Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click "make changes" when viewing mistakes, and click "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

The Wish (series 3)

Entry How exactly does everyone know that Xander cheated on Cordelia? I can't see any of the characters involved being very eager to spread it around. [Cordelia would have told somebody why she was no longer with Xander. It actually seems realistic because small town high schools always have everyone somehow knowing everyone else's business.]
Entry Anya is introduced as Anya Emerson, but in subsequent episodes ("Checkpoint", "Selfless" etc.) she is always referred to as Anya Jenkins. There is no logical reason for her name to have changed since she was still trapped in the same persona. [As she says many times after season 3 - she made up the name Anya Jenkins. If she didn't intend on staying in Sunnydale in the first place - what difference does it make if she changes it.]
Entry In other episodes we see how easily vampires combust, but in this episode a match is thrown onto Angel's bare chest and it only burns him. [Older vampires don't burst into flame as easily as younger ones. VampWillow knows a match isn't enough fire to destroy Angel. (Otherwise, what would be the point of doing it to torture him?)] Corrected by Captain Defenestrator

Lover's Walk (series 3)

Entry Buffy is talking to her mother about college while making a bag of microwave popcorn. When the microwave goes off, she takes the fully-popped bag out and opens it. When it opens, there is no puff of smoke from the heated oil in the bag, indicating that it was pre-popped for the scene. [I've made microwave popcorn many times and have never seen a puff of smoke. Perhaps the puff of smoke occurs when overheating his/her popcorn.]
Entry In this episode, the holy water shouldn't have hurt the vampires through their clothing. [Water can soak through clothes.] Corrected by Phixius

Revelations (series 3)

Entry In 'Revelations', after Mrs. Post attacks Giles, when Buffy finds him he manages to tell her that living flame must be used to destroy the Glove of Mynhgon before the paramedics take him away. Since Angel already knew this, wouldn't it have been much more useful if he had warned her that Mrs. Post was an imposter? [This mistake falls under the "why" rule. Giles took a nasty knock to the head and is currently in an emergent medical situation, so it's not surprising that he isn't thinking clearly. In this state, it is more important to tell Buffy how to destroy the Glove immediately and prevent it from falling into anyone's hands than to tell her to keep it away from one specific person.]
Entry At the end of the episode, we find out that Gwendolyn Post was kicked out of the Watchers' Council for misuse of dark power and that the Council had informed everyone of the fact via memo. If that's the case, then why would she use her real name when she arrived in Sunnydale? Wouldn't she be worried that Giles would recognize her? [Giles says the Council "swears there was a memo." It's quite possible that this was just the Council trying to cover itself, since there was no communication to agents in the field - the event was so obvious to people in the Council that they didn't think it necessary to make a specific communication about it.]

Beauty And The Beasts (series 3)

Entry In the episode "Beauty and the Beasts" where Buffy has to see the school psychiatrist she finds him dead in his office, when she walks into his office she says she's on time for her two o'clock appointment but the clock over the door of the office reads twenty past four. [This could be sarcasm by Buffy. She knows she's late, but she has to be there.]

Faith, Hope And Trick (series 3)

Entry When Faith asks Buffy what her toughest kill was, she tells her "The Three", from the season one episode "Angel", but in that episode Buffy barely encountered them. She saw them once in an alley and was barely harmed in the encounter - in the end, it was Darla who killed them. One would assume her first thoughts would be of someone like the Master (who killed her) or The Judge (who was indestructible). [Buffy is distracted because she is thinking about her actual toughest kill: Angel. She mentally grasps for some fight that was not witnessed by anyone present (who might contradict its difficulty) and comes up with the Three. Neither fight with the Master lasted more than a few minutes and the Judge was killed in one hit from a rocket launcher.]
Entry When Buffy complains about Faith's methods, Giles reminds her "She did kill one of them in the alley", but during the alley fight Faith didn't kill anyone. Buffy staked all four vampires. [He was talking about the one Faith killed earlier outside the Bronze, when Buffy first met her.]
Entry In 'Faith, Hope and Trick', Kakistos and the other vampires enter Faith's apartment without an invite. [Faith lives in a motel. Public accommodations are an exception to the invitation rule.] Corrected by Captain Defenestrator

All of series 3 (series 3)

Entry If the mayor knows about both slayers (if he didn't know before hand, his assassin Trick would have told him) then surely he would have realised they were a threat and tried to eliminate them earlier. I appreciate it wouldn't have benefited the season at all but for a highly efficient mayor who was determined, his plan would go without a hitch. It seems pretty careless. [Faith was turned evil by the end of the season and Buffy wasn't really a threat by herself. The "Scooby Gang" helped out quite a bit. And maybe the mayor was just plain overconfident in his abilities and severely underestimated the scooby gang's. The French built an impenetrable wall along their border with Germany to stave off an invasion. Germany responded by going around the wall, invading Belgium and then France.] Corrected by Rlvlk

Restless (series 4)

Entry In Willow's dream when she's painting symbols of Tara, in the shot where she draws the last symbol, she hasn't finished the line, but in the next shot, she had finished that line. [It's a dream. Anything can happen in a dream.] Corrected by Nelleke Rietvink

Goodbye Iowa (series 4)

Entry Room 314 is supposedly in a high security sector of the Initiative which needs to be accessed by a keycard, but in "Goodbye Iowa" all the soldiers are gathered around the door of it to see Walsh's body. How did they get in there? [Assuming that the scientists working with Maggie aren't expecting her to be lying dead in the room then the first person to enter the room would most likely stop at the doorway in shock. After that all it takes is for people to stop at the door wanting to see whats made this person stand there & it would snowball from there.]

The I In Team (series 4)

Entry In "The I In Team", Buffy tells Maggie Walsh that's she's always wanted a pager. Buffy has already had a pager, seen in "Never Kill A Boy On The First Date". [In "Never Kill A Boy On The First Date," she grabs Giles' pager out of his front jacket pocket when she says "If the Apocalypse comes, beep me." Buffy hasn't had a pager of her own prior to this moment.]

Doomed (series 4)

Entry While fighting in the Hellmouth scene, you can see Buffy fighting the demon but in the background Spike has his vampire face on but when the shot goes back to him its his normal face again. [He can make the change pretty quick.] Corrected by Phixius

Hush (series 4)

Entry Everyone who writes on a white board does it with the same handwriting. [No, they don't. They all write in block print, which makes them appear similar, but if you look closely you can see that there are definite differences between their handwriting (especially Willow's loopy "Hi Giles" and Xander's cramped "How do we kill them?").]

Something Blue (series 4)

Entry Buffy and Willow's have dorm has communal bathrooms. Why then does Willow choose to do her spell in the bathroom where anyone could walk in on her? [It's late at night and she probably doesn't want to wake up Buffy. The bathroom is probably the most secluded place to do it.]

The Initiative (series 4)

Entry In "The Initiative" in Season 4, Spike is given the chip implant that causes intense neurological pain if he harms a human. We see this take effect when he tries to bite Willow, but he was able to beat up the doctors at the Initiative to escape. [It's possible the chip was only activated after his escape from the Initiative.]
Entry Spike must have had his chip implanted while he was unconcious. If so, how did he attack the Initiative scientists without any pain when he tried to escape? You could argue that they programmed him to be capable of violence within the Initiative only, but why would super smart scientists program an evil being to be able to escape at the first opportunity? [They only activated his chip after his escape from the Initiative.]
