Apparently Ross is Monica's older brother but, in the one where they're going to PARTY!, it is stated that Ross, Joey and Chandler are all the same age (29 at this point)and in the one with the birth Monica says she is 26 and Joey says he is 25, so if Joey is younger than Monica and Ross and Joey are the same age then Ross can't be Monica's older brother. [In this episode, Chandler is the only one who states that he is 29. There is no reference to how old Joey and Ross are.]

In early seasons in Chandler and Joey's apartment, there is a shelf between the fridge and the wall. In later seasons the shelf has disapeared and the whole kitchen has shifted so the fridge is against the wall. [It is not unreasonable for something to disappear throughout 10 years.]

In an episode shortly after Rachel and Ross break up, Rachel makes reference to the fact that she is like Kip, yet she would never have met Kip because by the time she joined the group, Joey was already Chandelor's roommate. [She could have heard the others talk about Kip, and compared herself to the mental image she had of this (to her) unknown person.]

The guys on the Fooz-ball table changes color during the show. [At one point they get a new table, and this is where it changes colour.]

Whenever exterior shots of Ross' apartment building are shown, it is across the street from Monica's apartment building, which is the side that doesn't have balconies on, however Monica and Chandler are able to see into Ross's apartment from their balcony. Even if their apartment does have a balcony on the back, Ross's building is on the wrong side of theirs. [Ross' apartment is across the alley, not across the street. Ross lives on the same block and the apartments face each other across an alley.]

In episode 8.15, Phoebe accepts saltwater taffy treats from Ross saying she has never eaten them before when in episode 2.23, she mentioned that her then boyfriend, Ryan, a guy who is in the navy, gave her saltwater taffy for playing her guitar because he didn't have any change. [That doesn't mean she ate it. I wouldn't eat a piece of candy some stranger put in my bag.]

In most episodes at any point in Joey's apartment, the amount of CDs in the CD rack keeps changing. [How on earth is that a mistake?? My CD collection changed innumerable times over the course of 10 years.]

In Season 2 Episode 1 'TOW Ross' New Girlfriend' Joey is talking about how his tailor did his first pants when he was either 15 or 16. He wasn't sure and said 'When was 1990?' Indicating that he was 15 or 16 in 1990. In Season 6 Episode 19 'TOW Joey's Fridge' It was revealed that in 1981 Joey was 13. Which means that Joey was born in 1968. If Joey was born in 1968, then in 1990 he was 22. [He never says that in 1990 he was 16. He was asking when was 1990 to have a time reference, and then calculate when the event happened in relation to that.]

The One Where Rachel Finds Out (series 1)

In the final episode of the first season, Rachel recalls how Ross considered asking her on a date on her first night in the city. However, the incident actually occurs (in the pilot episode) on her SECOND night in New York. [Yes, Rachel made a mistake but the human memory is quite fallible and to remember the wrong day several months later isn't really a mistake in the show, it's a normal human failing.]

The One with the Fake Monica (series 1)

In the scene where Monica returns home with the $20,000 check, after Chandler reveals it is real Rachel remarks "I can't believe this is a real $40,000 check." [Rachel does say a $20,000 check.]

Monica comes home drunk after going for drinks with fake Monica. Watch how easily she sobers up, when the police call to tell her they've arrested fake Monica. [Ever gotten a "shock" while drunk? Often times it causes you to suddenly sober up for a few minutes while you process it.]

After Ross chides Marcel for humping the lamp, in the next shot, you can see Marcel come out from the hallway leading to the closet. He was obviously released from back there by the handlers for that particular shot. [Marcel manages to move the lamp to by there and could easaly have gone up there before coming out to Ross and the gang.]

The One Where the Monkey Gets Away (series 1)

In TOW Rachel loses the monkey, she calls animal control. Ross comes home and is shouting at her when the woman comes. Rachel asks who it is, but never actually buzzes her in, yet somehow she gets in. [Good timing explains this one. If anyone was coming out, or a resident with a key was going in they could simply hold the door for her.]

When Chandler and Joey are talking to the girls in towels you can see the apartment number is 5 but when Monica and Phoebe are talking to Mr Heckles his apartment number is also 5. [The girl's apartment was 5 (before it changed), Mr Heckles has got apartment 8.]

The One with Two Parts: Part 2 (series 1)

When George Clooney answers the phone (while Monica and Rachel are pretending to be each other), he starts handing the phone to Rachel, saying "Rachel, it's your dad", but should be passing it to Monica (as he thinks her name's Rachel). The angle then changes, and now he's handing it to Monica. [In the first shot it is not clear that Noah Wyle's head is in the way. If George Clooney passed the phone straight to Monica then he would hit him. In the next shot it is clear that he passes the phone while avoiding him which is why he appears initially to be passing it to Rachel.]

When Monica is filling out Rachel's medical information, she has to change the name on the form so Rachel can use her insurance. You can see that she has a pencil in her hand. However, she goes up to the desk to get a new form. It makes no sense that she would arouse suspicion when all she had to do was erase Rachel's name and put hers. [Insurance forms often have multiple carbon copies. Even a pencil will leave a carbon impression on the other pages from the pressure of the tip. If there were no carbons used, the pencil point still leaves an impression on the top copy, even when erased. Monica is also perfectionist, she did not want there to be any revealing inconsistencies on the form.]

The One with Two Parts: Part 1 (series 1)

In this episode, Chandler is speaking to Nina, when they both agree that their processing term, "WENUS" is short for "Weekly Estimated Net Usage Statistics". However, this is inconsistent with the previous episode: Season 1, Episode 15, The One With The Stoned Guy. In that episode, Chandler is speaking to Monica, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe in Central Perk, when he says that "WENUS" is short for "Weekly Estimated Net Usage Systems". [Chandler has made very clear that he doesn't care about his job and since none of his friends know or care what he does, why would he worry about getting this right?]

The One with the Candy Hearts (series 1)

The English subtitles on the DVD show Carol's last name is Willet - but it's Willick. [Subtitle mistakes on the dvd are not mistakes made by the show. They are DVD production mistakes.]

In this episode Ross wants to go and ask Kristen on a date, so Chandler and Joey give him an egg and tell him to return it to her. When he comes back and says and she said yes,he kind of wiggles his fingers around and we see that they are empty, but when he hugs Chandler he says that he still has the egg in his hand. Did it just magically appear out of nowhere? [When Ross comes back and says he got the date, Chandler hugs him and we hear a cracking noise. Chandler asks "Still got the egg?" and Ross nods. No one says anything about a hand because it's not in his hand - it's in his coat pocket.]

Just before Ross crushes the egg on Chandler's back, you can see that he has nothing in either of his hands. You can see Ross shaking his fingers as he says 'she said yes' [The egg is in Ross's jacket pocket, not his hand. That is why Ross and Chandler awkwardly move off in kind of hug.]
