from folded to extended as the shots change.

The Royale - S2-E12

Factual error: 30 seconds in Geordi says: 'surface temperature -291 degrees Celsius'. (The scale only goes down to -273.15 which is absolute zero).

The Big Goodbye - S1-E12

Visible crew/equipment: When Riker tells Yar to open a channel to the Jarada, you can see the reflection of a boom mike in the workstation along the back wall behind him.

Yesterday's Enterprise - S3-E15

Continuity mistake: In the episode 'Yesterday's Enterprise' (season three, episode 15), watch the final scene with Geordi and Guinan in Ten-Forward. Although time and the universe has returned to normal, Geordi is still wearing the uniform from the alternate timeline (note the sleeve detail, and the extended neck piece).

Silicon Avatar - S5-E4

Continuity mistake: When Dr Marr and Data are talking in the cave about her dead son, she is holding the tricorder upside down.

Realm of Fear - S6-E2

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Barcley reappears on the transporter with the crewmember, they both fall to the ground. The transporter chief had put up a forcefield around the transporter chamber, in case something goes wrong. However, when the crewmember falls to the ground, his foot goes right through where the forcefield is meant to be. It is still active, as only a few seconds later we see it being deactivated.
