Buffy The Vampire Slayer

When She Was Bad - S2-E1

Other mistake: At the end of the episode Willow mentions going to the Bronze on a Wednesday night, Buffy also mentions to Giles that she got almost everyone killed on the second day of school. From the different clothing being worn each day, it's obviously been more than 2 school days and should instead be Thursday by the end of the episode.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Willow is interrogating Jonathan, she makes a comment about how he resented being pushed around. In the first shot, she's facing him. It then cuts to the opposite angle, and she's facing sideways. Then, in the very next shot, she suddenly turns 180 degrees between cuts after walking by him.

Chosen - S7-E22

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the episode, when Buffy lands on the school bus she's wearing pointed toe pink shoes, but in the next shot where she's jumping off the bus roof, she's wearing brown Timberlake boots. (00:39:11 - 00:39:40)

Welcome To The Hellmouth (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: The scene where Xander is on his skateboard, he becomes distracted seeing Buffy walk up the stairs and accidentally hits the pole. When the camera pans back, you can see Buffy is out of view, and is nowhere to be seen. Because she was still at the top of the stairs when Xander hit the pole, you should have been able to see her walking in the background.

The Body - S5-E16

Visible crew/equipment: Buffy and the gang are in the waiting room after being told the cause of Joyce's death. After Willow asks "Why don't we sit down?" the camera pans from right to left and the camera focused on Dawn becomes visible at screen left. Some frames later it appears again as Dawn leaves to "pee" and the camera zooms out. (00:32:55)

Go Fish - S2-E20

Other mistake: After Gage turns into a monster and fights Buffy, the two monsters slide into an open grate. During the shot, there's some sort of weird "glitch" in the background where the garbage can and wall seem to slightly move. All I can assume is that a few frames were trimmed to speed up the shot and it may have exaggerated subtle camera movement, making the background appear to "jump" slightly.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Buffy, Willow, and Cordy are talking at the swim meet (after Gage waves at Buffy), the way Buffy is holding her hands changes back and forth between two positions as it cuts between her and Cordy. Seems two different takes were used, and she had her hands in slightly different positions in them.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is spying on Gage, she picks up a magazine to blend in. A few shots later, she's suddenly holding a completely different magazine. She didn't pick up a different one between cuts. It's supposed to be the same one.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Audio problem: When Xander finds Cameron's skin, he is gasping and puts his hand over his mouth. The audio of him gasping, however, isn't muffled at all as it would be if he had his hand over his mouth, revealing it was looped in after the fact.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: After Willow says that the student was killed by being opened up like an Oreo "except without the chocolaty cookie goodness," Buffy's hands go from together to apart instantly between cuts. She then puts her hands back together only for them to be apart again in the next shot.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is complaining to the others about getting in trouble over hurting Cameron in the library, her hands go back and forth from down by her sides to holding her hips between cuts a few times.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Cameron is about to say "You like it rough" to Buffy near the start, you can tell he's starting to reach for her. It then cuts to the opposite angle and he starts to reach for her a second time.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is talking to Cameron in his car near the start, the amount of light on Cameron's face coming through the windshield changes between cuts a few times. Sometimes the top is up over his eyes, sometimes it's down by his nose, etc. Also, depending on the angle, sometimes there's a purple glow on his face and sometimes not.

Go Fish - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Buffy and the guy are talking at the beach in the beginning, right before they hear a voice scream "Somebody help me!", the guy starts to turn to look at the tide. However, in the next shot, he's instantly facing Buffy again and then turns to face the tide a second time.

Touched - S7-E20

Spike: You listen to me. [Kneels in front of her.] I've been alive a bit longer than you, and dead a lot longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't imagine, and done things I prefer you didn't. I don't exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood, which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes, a lot of wrong bloody calls. A hundred plus years, and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of: you. [Buffy looks away; he reaches toward her face.] Hey, look at me. I'm not asking you for anything. When I say, "I love you, " it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.
Buffy: [Quietly.] I don't wanna be the one.

Chosen answer: "So goes the nation" seems to have been used on many occasions, with various different US states in the "As .... goes" section. Most commonly it seems to be California that's considered to lead the way, but probably most other states have appeared in the lead role at some point or another. Other things have also been used - no less a person that Pope John Paul II said "As the family goes, so goes the nation...". The origin of the quote format is unclear - in US politics it goes back into the 19th century, when it was Maine that held the title spot, but, while no definitive origin is known, it seems highly likely that it goes back considerably further than that.
