Continuity: When Carrie is lying on her bed, she is wearing yellow pants over a green top. The top portion of her pants is unbuttoned/unzipped as she moves. But after she picks up the phone to call Big, she is sitting up on her bed, and her pants are suddenly buttoned/zipped completely up. There was no opportunity in this sequence for her to have closed her pants.
Continuity: When Carrie and Mr. Big are arguing out on the street in front of her apartment, there is a shot of her holding the leash for Pete the dog in both hands. But suddenly as she is yelling at Mr. Big, you can see her throw both her hands up in the air and touch her head. She is not holding the leash at all. Then seconds later; there is a shot of her legs as Pete is running off, dragging the leash from her body and waist as if she is still holding it.
Continuity: When Carrie is in Big's kitchen, and hears Natasha come home, she tries to leave in a hurry. She puts on her blue levi jacket, so it's about halfway on with her left arm in the sleeve. But in the next shot of her, Carrie is suddenly wearing only her pink bra and carrying the blue jacket. As she unlocks the door and starts running down the stairs, she throws on the blue levi jacket for the second time.
Continuity: When Samantha is in the waiting room to get her results for the AIDS test; the wide shot shows two women seated in the orange chairs on the left. One of them has a pony tail and glasses. A man with dark hair is also seated in the chairs on the right. But when we see the waiting room again right before Samantha faints; only one woman is seated in the orange chairs on the left, and the woman with the pony tail and glasses has moved down, and over to the far yellow chairs on the left. There is also a second man in a blue shirt seated closer to Samantha, in the chairs on the right. This entire scene occurred in seconds; and there was no time for anyone to have gotten up, sat down or moved locations.
Continuity: When Carrie and Mr. Big are having their affair in the 3rd hotel; it is located on 56th & 8th, and is described as being a 'seedy location'. When you see the inside of the hotel room, it is obviously a very cheap, tacky hotel. But later in the episode when Carrie and Mr. Big are in the lobby of this same hotel on 56th & 8th (verified in voice over); it is obviously the lobby of a much nicer, elegant, more expensive hotel.
Revealing: When Samantha and her partner are using the 'swing,' you can tell from the long shot that Kim Cattrall is actually wearing some sort of prosthetic around her hips, to simulate her rear area. It is larger, and sticks out prominently in an unnatural manner. This was probably done to ensure modesty for the actress.
Other: When Carrie, Samantha and Miranda step outside of the hotel so Carrie can have a cigarette, she takes a couple of draws then throws it down on the step. She tries to stub it out with her shoe by twisting her foot on it but she (the actress) accidentally kicks the cigarette down the step, so she has to just pretend to still be stubbing it out.
Plot hole: At the beginning of this episode, Carrie mentions in voiceover that they had been in LA for over a week. It's obvious in this episode, that they are staying in LA for a second week. But Carrie never showed up at the second meeting for the Production Company, which would have ended her work with them. Since the Production Company was paying for 2 hotel rooms; it isn't likely they would have let the girls stay in those rooms for 2 weeks for free, when Carrie quit the project after only a few days. And it's doubtful the girls would have elected to pay full price for an expensive hotel in LA for almost 2 weeks on their own, when they had expected to stay there for free.
Deliberate "mistake": Whenever Charlotte and Trey are shown sitting on the therapist's couch, Charlotte is considerably taller than Trey. They are both sitting on exactly the same surface, so there is no logical reason for this. In reality, Trey is actually taller than Charlotte. She should not be sticking up higher than him on the couch.
Revealing: When the gardener hands Charlotte the rose, he is supposedly picking it out of some rose bushes he is in the process of planting. He even makes a motion as if 'picking' it from the bunch. But when he hands the single long stem rose to Charlotte; it's obvious that this rose has already been cut, and is missing the lower leaves.
Revealing: When the transvestite is throwing eggs at Samantha's window, she is holding the cardboard egg container in her left hand. She keeps throwing eggs, but you can tell by the way she is holding the egg container that it is really empty. It flops down vertically from her hand, and there is no way eggs would be able to remain in the egg crate by holding it in that manner.
Continuity: When Carrie is showering after being stood up at her party she is not wearing mascara as she stands with her face under the water, then as she opens the curtain to talk to Charlotte again there is no mascara. She puts her hands briefly over her eyes and when she takes them away, mascara is visible all over her eyes and cheeks.
